Harper looked at Ivy who was standing next to Harrison and was speechless. She clamped her hand over her mouth with tears streaming down her cheeks. Harrison noticed this and went to hold her hand "Harper I-" "Were you sleeping with her here last night? Is she the reason you told me that you were busy?!" Harrison furrowed his brows upon hearing his wife's question. He had actually been in a transnational meeting throughout the night and he hadn't slept a wink.
But what was Harper doing here? That's when he noticed the file she was holding with the corner of his eye. Was she trying to...
"Harper I-" "Enough!" "Listen this isn't what it looks like, Ivy only-" "I said that's enough. I don't want to hear anything from you" Harper turned to leave but Harrison grabbed her by the arm. She forcefully pulled her arm out of his hold and raised it high.
'Smack!' A few bodyguards came into the room and were stunned by what they just saw. The CEO had been slapped by a woman? It's over! The CEO was known for his strong personality in the company. No one had dared to cross him, talkless of slapping him. Even if it was the madam,she was most definitely asking for trouble.
A burst of killing intent emanated from Harrison. How dare she slap him in front of his subordinates?! "Harper even if it's an argument between husband and wife, shouldn't there be a limit to it?" "Who said we're husband and wife? We've never even kissed much less slept with each other!" This time the bodyguards were beyond speechless. The CEO had only got married but never even got a chance to kiss or sleep with his wife? He was quite pitiful!
Harper straightened her clothes and was about leaving when she turned around "Miss Miller" "Harper I-" "It's fine,I have nothing to say. I just hope you find happiness with Harrison. You don't need to worry about being labelled as the third party, I'll divorce him soon" "Harper!" Harper didn't even look at her husband,she simply left the room. Harrison's bodyguards wanted to stop her,but a simple gesture from their boss made them stop in their tracks. "You may leave" "But boss the madam-" "I said you may leave. And make sure you follow her,she mustn't get harmed." "Yes sir". The bodyguards bowed and left, leaving Harrison alone with Ivy in the room. "What are we going to do now? Harper thinks you cheated on her" "It's fine. I'll settle the matter myself"
Harper looked up at her reflection in the mirror and gave a bitter smile. "Seems like you're not destined to have someone who loves you anymore Harper" She looked at the document that was in front of her, wanting to throw it away. But she changed her mind. "It's fine if he doesn't want me anymore but I can't leave just like that,I have to save him. I'll consider this as repaying him for what he did for me"
Harper walked out of a corner in the lobby but she accidentally bumped into someone "Sorry" "It's fine" Harper looked up at the man in front of her and she was stunned. How could this be?!
