Chapter 14
Harrison finished his shower and got out of the bathroom only to be met with darkness. He turned on the light and furrowed his brow. The arrangements Harper had made were all gone; even the clothes he had bought for her were now placed at the door.
He knew that she had heard what he said,but he had no intentions of apologizing. He had never wanted to marry anyway,he only married her to help her save her mother.
"Harper,are you sleeping?" Harper wasn't sleeping of course, but she pretended to. Harrison's fingers clenched into a fist with force. No one had ever dared to treat him like this. Just now, he was scolded by his grandmother, and he was already feeling annoyed. Now, his wife was treating him with such an attitude as soon as he walked in the door!
If it weren't for the fact that she was a woman, he would have punched her directly. His eyes turned icy, "You give me..."
Before he could finish his sentence, his phone suddenly rang.
Harrison's eyes turned even colder, and he reluctantly suppressed his anger, picking up the phone without looking at it even looking at it, "What's the matter, Grandma..."
"Harrison, it's me. You're still not asleep, can you come pick me up?" Chloe's voice came through the phone, dragging out her words in a coquettish tone, "I got drunk with my friends at the bar, and now I'm dizzy and can't walk."
Harrison paused for a second and hung up the phone.
But as soon as he hung up, his phone rang again, the ringtone was so piercing that it sounded like it would never stop until dawn if he didn't answer it.
"What is it now-" "Harrison,I feel so uncomfortable. There's a problem with the company and dad keeps blaming me" Harrison simply listened without saying a word. In fact,he was responsible for what happened. He figured out that it was Chloe who had set Harper up so he decided to give her a lesson. No one dared to bully his woman!
