Chapter 39

Harper looked at the dean who was looming over her with shock. Wasn't he supposed to be in jail? How did he get released? Most importantly, how did he get to know where she worked? Had he been following her all this while?

"What is it? Surprised to see me?" "Aren't you supposed to be in jail? How did you-" "Not telling, all you need to know is that I came here for you!" "B-but what do you want from me?" "Are you seriously asking me?!"

The dean slapped Harper so hard that her head tilted to one side, with blood coming out from a side of her mouth. Martin held her up by the collar with terribly bloodshot eyes "You caused me to lose my high paying job and sent me to jail. My wife left me taking my kids with her! You ruined my life and you're here asking me why I came looking for you?!" "B-but I didn't do anything!" "Shut up!"

Martin slapped Harper again before standing up and dragging her on the floor. The floor was that of an abandoned warehouse and there were several broken pieces of glass scattered all over the place. They kept tearing at Harper's skin causing her a lot of pain as her blood kept dripping on the floor and mixed up with the sand. It was quite a gruesome sight, and almost no one could stand seeing such a bloody scene "Let me go! Please let me go!"

"Boss, boss!" "What is it? Did you find her?" "No sir,but we found her phone". It had been three hours since the company had closed for the day,but Harrison hadn't seen Harper since he last saw her during lunch break. He called Bethany who said she hadn't seen her since she left for work, and Tina who said she hadn't seen her last night.

He had even gone as far as asking Lily but she also said she hadn't seen her since they left work. He couldn't help but get extremely worried. Where could she have gotten to? Harrison held out his hand and Clyde placed Harper's phone in his hand. Harrison stared at the phone as he was lost in thought. Harper was no where to be found but her phone and bag were found lying in an alley close to the company. Could she have been kidnapped?!

Harrison raised his head at that moment and his gaze happened to fall on a nearby surveillance camera. That's when he suddenly had an idea and he turned to look at his assistant "Clyde,I want you to call Kevin right now. Tell him I have something important for him to do"

Harper opened her eyes again and this time she found herself tied up to a bed. The location hadn't changed though, she was still in the abandoned warehouse. She weakly lifted her head and saw the hospital dean setting up something that looked like a.. camera?! What was he trying to do?! That's when Harper noticed that almost all her clothes had been taken off,and she was left in only her underwear! No way,was the dean actually going to...

"You're up? Took you long enough" "W-what are you doing?" "What does it look like? I'm here to continue what I wasn't able to do back then but what do you say we take things up a notch?" "Wha-what do you mean?" "You're married right? What do you say we take a little video and send it to him uh? It'll be fun" "No,no,no please don't do this to me!"

Harper was planning to divorce Harrison even though she still had lingering feelings for him. She definitely didn't want to end their marriage on such a note! The dean didn't listen to her and stepped closer instead. He was about to touch her when a black car suddenly came crashing in through the door of the warehouse!

Harper lifted her head and saw a tall figure in black walking towards her. The figure finally got to where she was and tears formed in Harper's eyes as soon as she saw him "H-Harrison" "It's okay, I'm here" Harrison looked at the several wounds on Harper's body with heartache as he slowly draped his jacket over her. "Where is that man? I want you to bring him here now!" How dare he do such a thing to his wife?!

Martin came out of a corner holding a knife in his hand and he rushed towards Harper who was now lying in Harrison's arms. Harrison saw him coming towards Harper and he turned around! "Harrison!" "Boss!"
