Chapter 9
“MMM, THAT FEELS GOOD,” Riley murmured as the friction against his hard cock moved tantalizingly against him. “Yeah, like that.”
It had been a while since one of his dates had wanted to spend the night, most of them running for the hills when they got the chance. He was lucky this time.
Wait.
He was in the Poconos with his friends.
He was sharing a bed with Josh.
Josh.
Riley’s eyes flew open. It took him a moment to make sense of everything.
He was still lying on top of Josh, but the man under him rolled his hips against Riley’s, hardness rubbing against hardness, Josh’s eyes still closed as his hands roamed around his back until they settled on his ass and gripped him tightly, pulling him against his hard body.
Holy fuck, why does this feel so good?
No. This wasn’t right. Josh was still asleep and likely thinking he held a woman against him.
“Josh,” Riley whispered, trying to wake him. “Josh, wake up, you’re dreaming.”
At least this dream was better than the nightmare that had awoken him in the middle of the night. It broke Riley’s heart that Josh was still tortured by that day.
Riley tried to pull away, but Josh only held him tighter.
“You feel so damn good,” he said, as he continued to move against Riley.
“Josh,” he said louder, and Josh’s eyes flew open.
Instead of the horror Riley expected to see on his face, Josh smiled and continued moving against him.
“I’m almost there,” he said, his breath stuttering. “Please, Riley. You feel so good.”
Riley was incapable of denying Josh anything, and it made it even harder—pun intended—to deny him when he was just as close.
“I need… I need…” Josh croaked.
“Tell me what you need,” Riley said as he moved against him, their hard cocks pressed between them, his forehead against Josh’s temple.
“Kiss me, please,” he begged.
Why not? It's not like we didn't have the hottest kiss of my life last night.
Josh turned his head until they were face to face, and Riley brought their lips together. When Josh’s lips parted, Riley slid his tongue into the gap, eliciting a groan from Josh as their tongues tangled, their kiss deepening as they moved against each other.
Riley moaned as he and Josh moved as one, like they were made for each other. They knew each other so well that it wasn’t a surprise they understood each other’s bodies too. It was a surprise how amazing it felt.
“Fuck, Ri, you feel so good,” Josh said between kisses as they both chased their release. They were both wearing underwear, giving their movement a delicious burn that made Riley want to fall apart all over him.
“I’m so close,” Riley panted between kisses.
“Me too,” Josh said, his hands still gripping Riley’s ass possessively as he pulled him against him. “Fuck, I’m gonna come, Ri. Make me come.”
Riley moved one of his arms out from underneath Josh’s shoulder, down to the hem of his shirt, and slipped it under the fabric until he reached hot skin.
He slid his hand until he found one of Josh’s pert nipples, squeezing the bud until he swallowed Josh’s moans and warmth bloomed between their stomachs.
He’d never heard anything so beautiful. His own orgasm slammed into him, his come soaking his underwear. It was the hardest he’d ever come in his life.
They continued to move slowly against each other until they came down from the high, Riley resting his forehead against Josh’s.
“Holy shit,” he said, meeting Josh’s eyes and seeing pure bliss on his face.
“Why haven’t we tried that before?” he asked, and Riley blinked at him, trying to think of the easiest answer.
“Maybe because we’re straight?” Riley suggested, causing Josh’s brows to furrow in confusion.
“I don’t think we are anymore, or can I still be straight if I had the best orgasm of my life with a man?”
Riley’s eyes widened. “Best of your life?” he asked in a small voice.
Hadn’t he been thinking the same thing? How could they go thirty years and not have figured something like that out?
Riley sat up so he straddled Josh’s waist, suddenly aware of the mess in his underwear.
“I mean… Well… Yeah. I don’t remember the last time I came so hard,” Josh said dreamily, but then his eyes narrowed again and he began shifting uncomfortably, likely feeling his own mess cooling in his underwear.
“I think we should clean up and then go ask Cole if he thinks this means we’re not straight anymore. He’s bi, so he would know, right?”
It was official. Riley’s world had completely turned upside down.
“Okay, yes to cleaning this mess, but no to running to Cole for answers,” Riley said, climbing off of Josh and sitting cross legged on the bed.
“We aren’t going to tell anyone about this until we think about it on our own for a bit, and also, the sun is barely up so it’s unlikely he’s even awake.
And remember, I don’t think Hailey and Abby know about him, so try not to blurt it out to everyone. ”
Riley could see the wheels in Josh’s head turning as he thought everything through.
“All right, I won’t say anything in front of Abby or Hailey,” he said. He rolled off the bed and ambled over to his duffel to dig for new clothes.
Riley couldn’t help but notice new things about Josh as he stripped right where he stood with his back to Riley.
Well, that wasn’t completely accurate. He had always been aware of Josh’s perfect physique: his nearly hairless body, his chiseled abs, his voluptuous ass. He’d even seen his heavy dick on occasion.
For the first time, he noticed how Josh's muscles flexed as he moved around the room. He remembered the way his eyes widened as he came, the relentless grip he'd had on Riley's ass as he neared his climax. That grip was so possessive, like Josh was staking his claim on Riley.
The question was, why did it feel so right? Why did Josh’s hands feel better on him than any woman’s ever had?
Was it because they were closer than typical best friends? Or because they understood each other better than anyone?
They’d always had a tactile relationship, rarely keeping their hands to themselves. But it had never been more than friendly touches. Even their playful wrestling was about them goofing around and letting out some excess energy.
Riley was frozen in the spot on the bed where Josh had left him, watching him clean away the evidence of their tryst and changing his clothes as if it were nothing new.
Josh was taking this much better than him. It was no secret that Josh wasn’t the brightest bulb in the box. Did that make all of this easier for him to accept? Was Riley overthinking everything?
He couldn’t help but fall into a spiral of questioning thoughts.
Was this why he’d had such bad luck with women?
Was this why he’d never warmed up to anyone Josh had ever brought home?
After all this time, had he missed the flashing signs that maybe he wasn’t so straight after all?
He startled when he felt a hand on his shoulder and noticed Josh holding out some clean clothes for him.
“Here’s a change of clothes for you. I haven’t come in my underwear like that since I was a teenager. You must be uncomfortable. I’m gonna go start breakfast for everyone while you get changed.”
Josh gave his shoulder a squeeze and left the room.
Nobody took care of him like Josh did.
Nobody knew him like Josh did.
And now, no one had ever made him come like Josh did.
Fuck. That's going to make the rest of this trip interesting.

The scent of bacon lured Riley downstairs to find Josh preparing a breakfast feast for everyone in the house.
“You brought a waffle maker?”
Josh turned from the stove with a wide smile on his face, full of delight. “Nah, I found it in one of the cabinets. This is the best house ever! We should come again every year.”
It was so easy to make Josh happy. He truly appreciated the simple things better than anyone else.
Riley jumped in to help scramble eggs and mix batter for the waffles. Later, Elena and Cole stumbled into the kitchen, Elena grabbing a stool and Cole cozying up behind her.
“Damn, something smells so freaking good,” Cole said blissfully. He grabbed a can of whipped cream and spritzed some on Elena’s neck before licking it away. “Never mind, it’s just my girlfriend, like usual.”
“Cole, it’s way too early for your antics,” she said, shivering at his touch. “Don’t you have an off button?”
He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her against his chest, speaking softly against her ear but loud enough for Riley and Josh to hear. “You know exactly where all my buttons are, Bubbles.”
She giggled and pushed him away, then reached for a mug and the carafe of coffee in front of her.
“Thanks for starting breakfast, you guys,” she said as she prepared her drink with some cream and sugar. “You ran away early last night, so we were worried you weren’t feeling well.”
“We’re all good,” Riley said, feeling the heat in his cheeks.
Cole stole the mug from Elena, because apparently he had a death wish, and took a fortifying sip as Josh threw a wrench in their morning.
“Actually, we hooked up this morning and we're wondering if that means we’re gay. Cole, how do you figure out how gay you are?”
To no one’s surprise, Cole sprayed his sip of coffee all over Elena, who stared at the ceiling and counted to ten. Something she did often around Cole.
“I’m sorry, you guys hooked up? What exactly do you mean by ‘hooked up?’” Cole asked as he grabbed paper towels and began trying to clean his fuming, coffee-stained girlfriend.
“Josh—” Riley started.
“You said not to blurt it out in front of Abby and Hailey, but it’s Cole and Elena, and they both know he’s bi!” Josh said, and Riley let out a long breath.
“It’s… It was… It’s not…” he struggled.
“Sounds like it was pretty good,” Cole said unhelpfully, and Riley’s face had to be as red as a tomato.
“It felt great! Best orgasm ever,” Josh shouted, causing Elena to choke on the coffee she finally got to taste. She was going to kill one of them.
Riley rushed to fix a plate of scrambled eggs, bacon and toast, and placed it in front of Elena with an apologetic look on his face. She gave him a sympathetic smile in return once she got control of her breathing.
“Okaaaay, well, let’s start with your question,” Cole said, making himself a plate of breakfast food once he finished fussing over Elena.
“No one can tell you how gay you are except yourself. It’s kind of a spectrum or a scale.
Few people are one hundred percent gay or one hundred percent straight.
You fall somewhere on a scale. And that could change over time as you understand yourself better, so it’s not even permanent. ”
Riley’s gaze snapped between Cole, Josh and Elena. Elena pretended to mind her own business and Cole was surprisingly serious, a rare phenomenon. Josh looked like he was trying to do calculus in his head.
“So, I might not have been gay last week, but I could be gay today?” he asked, and Riley decided to busy himself with making waffles. Cole was a teacher, after all.
Sometimes, Riley found it horrifying to think of Cole molding the minds of teenagers at Cherrywood High, but when he got in teacher mode, Riley could see how effective he was. It was kind of wild that Cole and Elena were both teachers, considering how different they were.
“It’s more like you may not have realized you had feelings for the same sex last week, not that you’re suddenly gay,” Cole said, and Josh nodded.
“What’s important is that you talk about it with Riley and you make sure he’s comfortable with what you share with others and when.
A person’s sexuality is an intimate and personal thing, and not everyone is comfortable with everyone knowing every aspect of their journey. ”
Riley couldn’t hide his thankful smile. Cole may have been a jackass most of the time, but he could be serious and supportive when the situation called for it.
Cole understood how important this was, and how life-altering it could be.
It wasn’t something he was going to mess around with.
Riley had never been so appreciative of his friendship.
“Ohhh, okay, and that’s why Riley didn’t want me to blurt it out in front of Hailey and Abby, because they don’t know.”
“What don’t I know?” Hailey asked as she breezed into the kitchen with Avery at her side.
Josh resembled a fish as his mouth opened and closed, trying to figure out what to say.
“You don’t know about the waffle maker!” Cole said awkwardly. “Check out this awesome feast!”
“Damn, you guys went all out,” Avery said, arm wrapped around Hailey’s shoulders. “Thanks for cooking.”
Hailey looked like she wanted to ask another question, but she shook it off and dove into the food now covering the kitchen island.
Food was always a useful distraction, but it didn’t work forever.
“Uhh, Elena, why are you covered in coffee?” Hailey asked as she made her way around the island.
Elena sighed before answering, “Cole is still working on his gag reflex,” which caused Avery to choke on the first sip of his own coffee. “Looks like Avery needs the practice too.”
They all laughed, and Riley was thankful that the conversation was over… for now.
