Remember that ceremony they wanted to hold for Lauren? The one that happened just a few hours ago?" "Yeah. What happened?" Harrison was actually there so he knows very well what had occured. He had to pretend to be oblivious of course, otherwise his little wife would catch on to something. He secretly sighed in his heart. He really needed to tell Harper about his identity soon. He knows his wife well,if she found out from someone else,she would probably never forgive him
"Harrison? Harrison!" "What's the matter love?" "You seemed lost in thought,is everything okay?" "Everything's fine" "You sure?" "Hmm. Now tell me, what happened at the ceremony?" "Oh yeah about that... Turns out Lauren was actually a fake!" "Really?" "Yeah! The real heiress of the Whitney family showed up halfway through the ceremony and William was so embarrassed. The CEO of Whitney Corp was there, and he left in anger, saying he would never have anything to do with the Carson family anymore" "That's quite shocking" "I know right? After the whole thing happened, Catherine ordered the bodyguards to strip Lauren of all the clothes she'd gotten for her. I wouldn't really blame her though, her family was embarrassed in front of the whole city and her plans of getting Chloe out of jail have been foiled. But let's forget about all that. I feel something strange is going on" "And what could that be?" "Don't you think what happened to Lauren is weird?" "Uh?" "You know, first the rumors about her being the Whitney family heiress just came out of nowhere. And the real heiress suddenly shows up some time after. It all seems like a well thought out plan"
Harrison paused for a moment and looked at his little wife. She had become quite clever. What she said was right, everything that happened to Lauren was a plan; and he was the mastermind.
If William and Catherine got to find out about Ruby's true identity, they would want to milk her dry in the name of her paying them back for taking care of her for all these past years.
He thought about it for a while. If he was going to protect his little sister,he was going to need to switch her with someone else. As luck would have it, Lauren came from the same orphanage as Ruby. So he had Clyde spread the rumor about the his little sister coming from that orphanage, and everything else fell in place. He also had Ruby appear on purpose, so as to crush the Carson family. Those people had made the two ladies he loved the most to suffer and he was going to make sure they suffer ten times as much!
The next day;
"Harrison, Harrison!" Harrison looked at his wife with a furrowed brow. What was wrong with her,she seemed scared, almost as if she had seen a ghost. He went up to her and held her by the shoulders. "What happened love?" "Chloe--" "What about Chloe?" "S-sh-she's escaped from jail!" "What?!" Harrison was stunned by what Harper just said. How could Chloe have escaped from jail? He was the one who made her go in there himself and there was absolutely no one who could help her get out.
Wait a minute,what if it was... No way!
Harrison snapped out of his reverie when he heard his wife sniffle "Love, what's wrong?" "What if-- what if Chloe's coming for me?" "She won't,I promise" Harrison pulled the little lady into his arms as he gently patted her on the back. Chloe may have gotten out of jail, but he was going to make sure she doesn't get to lay a finger on his woman!
