The first warning

Author's pov-

Purv was never the type to make impulsive moves when it came to revenge. If he wanted someone to suffer, he made sure they felt it in layers-slowly, deeply, until there was no escape.

And Rehan had just made himself a target.

That night, purv sat in the car, fingers tapping against the steering wheel, eyes locked on the college entrance. He wasn't reckless enough to confront Rehan in the open-not yet. This had to be calculated.

His phone buzzed.

Purv smirked before typing back.

A few minutes later, rehan emerged from the main building, walking with his usual arrogance, his phone in hand. He had no idea he was being watched.

Purv stepped out of his car and leaned against the hood, making sure Rehan would see him.

It worked.

Rehan slowed, noticing purv's intense stare. He smirked, but there was a flicker of uncertainty in his eyes. "If it isn't the great purv," he called out, stopping a few feet away. "Something on your mind?"

Purv tilted his head, his sharp gaze. "Yeah. Divya."

Rehan chuckled. "She told you, huh?"

Purv's expression didn't change. "You touched her."

Rehan shrugged. "I think she misread the situation."

Purv's smirk was lethal. "No, I think you did." He took a step forward. "You thought you could get away with it."

Rehan scoffed. "And what? You'll hit me? You'll make a scene?"

Purv chuckled, but there was no humor in it. "I don't need to touch you to make your life hell."

Rehan's smirk faltered slightly.

Purv leaned in just enough to lower his voice. "You have no idea what I'm capable of, Rehan. You messed with the wrong girl."

Rehan swallowed, trying to mask his discomfort. "Is that a threat?"

Purv's eyes darkened. "No. It's a promise."

And with that, he turned and walked back to his car, leaving rehan standing there, suddenly feeling much less confident than before.
