Harrison guided Ruby to sit back down and he handed her a glass of water. "Take it easy okay? Everything I said right now is true" Ruby placed the glass on a table and turned to look at her brother "Does that mean you're the CEO of Whitney Corp?" "Yes" "Does Harper know about this?" "No" Harrison rubbed his temples with a headache.
"Big brother,I can tell Harper's not with you for your money. You should try telling her, she'll understand"
"She won't, because I have a fiancee back in Willowbrook" "How could you be so devious?" Harrison choked up and looked up to see Ruby glancing at him in disdain "Relax, I'm not two-timing anyone. I haven't even seen this fiancee. That's why I want you to go to Willowbrook and convince grandfather to let me be with Harper" "I've been away from the family for so long. I don't think I can help" "It's fine. Grandfather's been blaming himself for what happened to you all those years ago,he cares about you a lot"
Out of all his grandchildren, Alfred loved Ruby and Harrison the most. He was even the one who named them both on the day they were born. When Ruby disappeared,Alfred was devastated to the point where he had a severe heart attack and had to receive treatment in another country for many years. If Ruby came back, there was a chance that Alfred would heed her request and let Harrison be with Harper.
Harper looked at the two siblings who were acting a bit strangely. What was going on? "What is it with you two?" Ruby gave a soft smile "Nothing's wrong, we're just trying to warm up to each other" "Oh you don't need to worry sis, Harrison's actually a very good person. He even helps me with the chores at home, and he cooks really well. I'll ask him to cook for you one of these days" "Harper!" Ruby looked at her big brother in shock. The prestigious CEO of Whitney Corp actually cooks at home? That's quite interesting "Brother,are you actually a househusband?" "No way" Harrison replied coldly. He only does those things in front of Harper.
A few days later, Harper showed up at work bright and early. Her friend Lily came up and hugged her "Hey Harper, it's good to see you. Wait what's wrong with your face? Why is it all red?" Lily's words made Harper remember what had happened a few hours ago. Harrison had told her that he was going to Willowbrook with Ruby,so she could associate herself with the family. "How long will you be gone?" "Only for a few days,why? Will you miss me?" "Of course I will!" "Oh really~"
The way Harrison drawed out the last word and the mischievous look in his eyes made her wonder. What was this man up to now? That's when he suddenly lifted her and placed her on the table in the dining room, pining her down with his two arms on either side of her petite body. "W-what are you doing?" Harrison simply moved closer, so close that their noses were almost touching "You said you'll miss me,so I want to give you something to remember me by" "A-and what would that--" Harper's question was cut off by Harrison's lips on hers...
"Harper!" Harper was taken back from her reverie when Lily shook her "I asked you something, what's happened to your face?" "Well I- it's nothing!" "Oh,then why's your neck red as well?" Harper pulled up the collar of the dress she was wearing. Harrison had pinned her down and kissed her for a whole hour, leaving kiss marks on almost every part of her body, especially around her neck. She even had to change the dress she was planning to wear before. Lily saw her friend's attempt to cover up her neck and wiggled her eyebrows suggestively. "Ooh, did something exciting happen this morning before you came to work?" "Lily!" How was it that Lily and Tina were so similar? They were both extremely dirty minded! "Ok, ok I'll stop talking. But seriously you are very--"
Lily's words were cut off by the sound of high heels clicking against the floor. The two friends turned their heads and what they saw almost left them petrified "Lauren Spencer?!"
