Harper was still stunned as she gazed at the marriage certificate in her hands. She had gotten married but not in a way she had expected. Harrison came out and Harper turned to look at him "Thank you so much" Harrison simply looked at her and didn't respond.
Naturally he would never have married Harper,but he felt a twinge of pity for her when she mentioned her dying mother. "Where do you live? I'll take you there?" "No, there's no need. You still have to work at the company and I don't want to bother you". Harper turned to leave when Harrison suddenly grabbed her by the arm. She turned to look at him with confusion evident in her eyes as he stretched out his large palm towards her "Phone" "Uh?" "I said you should give me your phone" "Oh. Sure,here it is"
Harper rummaged through her bag for a few seconds before handing her phone to Harrison. She watched as he saved a number on it and was just about to ask what he was doing when he handed the phone back to her "That's my number. Call me when you need help okay?" "I will. Thank you"
Harrison watched as Harper left before dialing a number "Clyde, I need you to transfer $1,000,000 to the central hospital in name of Harper Carson" "Okay sir" "Hurry up, can't keep my mother-in-law waiting" "Yes s- Mother-in-law?! When did-" "It's none of your business also I need all the info on Harper Carson. If you don't carry out my orders I'll fire you" "Yes sir!". He hung up and walked towards the direction of the company. He never had plans of getting married but now he was and he had a huge responsibility to carry as Harper's husband.
A few minutes later, Harper arrived at the door of the family mansion. It was opened by the housekeeper who led her towards the living room where Catherine and Chloe were chatting with smiles on their faces. But their smile faded quickly upon seeing Harper. Catherine looked at her with a fake smile as she asked "How was it dear?" "I'm married to Harrison Whitney now" "What?!"
