Chapter 19
CHAPTER 19
The next morning, as expected, they were met with resistance because they had requested more people in their meeting. Looks like they were having another dick measuring contest first thing in the morning.
What the chief didn’t know was that the team lived for those contests. People always thought that because they were women, they would cower in a corner and be scared of their opponents.
They had no issues whipping out their imaginary dicks and measuring it up alongside theirs. The difference was, while the bad guys were using their actual dicks to measure against theirs, strictly because they were women, the women were using their intelligence against them and winning every time.
There were rare occasions that they actually had a challenge when it came to suspects. Those were the ones they loved and had a small amount of respect for.
“Chief Blackfoot has cancelled his meeting this morning.”
“And no courtesy phone call? Okay, we can wait here in his lobby until he decides that his missing granddaughters are important enough to talk to us about. In the meantime, I can reach out to some of my peeps about how the chief doesn’t give a rat’s ass about the females missing from his tribe and how he’s paying off a BIA agent, or agents, to cover up his missing people information.”
“How dare you! Just like you white people to cause issues for a different race that you deem beneath you! I can and will have you thrown in jail and have your badges removed!” The woman sneered at the four women.
The team smirked at each other. The chief had sent a woman who identified herself as the tribe’s legal counsel to send them away.
“Go ahead and try it. One, we know you’re not the actual legal counsel for the tribe. You’re a lowly secretary that was sent to do the dirty work for the chief. A chief who’s in his feelings because Catori, Iyei, Jace and Warcloud were also summoned by us to be at this meeting. Now, kindly inform the chief that we will sit here and wait for him to man the fuck up or we can start making calls that can and will cause his monetary fun to decline.” Pratt warned the woman with a smile.
“She’s nicer than I would have been.” Diesel quipped, popping the bubble gum she blew out of her mouth as she cleaned her nails with the sharp end of her dagger she always carried on her thigh.
The team couldn’t but hide their amusement at the woman’s eyes going wide when she turned toward Diesel. With her long blonde hair with blue tips on the bottom, her black eye liner and mascara, plus her tattoos showing, Diesel alone was a sight to behold.
Since they were on vacation, the women had left their hair down and wore their civilian clothes. They had Hank and the men hang back to watch the entrance to the reservation in case they actually manage to spook anyone while they were there.
To really tick the chief off more, the four women rode their motorcycles onto the reservation for the meeting. They were a sight to watch when they rode their Harleys.
“J-just one minute.” The woman stammered as she quickly walked away.
They didn’t have to wait long before the woman was back, leading them into the big man’s office. Inside was a glaring Chief Blackfoot, daddy Alberty, Iyei, Jace, a weeping Catori and a visibly upset Warcloud.
The four women looked at each other and smirked. They were really about to shake up everyone’s day today.
“Chief Blackfoot.” The women addressed the man as one.
“I don’t take kindly to threats. You have exactly five minutes and your time starts now.”
“I’m curious Chief, Citali Alberty killed your only son. The son you had hoped to someday take your place. You banished him from not only the tribe, but the reservation. But then you forced your daughter to marry his youngest brother, Iyei. A man who not only abuses your daughter but has abused both of your granddaughters as well. Not only him, but he’s allowed the banned brother and his other brother, Anam to beat and rape your daughter and granddaughters.” Raso stared the man in the eyes.
“That’s a lie!” Iyei screamed as he jumped up from his seat, stumbling in the process.
“Which part? That you not only beat your wife and stepdaughters or the fact you have been allowing Citali on the reservation to do the same thing, long, and that Anam joins in?” Diesel glared at the obviously drunk man.
“Catori, is this true?” Chief Blackfoot seethed as he asked his daughter for the answer.
“Where I am concerned, yes.” Catori admitted, obvious shame in her eyes, before turning pleading eyes to the women. “Are you sure about Aiyannei and Enola? I-I’ve never seen them touch the girls. It’s always been when they are at school and Jace is off work so that he can’t see them sneaking Citali on the reservation.”
“Both girls have photos and detailed entries in their diaries. In each entry, they state you’ve either been drugged by Iyei or you are away at the grocery store or doing errands for your father. You left thinking that Iyei was passed out drunk. Seems the drunk actions were all an act, mostly.” Pratt informed Catori softly.
“They never told me!” Catori cried out, her eyes going wild as she whirled on Iyei.
“They wouldn’t because the Alberty’s threatened you, Jace and their grandfather with death if they told you anything going on.” York pointed out to the room.
“They are lying! Citali left Montana when he was banished. He’s been forbidden to come back here and has been dead to me since then. He was sent to family out west.” The senior Alberty declared. “These people have no respect for Native Americans!”
“For Native Americans? Yes, we have a huge respect for them. For a man who lies about his heritage so the Perez Cartel can steal their money from their casinos with the help of their inside man? Not a chance. We already know your history, Alberty. The only real Natives in this room are the Blackfoot and Warcloud. Iyei is only half Native American. Your ass is straight up Mexican and a member of the Perez Cartel like your granddaddy and your daddy.”
