Today is the naming ceremony of baby. He is 11 days old today.
Shivansh was dressed in a dark blue kurta with white pajama and was trying to get the baby ready while Ruhanika was getting ready.
After some time, Ruhanika came out of the closet dressed in a Muslin silk soft saree of lavender colour. Her hair were tied in a messy braid, small earrings in her ear. Mangalsutra lay elegantly on her neck and sindoor in her hairline. She kept her look minimal and soft so that it does not disturb baby.
Shivansh, seeing Ruhanika come out of the closet went to her.
Shivansh,"Bohot zyada khoobsurat lag rahi ho Mumma."
(You are looking very pretty Mumma.)
Ruhanika,"Aur aap bohot handsome lag rahe hai Papa."
(And you are looking very handsome Dad.)
Shivansh,"Toh is Papa pe daya karo aur uske bachhe ko taiyaar kardo. Kapde hi nahi pehen raha. Jaise hi kapde pehnane jaata hu rone lagta hai aur kapde rakhe du toh rona band."
(Then please help this Dad and get his son ready. He is not wearing his clothes. As soon as I try to make him wear the clothes he starts crying and as soon as I keep the clothes he stops.)
Ruhanika chuckled and shook her head.
Ruhanika,"Main pehna deti hu kapde."
(I'll make him wear the clothes.)
Ruhanika went to the baby and picked up his small blue kurta, matching Shivansh's.
Ruhanika,"Kya hua mere Babu ko? Papa se kapde nahi pehenne? Kya mumma pehna de? Mera Babu ready hoke kitna handsome lagega. Achha bachha hai na mera Babu, mumma ki jaan hai na. Aur yeh ho gayi mumma ki jaan ready."
(What happened to my Babu? You dont want Dad to make you wear the clothes? Shall mumma make you wear it? My Babu will look so handsome after getting ready. He is a good boy, my Babu, he is mumma's love. And here is mumma's love ready.)
Shivansh,"Phewww."
As Ruhanika made the baby lay on the bed again, Shivansh pulled her towards himself. And caging her in his arms spoke,"Woh chutku mumma ki jaan hai toh uske papa?"
(Little one is Mumma's love, then what is his Dad?)
Ruhanika,"Uske Papa mein toh puri uski mumma hai. Uski mumma ka dil, jaan, sab kuch uske papa mein basta hai."
(His mumma herself resides in his Dad. His mumma's heart, life, love, everything is his dad.)
Shivansh pecked her lips,"I Love You Ruhh!!!!"
Ruhanika,"I Love You Shiv!!!"
With that, Shivansh picked up the baby and both of them descended the stairs.
Soon, they sat for the Puja.
As the Puja came to an end.
Panditji,"Bachhe ka naam A se rakhna hai."
(Baby should be named from A)
Shivansh and Ruhanika shared a glance. Shivansh caressed the head of the baby who was playing in Ruhanika's lap and spoke,"Iska naam hum Advik rakhenge. Advik matlab unique."
(He will be named Advik, which means unique.)
Everyone,"Bohot achha naam hai."
(It's very nice name.)
Panditji,"Ab iska naam iski Maa is thal mein kumkum se likh de."
(Now baby's mumma will write his name in the plate with vermillion.)
Ruhanika wrote Advik's name on the plate. Then she kissed his forehead and spoke,"Mera Advik, Mera Babu."
(My Advik, my Babu.)
The youngsters were sitting together and elders were sitting elsewhere. Panditji soon left.
Aarohi,"Advik ka pet name kya hoga Bhai-Bhabhi?"
(What will be Advik's nickname?)
Ruhanika,"Advik ka toh kuch short nahi hota. Kuch aur sochte hai."
(There is no short of Advik. We have to think of something else.)
Parinidhi,"Ha."
(Yes.)
Shivansh,"Advik ko Advik hi bulate hai. Uske naam ka matlab hi unique hota hai toh ek hi naam rakhte hai na."
(Advik should be called Advik only. His name means unique so he should have only one name.)
Rajveer,"Bhai ki baat toh sahi hai"
(Bhai is right.)
Parinidhi,"Bus toh phir. Decided hai, Advik ka koi nickname nahi hoga, sab Advik hi bulayenge."
(Okay then. It's decided, Advik won't have any nickname, he will be called Advik only.)
Aarav,"Done. Ab chalo video shoot karte hai. Aaru, chal camera chalu kar. Bhabhi, Advik."
(Done. Now we have to shoot the video. Aaru, bring the camera. Bhabhi, Advik.)
Ruhanika,"Chalo. Garden mein."
(Lets go. In the garden.)
All the youngsters reached the garden area, where photo shoot started.
First of all, Aarav picked up Advik toh shoot his video.
Then Aarohi got her pictures clicked, some with Advik and some with both the kids.
This was followed by Parinidhi, some were her with Advik, some both the kids and some with kids and Rajveer.
Then came the turn of new Parents.
First, family pictures were taken. Aarav clicked a lot of cute pictures of the three of them.
Then some with Kartik included.
Later, some of Advik and Shivansh amd Then lots and lots of Ruhanika and Advik.
Lastly, Advik got his solo photo shoot done.
Shivansh has started his office and he is managing cafe as well.
It was late in the evening when Shivansh came from office. He entered their room to see Advik in Ruhanika's lap, both of them playing.
Ruhanika,"Shiv! Aaj itna late?"
(Shiv, you got very late today?)
Shivansh,"Ha, aaj thoda kaam zyada tha."
(Yeah, there was a bit too much work.)
Ruhanika,"Aap fresh ho jaiye, main khana le aati hu."
(You freshen up, I will get your dinner.)
Shivansh nodded and went to freshen up. Ruhanika settled Advik in his crib and went to get Shivansh's dinner.
Shivansh came out after freshening up to see Ruhanika on the couch waiting for him a plate of food.
Shivansh,"Tumne khaya?"
(You ate?)
Ruhanika,"Ji. Woh Advik ko feed karana hota hai na toh Badi Maa ne kaha ki time se khana padta hai. Isiliye maine sabke saath kha liya."
(Yes. Actually, I have to feed Advik, so Badi Maa told me that I have to eat on time. So I ate with everyone.)
Shivansh,"Thik kiya. Apna dhyaan rakhna abhi zyada zaroori hai. Main jaldi aa jaata par aaj kaam zyada ho gaya tha."
(You did right. You have to take care of yourself. I would have come early but today there was more work.)
While saying that, he picked up Advik in his arms and settled beside Ruhanika.
Ruhanika,"Koi baat nahi. Aap office aur Cafe dono sambhal rahe hai. Ho jaata hai late. Its okay."
(It's okay. You manage office and cafe both, it happens.)
Shivansh,"Aaaaaa."
Ruhanika chuckled and forwarded a bite towards him. But to their surprise, little Advik hit his little hand on Ruhanika's hand before Shivansh could take the bite.
Ruhanika,"Babu, yeh kya tha beta? Papa ko khana khane do."
(Babu, what was that? Let Papa have his dinner.)
Ruhanika again forwarded a bite to receive the same light slap from her son.
Shivansh,"Main khud hi kha leta hu. Yeh Piddu toh tumhare haath se khane nahi dega."
(I'll eat it myself. This little one won't let me eat from your hands.)
Ruhanika kept the plate on the table and took Advik from Shivansh. And Shivansh helped himself to the food.
After finishing Shivansh's dinner, Ruhanika started strolling in the room to put Advik to sleep, when Shivansh went to put his plate in the kitchen.
As Shivansh entered the room, and Advik's eyes fell on him, he started crying.
Ruhanika,"Kya hua Babu? Mera Babu kya ro raha hai?"
(What happened Babu? Why is my Babu crying?)
But Advik kept crying looking at Shivansh.
Shivansh carefully took Advik from Ruhanika's arms and started strolling in the room to make him sleep, while patting his back.
Shivansh,"Tumhare haatho se khana nahi khane de raha tha aur ab mujhse chipak raha hai. Main bata raha hu Ruhh, yeh Piddu mujhe tumse dur karne k plans bana raha hai."
(He was not letting me eat from your hands and now he is sticking to me. I am telling you Ruhh, this little boy wants to separate me from you.)
Ruhanika,"Kya Shiv? Aap hi ka beta hai, aise mat kahiye bachhe ko."
(What are you saying Shiv? He is your son, don't say like this to baby.)
Shivansh,"Thik hai thik hai, pehli baar hai, toh jaane deta hu."
(Fine fine, it's first time so I am letting him off.)
Ruhanika chuckled and then went to the bed. Shivansh patted Advik to sleep and put him in his crib. He then came besides Ruhanika amd slept after cuddling her.
Advik is now 6 months old.
Advik has started crawling around the house and is very fast at it. Kartik has started walking as well. Both the brothers share a sweet bond and are always stuck to each other.
Ruhanika was in her room, she has just returned from the cafe when Aarohi came to her room.
Aarohi,"Bhabhi, ye lijiye. Main aaj DIY store gayi thi toh yeh kuch aapke liye."
(Bhabhi, here. I went to the DIY store today, so I got these for you.)
Ruhanika,"Thanks Aaru."
Aarohi,"Bhabhi, yeh candle smell kijiye. Bohot mast smell hai."
(Bhabhi, smell this candle. Its really nice.)
With that, Aarohi lit the candle.
Ruhanika,"Bohot achhi hai Aaru."
(It's very nice Aaru.)
Aarohi,"Achha Bhabhi, main chalti hu, Pari Bhabhi ko bhi unki bag deni hai aur babies ki gifts unko deni hai."
(Okay bhabhi, I'll leave. I have to hand these to Pari bhabhi, and babies as well.)
Ruhanika nodded. Aarohi, by mistake kept the lit candle on the bedside table. Ruhanika went into the washroom to freshen up.
When Ruhanika came out of the washroom, she was shocked to see their whole room engulfed in the fire.
The curtains caught the fire from the candle which soon spread in the room.
Ruhanika couldn't move anywhere. Whole room was filled with smoke and fire. She shouted for help.
Meanwhile, Shivansh had just returned from the office and was going towards his room when he heard Ruhanika's screams. The whole family rushed towards the room and were shocked to see the scene in front of them.
The sight of his mother surrounded by fire in her own house flashed in from of Shivansh's eyes. He couldn't afford the same with Ruhanika. He was a child when the incident happened, but now he was a grown up. He couldn't lose Ruhanika, his Ruhh. He had to save her. He was no longer a little boy who couldn't save his mother. He was now a young man, a husband who had to save hi wife, a father who had to save his son's mother.
Without thinking much, he opened the door of the room and rushed inside.
Inside, Ruhanika was struggling to breathe. She was conscious yet struggling for breathe.
Shivansh came near her, and picked her up in his arms, and brought her out of the room. The family was extinguishing the fire. The fire soon subsided.
Shivansh took Ruhanika to the guest room. Aarav called the doctor to check on her.
The doctor checked Ruhanika and gave a green signal as she was rescued early and she had not inhaled much carbon dioxide.
Parinidhi,"Doctor, Bhabhi baby ko feed kara sakti hai?"
(Doctor, cam bhabhi feed the baby?)
Doctor,"Ji, 24 hours k baad."
(After 24 hrs.)
Soon the doctor left.
Ruhanika,"Sh-Shiv, Babu?"
Rajveer,"Bhabhi, woh niche hai, Maa k pass."
(He is downstairs, with Maa.)
Aarav,"Main leke aata hu Bhabhi, Advik ko."
(I'll bring him bhabhi.)
Parinidhi,"Bhabhi, aag lagi kaise?"
(Bhabhi, how did the fire start?)
Ruhanika shook her head,"Mujhe nahi pata."
(Idk.)
Aarohi,"Par mujhe pata hai. Bhabhi, I am very sorry, maine shayad woh candle bujhayi nahi thi aur usse hi..."
(But Ik. Bhabhi, sorry, I think I kept the lit candle in your room. I forgot to blow it off.)
Shivansh's fear of losing Ruhanika took its best and he ended up getting angry on Aarohi.
Shivansh,"Dhyaan kaha tha tera Aarohi? Aaj kuch ho jaata toh. Jalti candle mere room mein rakhne ki kya zaroorat thi? Aaj meri Ruhh ko kuch ho jaata toh? Dimaag kharab hai kya tera? Har cheese mein bachpana laan band kar aur thodi responsibility lena sikh. Agar candle jalayi hai toh use band bhi karni hoti hai."
(Where was your mind Aarohi? What if something had happened today? What was the need to keep the lit candle in my room. What if something had happened to my Ruhh? Are you mad? You can't be childish in such things and learn to take some responsibility. If you lit the candle you should have blew it off.)
Seeing Shivansh's anger getting out if control, Ruhanika held his wrist and shook it.
She gently shook her head, when his eyes met hers.
Aarohi,"I am sorry Bhai, I am sorry Bhabhi."
With that, she left the room with tears in her eyes.
Ruhanika,"Bhai..."
Rajveer understood her saying and went after Aarohi.
Soon after Aarav entered the room. He had heard the conversation from the doorway.
Ruhanika took Advik from Aarav and kissed his whole face, erupting giggles from him.
Aarav went to Aarohi's room, knowing she might as well need him.
Advik,"Maaa...aa.aa....."
Ruhanika,"Ha Mera Babu, mumma yahi hai."
(Yes my Babu, mumma is here.)
With that, she kept Advik on the bed and pulled Shivansh to sit in front of her. Then without saying anything, she engulfed him a hug. Shivansh buried his face in the curve of her neck and tightened his grip on her. Ruhanika felt the tears wetting her shoulder but she let him be. She knew he needed to release. She knew it was really hard for him to see her in the fire. She knew he lost his mother in fire, which was the reason for his pyrophobia.
Shivansh,"Main bohot darr gaya tha Ruhh. Tumhe kuch ho jaata toh?"
(I was very sacred Ruhh. What if something had happened to you?)
Ruhanika,"Kuch nahi hua hai mujhe Shiv. Main bilkul thik hu. Aap sahi waqt pe aa gaye the. Sab thik hai Shiv, relax."
(Nothing has happened to me Shiv. I am perfectly okay. You came at the right time. Everything is okay Shiv, relax.)
Shivansh still kept his face buried in her neck and hummed softly, but made no movement.
Parinidhi and Rajveer soon entered the room.
Parinidhi,"Bhai, Bhabhi, khana aur Advik liye dudh."
(Bhai, Bhabhi, dinner and milk for Advik.)
Rajveer,"Aur yeh kapde aapke liye. Aapke room mein aaj nahi jaa sakte toh..."
(And these clothes are for you. We can't enter your room now so..)
Shivansh was still in the same position making no movement.
Ruhanika,"Thank you Pari, Bhai."
Rajveer,"Bhabhi kal subah aapke room se saara saman jo thik hai niklvake yaha shift karva dunga aur room k renovation k liye bhi bula lunga."
(Bhabhi, tomorrow morning we will get your stuff shifted to this room and I'll call for renovation as well.)
Ruhanika,"Thank you Bhai."
With that they both left.
Ruhanika,"Shiv, uthiye na. Khana kha lijiye."
(Shiv, get up. Have dinner.)
Shivansh sat up straight and took the plate from Ruhanika, made a morsel and forwarded it to her. Ruhanika took the bite.
While eating she picked up Advik in her lap and gave him the bottle of milk that Pari has sent.
Ruhanika's eyes brimed with tears which Shivansh noticed.
Shivansh "Kya hua Ruhh?"
(What happened Ruhh?)
Ruhanika,"Shiv, aaj mere bacche ko uski mumma k hote hue bhi bottle se dudh pina pad rha hai."
(Shiv, today my Babu has to have his milk from the bottle even when I am present.)
Shivansh understood what she was going through. The inability to feed their baby, to nourish him was killing her. Only a mother can understand this feeling. The few months old baby, who has only been breastfed till now has to have his milk from a bottle. Having his mother by his side yet she can't feed him.
Shivansh sensing her inner turmoil spoke up,"Ruhh, aise niraash mat ho tum. Yeh Advik ki safety k liye hi hai na. Aur kal toh is time tum ise feed kara sakogi."
(Ruhh, don't be disappointed. This is for his safety. And tomorrow at this time, you will be able to feed him.)
Ruhanika nodded hearing his reply and took the bite which Shivansh offered.
Advik is 10 months old.
Ruhanika and Advik were in the garden playing around. Parinidhi had gone to her maternal home with Kartik, and handling Advik while seeing Kartik go away was a task. Both of them were crying out loud, not willing to bid each other bye.
Advik was playing near Ruhanika, who was sitting on the grass. Soon, Shivansh's car came in the parking.
Advik seeing his Dad coming out of the car, tried to walk towards him. He had started walking a bit with support, but seeing his Papa, he tried to walk towards him. He waddled a but towards Shivansh but fell on the grass on his bum. Both Ruhanika and Shivansh chuckled seeing their little baby, trying to walk eagerly towards his father.
Shivansh came near him, and picked him up and kissed his cheeks. In return, Advik patted Shivansh's cheeks and spoke,"Pa....Pa...."
Ruhanika and Shivansh, both looked at each other, wide eyed. Their baby just spoke his first word.
Shivansh,"Mera bachha. Beta, Mumma bolo?!"
(My baby. Baby, say mumma?!"
Advik,"Papa......."
Ruhanika chuckled and spoke,"Jo uski mumma ne sikhaya hai wahi bolega woh."
(He will only speak what his mumma has taught.)
Shivansh,"Tumne sikhaya?"
(You taught?)
Ruhanika nodded.
Shivansh,"Ab main isko mumma bolna sikhaunga. Betu, mumma bola mumma."
(Now I will teach him to speak mumma. Baby, say mumma.)
Advik made grabby hands towards Ruhanika and spoke,"M.....Maa."
Shivansh handed Advik toh Ruhanika, kissed his cheek and affectionately spoke,"Mera Betu."
(My baby.)
Shivansh then went to freshen up and came to Ruhanika.
Shivansh,"Ruhh, coffee piogi?"
(Ruhh, will you have coffee?)
Ruhanika,"Main banane hi jaa rahi hu Shiv. Aap baithye."
(I was going to make it only Shiv. You sit.)
Shivansh,"Main bana deta hu."
(I'll make it.)
Ruhanika nodded and followed him to the kitchen.
Shivansh, while making the coffee spoke,"Waise sab bahaar gaye hai toh aaj sirf hum hi haina?"
(Btw, as everyone has gone out, it's just us right?)
Ruhanika,"Ji."
(Yes.)
Shivansh,"Chalo toh phir, aaj dinner main banata hu. Kya khayengi aap Rajkumariji?"
(Then I will make the dinner today. What would you like to eat Princess?)
Ruhanika giggled at his words and spoke,"Pav Bhaji khana pasand karenge hum, Hukum."
(I would like to have Pav Bhaji, My Lord.)
Shivansh pecked her lips and started making Pav Bhaji.
In this few years, he learnt cooking from Ruhanika and now he cooks for Ruhanika many times.
