Ken said, “Aww.” We both looked at him causing him to straighten. Ken quickly declared, “I didn’t say that out loud.” He left and went into the hallway. Odette whispered, “I didn’t make you anything.” I disagreed, “You made me dinner.”
Odette argued, “That’s not the same.” I told her, “I haven’t done anything like this for a while, but you inspired me.” My mate smiled and tore open the present. Her jaw dropped and a few tears leaked out. Odette whispered, “You made this?”
I teased, “Well, not the books. I bought those for you, but I carved the bookshelf.” My mate ran her fingers over the carvings. I’d added an O and a K to it at the last minute. Odette turned and launched herself into my lap, pressing her lips to mine.
I pulled back asking, “Do you like it?” Odette gushed, “I love it, Key.” She threw her top off over her head. I growled, “What the fuck?!” She had on a red bra that was see through. She jumped back off me and winked.
I growled, “Odette.” My mate announced, “My present for you is in my room. Let’s go see it.” She sauntered away and my eyes went straight to her ass. My mouth watered as I moved after her. I ran my hands over her ass.
Odette nervously handed me a bag. I threw the tissue paper out of it and my brain blanked. My mate quickly said, “We don't have to but….” I asked, “My Song wants to use this?” Channing purred, “Yes.” Odette gulped but nodded. Channing was delighted, “Use them all now.”

I ran down to my truck and went home quickly seeking out my dad.
I found him in his office. Dad looked up and smirked.
I sat down, “I have a question.” Dad smiled, “Alright, I have answers.” I looked away, “When I was with my girlfriend this weekend, I felt this primal side come out in me like never before.”
Dad told me, “Your Alpha blood activated, that’s normal. We are highly sexual and dominant. It sounds like our dominant side fully came out. Plus, the Hood are dominant as well.” I asked, “What does that mean?”
Dad answered, “Just that you’ll be dominant in the bedroom. You already look and seem more confident. You’ll also want to be in the bedroom more.” I snorted, “I have school.” Dad reasoned, “You aren’t in school all the time.” He winked.
I snorted, “I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to encourage this.” Dad shrugged, “You’re an adult, and it’s literally biology son. I just thought you already went through this phase and didn’t need to talk about it.” I stood, “Well, thanks for the talk.”
Dad pointed out, “It wasn’t a very long talk, but my door is always open.” I told him, “I know. I’m going back to Katie’s.” Dad called, “Say hi to your mom before you leave.” I nodded and took off. I packed a bag and then found mom with Sally and Ted.
I smiled, “I’m heading back to Katie’s.” Mom gave me a kiss then asked, “Did she like her present?” I grinned broadly, “She loved it.” Mom grinned triumphantly, “I knew she would.” I was about to leave when Emmett said, “Hey Keaton, I need to talk to you and Keith quickly.”
I sighed but closed the door and flashed into his office. Keith joined us teasing, “Take a shower, little bro. We can all smell your sexy activities and girlfriend, all over you.” Emmett agreed, “We can but I don’t think a shower would help.” I rolled my eyes at both of them.
Emmett changed the subject, “I called you both in here because when I’m at the Summit with dad, Colton, and most of us, you guys will be in charge.
” My eyes widened. I asked, “Us?” Emmett answered, “Yes, Tony Jr. is being told by Malachi, as well as Clara. You four will be in charge while we are gone. Grandpa will be around, but he’s taking Grandma on a trip. He won’t be far away if he’s needed.”
I gulped. Keith said, “We won’t let you down.” What if I did? Emmett gently said, “Keaton, if I didn’t believe you and Keith could do this, then I wouldn’t give you this responsibility. You are ready.” I nodded, “Ok. Keith is right, we won’t let you down.”
Keith grabbed me and tugged me upstairs to his room. I asked, “Do you want to strategize?” Keith said, “Huh? About being in charge? No, we’ve got that. We could do it in our sleep. I’m planning May’s birthday.”
I said, “Ok. I still need more information.” Keith began to pace, “It has to be perfect.” I reasoned, “Shouldn’t you ask a partial Fairy about this then? Like Immy, Annie, Bryce, or your Beta. You do remember Tony Jr?”
Keith said, “I did a thing.” I sighed, “Man, it’s like pulling teeth tonight! What’s going on?” Keith sighed, “I caved and asked Emmaline if May is mine, she is. Now her birthday HAS to be perfect. Just like Emmett made Alexandria’s eighteenth birthday.”
I nodded, “This I can work with. First of all, welcome to the party. We’ve all known you and May were mates. Mom says since May could crawl, and I’m sure I’d agree if I remembered being that little.” Keith growled at me.
I continued, “Second, you know May best. Would she want a huge party, or something private? Alexandria wanted a big party, which is why Emmett planned it. What would May want?” Keith immediately answered, “A string ceremony because May has always loved them.”
I said, “Then involve Joe in your plan. He’ll have one just for her.
” Keith sighed, “That’s not really done.
” I shrugged, “We are partials and things have to adjust for us. We can’t have May in seclusion from you so all the February birthdays can go to a ceremony.
May’s a wolf too. Talk to Joe, or I will.
He’ll do it, I know he will. Then Sally and May can spend the day getting ready for her ceremony. ”
“Whoever May wants to have there can be. You can even tell her it’s a surprise then have someone tell your mate before she walks in that it’s her string ceremony.
Or Sally can. The after party can be at Dad’s club, Emmett’s, here, or in the Shroud.
The point is, just set up the night of May’s dreams. Which you know.
