Chapter 3 The Stranger
I thought it was just a joke.
Then one day Ji Chengzhou actually brought home a young man.
He told our parents this was their real son—that he’d been switched at birth.
The guy looked almost identical to Dad in his youth.
We were all frozen in shock.
Ji Chengzhou pulled out two documents.
“These are the DNA reports.”
I snatched them, heart pounding.
Zhao Zhishu’s report showed four nines—undeniable proof he was Mom and Dad’s biological child.
I’d just been messing around—how did Ji Chengzhou actually turn out not to be theirs?
Mom grabbed the other report, read it, and patted her chest in relief.
“Ji Chengzhou, you love pranks. The test says you’re over 99.9% ours. So I gave birth to twins that year.”
Dad beamed. “I knew your belly was bigger the second time. We have three sons now!”
I stared at the number higher than 99.9% and let out a breath.
Thank God. Ji Chengzhou was still theirs.
I was still the older one.
