20. Begging Gets My Dick Hard
-Spade-
Pulling up to the start line, I take a deep breath. The look on her face was priceless. I hope it clicked in her coked-up brain that we have been fucking with her since she ordered her brothers to kill us. I still can’t get rid of the look in her eyes when she told them to light us up. The woman who stood in front of me, while I was chained to a fucking wall and poured salt on my soul, that wasn’t the Jade I fell so irrevocably in love with. That girl is gone; she died on that table. This girl I’ve been watching, is someone I fucking hate and despise, but can’t let go. Dario told me to wash my hands of her, he already has. Jameson is just biding his time. He’s been killing a lot lately, more than usual, and our dynamics are changing tremendously. I’m mad at my brothers if I’m being honest. In just this week alone, so much has happened on our end. I just can’t seem to get past her. I made Jameson put her tracker on my phone. I must know what she is doing at all hours of the day. It’s sick, I know, because how do I fucking hate a woman that I just want to fucking hold, touch, and kiss. I miss her to the point of wanting to fucking kill her. I shake my head and take another deep breath. Opening the driver’s side door I climb out and a sea of people immediately surround me. Usually, nights like this, I’m hyped the fuck up. I speak to everyone, and I want to party, but not tonight, not while she is here. I look over at her; tears stream down her face. My eyes connect with hers, but they look dull and void. Her eyes widen, and she spins through the crowd around us.
I move towards her; the crowd is making it hard for her to move as fast as she needs to, but they part for me. I’m a God out in these streets; this is my sanctuary; these are my people. She pauses, and I already know what she sees. Perfect. I’m so close to her I can hear her gasp. She spins again but this time, she collides with my chest. I wrap one arm around her waist, and I place my free hand around her throat. Her breathing picks up when she realizes it’s really me. She looks up at me with her soulless eyes. They are so dull and lifeless.
“What’s the matter, Babygirl? Surprised to see us?” I whisper, a breath away from her lips. Tears fall from her eyes, and I lick up her cheek. She tries to pull away, but I tighten my grip around her throat.
“It must suck to see someone you thought was dead, wrapped around another person, like you never fucking mattered.” I chuckle, licking the tears from her other cheek.
“Dario didn’t think twice about replacing you, as you can see.” I taunt her.
“Let’s go for a ride, it will be fun,” I whisper, licking the shell of her ear. She shakes her head and pulls away from me, but I wasn’t asking. My grip tightens, and I bring her lips to mine.
“That wasn’t me asking Babygirl, get in my fucking car. Now!” I let her go and push her towards the start line. She stumbles a bit, but rights herself quickly. She takes off again, but in three long strides I have her hair in my grip; but not before she has her knuckle knife pressed to my throat. I still hold her hair; the tighter I pull at her gorgeous locks, the deeper she digs the knife.
“Get off of me, you’re a ghost. Let me fucking go.” She says through gritted teeth.
“Do it, Babygirl. I fucking dare you, you fucking coward.” I push her off of me and she falls against the trunk of my car.
“Fuck you, Reid.” She spits.
“I bet that’s exactly what the fuck you want. Is your needy cunt wet for me?” I smile.
“You’re not real. What the fuck is happening?” She says, grabbing her head and pulling her hair. I take this distraction and grab her arm, open the passenger door, and throw her ass in the car. Shutting the door, I round the front, hop in the driver’s seat and engage the locks. Now she’s fucking stuck. Like a caged little bird. Fuck the race; it’s time to show her what it’s like to lose everything. I shift the car into drive and take off down the road, not caring how fast I’m going. It’s a straight run, until it’s not. I look at her and she’s panic-stricken. Oh, the little bird is trapped with nowhere to go. Revenge is sweet.
“Are you scared, Babygirl?” I chuckle.
“Spade, this isn’t real. You’re dead!” She screams. I shift down, pushing the car faster through the night.
“Oh, this is real little bird, let me enlighten you!” I quip, not slowing down.
“Please Spade, slow the fuck down,” she pleads with me, but I ignore her.
“Did you know your brothers saved us? They refused to listen to your orders, and they kept the three of us at Kayla’s loft. Oh, that’s right,” I laugh sinisterly.
“You didn’t even know your best friend has a loft where she makes all sorts of drugs and weapons, did you?”
“Wh-hat, that’s not true, you’re lying.” She stammers.
“The only liar here is you!” I yell, shifting the car again to go faster.
“Your so-called best friend brought you here for us. All those that you trusted are no longer trustworthy, no one cares about you; no one loves a broken bitch.” I smirk.
“I’m sorry, Spade. I’m fucking sorry!” She screams.
“Sorry? You’re fucking sorry? You wanted me dead! You said you didn’t love me. Do you know how that made me feel, Jade? How much the salt seeped into my bones and reached the depths of my soul? You fucked up!”
“I didn’t fucking mean it, I was angry, hurt. I was just fucking raped and none of you would give me the time to fucking process shit. You three kept pushing and pushing! What did you expect to fucking happen?”
“I see me holding a fucking gun to my head did nothing for you. So let’s chain me up and torture me, then rip out my fucking soul. Did you know you were all I thought about, I just wanted to survive to get to you, to hold you in my arms, and tell you everything was going to be okay. I even went to the cemetery to talk to Amelia. I leave there, only to get jumped by your fucking club, and you have the audacity to sit there and blame us, blame me? That’s not how this fucking works!” I yell, shifting again and pushing the car to its limits.
“I’m so fucking sorry. How can I make this right? Please, I’m begging you. I’m a fucking mess. I regret what I fucking did, I deserve your wrath, but please don’t hate me, I need you. What do you want from me?” She pleads, pulling at my shirt.
“It’s too late. I fucking hate you. I fucking hate you so much it kills me to even look at you. You’re not the same person I fell in love with. I don’t know who the fuck you are anymore.” I snap as tears flow down her face.
“Please Spade, don’t say that; don’t do this. Please, I beg you. I love you. I fucking love you, Spade. Please! Please, what do you want? I’ll give you anything.” She screams at me, begging for forgiveness.
“I don’t think there is any coming back from this. You can’t make it right. The woman I love isn’t you. She died on that table. And you, you need to die too,” I sneer, increasing my speed as we get to the turn by the cliffs.
“Spade, please, slow down. Let’s go somewhere quiet and talk. Please. I need you to slow the fuck down, you’re going to kill us both!” she yells, hitting my shoulders.
“That’s what we need! Death and destruction! I need you to bleed, the same way I bled for you. Does this scare you, Babygirl? Or better yet, Blood Queen.” I snarl at her, making her gasp.
“Don’t fucking call me that,” she cries.
“But that’s what you are! The fucking Blood Queen, his Blood Queen! Maybe if I kill us both, things will be better. There will be no more suffering, no more pain, just bliss,” I say, downshifting as we come to the first turn. I drift at high speeds, the back-end skidding along the concrete; she screams, and I just laugh.
“What do I need to do to prove to you that I love you? That I’m sorry? Please Spade, don’t leave me. Just give me one night with you; if we can’t find our love one last time, then I’ll walk away.” She pleads.
“You think your tight cunt is made of gold? Guess what, I’ve had tighter,” I grin.
“You don’t mean that, just fucking stop. Slow the fuck down. Please just stop the fucking car.”
“No, I don’t think I will. Are you ready to die, Blood Queen? Because I’m ready to cash in. You’re worth 2.5 million dollars. That’s the bounty on your pretty little head! I could make some serious bank.” I chuckle.
“Spade, please just stop. Please, I’m begging you to stop the fucking car now!” She screams.
“I’m sorry, but I can’t do that,” I breathe. I reach over, tuck a loose strand of hair behind her ear, and cup her cheek; she leans into my touch. This is the end of it all. I look at her, approaching the next turn, and our eyes connect.
“Ashes, ashes, we all fall down.”
