Chapter 41

Harper slowly lifted her head and her watery hazel eyes came in contact with Harrison's silver ones. "Ha-Harrison" "It's okay baby, there's no need to cry" Harrison weakly lifted his hand in an attempt to wipe her tears but she stopped him "I'm the reason you ended up in a coma and here you are trying to wipe my tears. Harrison, are you crazy?" Upon being reprimanded by his wife Harrison didn't frown he smiled instead— it was a smile full of tenderness. "Yes,I am crazy. Crazy in love with you" "You-"

Harrison's smile left Harper stunned. Damn! Her husband was really handsome,he should definitely smile more often. Hold up, did Harrison just say he's in love with her?! No way! She was probably hearing things. "D-did you just say y-you- love me?" "I guess I just did" "Y-you're kidding, right?" "Of course not. Harper,do you really think I'd joke in situations like these?" Harrison's serious gaze and the look in her eyes made Harper feel emotional. "Y-you-"

Harrison smiled and stretched his arms out "Come here love". Harper stood up from the chair and threw herself into his waiting arms, hugging him tightly. She planted kisses everywhere she could reach while telling him how much she loved him, making Harrison's laugh echo in the room.

Harper suddenly paused for a moment. What was she doing? She actually jumped on a man who just recently got stabbed? Was she crazy?! "What is it?" "You're still injured and I-" "It's fine love" "You think it's fine,I think it's not! You're not healed properly yet!" "I'm fine" "Says the person who just woke up from a coma!" "I promise I'm really fine" "But you-"

Harper was interrupted by a knock on the door "Who is it?" The door was opened and Ivy stepped in "Hey" "Miss Miller" "I heard you two got injured, how are you?" "We're fine but what are you doing here?" Harper was about to get down from the bed but Ivy stopped her "No,no there's no way. I just came to clarify some misunderstandings" "Oh well you don't need to-" "No please I have to do this. Harrison was very troubled since you left that day. I also felt a bit guilty since it was partly my fault" "Oh okay?"

Ivy soon left and Harper turned to look at Harrison. "Why didn't you tell me that Ivy's your childhood friend?" Turns out that Ivy and Harrison had been friends since childhood. She was at the hotel to rest after a shoot, while Harrison was there on a business trip.

Ivy had a problem with her bathtub and she was about to call a plumber when she bumped into Harrison, and she asked him to help her fix it instead. His clothes had gotten wet when he was done though,so Ivy had given him the bathrobe she found in the hotel room. He changed and came out, and that was when Harper came in.

Harrison didn't reply but kept looking around until his gaze landed on Harper's feet. He saw that there weren't any other slippers apart from his and he looked at Harper again "You came here barefoot?!" "I was worried about you so I- Hold up, don't try to change the topic! Why didn't you tell me that Ivy's your childhood friend?" "I didn't want you to think I told her to sign the contract" "True, but still, you could have-" Another knock interrupted Harper yet again and Kevin was the one who came in this time "Sorry to interrupt your lovey-dovey time but.. there's someone who wants to see you" "Who is it?" Another person came inside causing Harrison to sit up almost instantly "Grandma?"
