Kevin moved closer to Harrison with a sly smile "Do you actually beat sister-in-law at home?" "What do you think?" He had never shown a bad attitude towards Harper,she had been the one doing so. She even slapped him in front of his bodyguards, demanding for a divorce! If it weren't for today,he wouldn't even know what his wife thought of him!
Outside the study, Harper nervously fidgeted with her fingers. She had deliberately portrayed Harrison as a wicked person to make the CEO back off. After all, one of the things rich people feared most was death right?
The secretary came out with two bodyguards behind her. One was holding a small silver tray with a check of $10,000,000 and the other held up a dress that was still on its hanger. "What's this?" "The CEO says he wants to apologize for his behavior towards you earlier. He hopes you can accept his apologies,.he also wants you to pick any of these as a gift" "What about the contract?" "There's no need to worry Miss. The CEO will definitely not break his promise. So will you pick one of these please?"
Harper hesitated for a moment before choosing the dress. The other party was someone very important,and it would be rude of her to not accept his gift. It was a small black limited edition dress. Several prestigious ladies in Aurora City wanted to get their hands on the dress but they couldn't. The CEO of Whitney Corp was the richest in the country, so it was nothing to him.
"Would you mind changing into the dress? The CEO thinks the uniform on you doesn't fit you well" A faint blush formed on Harper's cheeks as she took the dress, going into the changing room.
Soon she emerged wearing the camelia dress which surprisingly fit her well. She looked really stunning in it. Harper touched the dress while looking at herself in the mirror and she couldn't help wondering how the CEO knew her size. "I'll be leaving now" "Have a nice day Miss Carson" Harper was about to open the door but she turned to look at the secretary and whispered "Please tell your CEO I said thank you,I really like the dress" "Sure thing Miss"
Harper gave a soft smile and left the study quickly,she wouldn't want the CEO to change his mind. Harrison kept his gaze fixed on the screen, watching his wife as she left. The dress really looked good on her, especially her small waist. He just wanted to pull her close and shower her with love.
Kevin saw the look on his friend's face and shook his head "Your wife is crazy. Why did she take the dress? Any normal lady would pick the check and buy tons of dresses with it!" "It just goes to show that I have a good wife"
"Who knew the young master of the Whitney family could be so romantic?" "There's nothing wrong with getting my wife a dress. If you have the ability, go do so yourself" Kevin's smile froze on his face. This guy was really something, always using his wife to show off! Well then, Harrison isn't the only one with something against him,he had something against Harrison as well! "Well you may have gotten your wife a new dress but she doesn't know it's you. And, isn't she planning to divorce you?"
Harrison's gaze suddenly darkened. This spoilt brat was actually right! Here he was thinking of Harper and she was probably planning on divorcing him! He had to find a way to stop her,he couldn't lose his wife like that! Besides if they divorce, wouldn't all his subordinates know why? He wasn't going to let such a small thing ruin his reputation!
Harrison stood up immediately and walked out of the room "Where are you going?" "I won't be coming back, don't wait for me". "Harrison in love is so cute, don't you think so?" Clyde who had been standing there the whole time smiled "Indeed,the CEO in love is quite cute"
