Chapter 16 Collision
While Xu Muchi was on a business trip, I moved back to my own place.
The next day, I saw Liang Ye opening the door across the hall.
"Why are you here?"
I asked in shock.
He replied sourly.
"I've lived here over a month. You've been all lovey-dovey with that Brother Chi every day, never coming home. Of course you didn't notice a neighbor you've known for years moved in."
I felt guilty toward Liang Ye.
But things had already gone this far. I didn't know what to do.
I could only force out an apology.
"I'm sorry..."
Before I finished, Liang Ye exploded.
"You're apologizing to me because I like you?"
"Are you going to give me a 'good person' card next, Xiao Miao, you—"
"You're too much!"
He stormed off, looking ready to kill someone to vent.
Sigh. I seemed to have messed things up again.

I let out a relieved breath instantly.

Xu Nian was being pressured by her family to get married.
She asked me out to vent. We complained together. Then Xu Nian, like she'd drunk fake liquor, suggested I pretend to be her boyfriend to fend off her family's pressure.

My face flushed. "Don't talk nonsense. We already broke up."
I couldn't hold out.
In the end I softened and agreed.
For realism, she even dragged me to call her Wife several times.
As we walked out of the restaurant,
a couple nearby started fighting and broke up. The guy swung a huge plate. It flew straight at my forehead.
Perfect.
My thoughts were already spinning. Now it exploded into full-on drama.
