"Harper, Harper wait!" Harper stopped walking and she crossed her arms over her chest with a raised brow as she looked at the person who had been following her since lunch break "What is it now Harrison?" "I have something I need to tell you!" "Didn't you hear what I said yesterday? I said I don't want to hear any explanation from you. Or are you so desperate to get a divorce?" "Harper I-" "If that's what the whole issue 's about, there's no need to worry. I'll send the divorce papers to you soon" "Don't you remember what happened last night?" Harper paused,she was really drunk last night and couldn't remember anything that happened, only a few bits and pieces. She wasn't going to acknowledge that fact of course. "I don't remember. What? Did something important happen that I didn't know about?" "Not really-" "Well then I'll be leaving now"
"You said you loved me" "Is that so?" "Are you going to pretend like you don't remember saying that to me last night?" "No, I don't" "But you-" "Even if I did, I'm not crazy enough to try and hold on to someone who has no feelings for me. They say if you truly love someone, you'd want nothing else but for the person you love to be happy. It's already quite obvious that your happiness doesn't lie with me,it lies with someone else. I'm not even sure if it's Miss Miller but it doesn't matter. I'm willing to let you go Harrison, so you should do the same"
Harper turned to leave with tears in her eyes and Harrison reached out his hand, trying to grab hold of her but she was already gone. Harrison slowly clenched his fists but he didn't leave or even go after Harper,he simply stared at her back as she left with longing clear in his eyes.
It had only been a few months,but he slowly found himself falling for Harper. He had wanted to divorce her before but now...he just wanted to get his wife back. Harrison brought out his phone to make a call as he left,but he didn't notice Chloe who had been looking at them for a while with a smirk. Harper actually wanted to divorce Harrison? This was perfect! "Miss, the two of them seem to be having an argument, do we still need to-" "Of course we do! I can only have Harrison all to myself if plan B works out!"
Harper stared at her phone as it rang for the umpteenth time without answering the call. Her phone soon dinged with a text but she simply ignored it as well "Does this guy not understand what it means to stay away from someone?!" Just then she felt someone's presence behind her and turned around only to lose consciousness.
Harper woke up a few minutes later and saw someone looming over her. She squinted her eyes and finally saw the figure clearly, causing her to be at loss for words "Why- how are you here?!"
