Harper lifted her head and saw Catherine and Chloe who were surrounded by a small crowd. "What are you doing here Harper?" She simply ignored Chloe and looked at Catherine "Where's dad? I have something I want to say to him" "Sorry but he's not here so you should scurry along back to your bar. Don't want to keep customers waiting, do you?"
Catherine's words caused a stir among the crowd "Isn't that Miss Carson?" "Why is she working at a bar?" "I heard she and her mom got kicked out of the house" "Poor thing". Chloe looked at Harper smugly and Harper clenched her fist. "You really shouldn't try getting a job at Carson Group because— you're just not worthy!" "I-"
Just then an assistant came rushing in and whispered something into Chloe's ear. "What? Are you sure you're telling me the truth?" "Yes Miss,she finally agreed to sign the contract"
"What's wrong dear?" "Miss Miller actually agreed to sign the contract!" "Really? That's good news!" "I know right? I'm going to go meet dad and tell him right now!" "Um,Miss-" Just then William showed up from behind with a few bodyguards accompanying him; including Harrison.
Harper looked at him but he simply looked ahead coldly. She didn't mind though,she could always talk to him back at home.
Chloe ran towards William with a smile "Dad, guess what?" "What is it now-" "Miss Miller actually agreed to sign the contract!" "What?" "Is that true?" "Yes, the assistant told me just now" "Um Miss, there's something I haven't told you yet" "What is it?" "Miss Miller said she doesn't want to sign the contract with you but with...Miss Carson" "What did you just say?!"
