Chapter 42
The Deployment
Harper
“At the coffee shop?” Kenz sits on my bed with her back against the headboard. “In the bathroom?”
I press my hands against my hot cheeks. I’m sitting in my desk chair. “Yes. I should just write whore on my own locker at this point, right?”
“Fuck that.” Kenz sits up and throws a pillow at me. “Own that shit. You fucked all the horsemen in one day. You’re a fucking legend.” She stops and giggles. “Like literally.”
I throw the pillow back at her. “I’m a sore fucking legend.”
“I can’t believe you took Caden first. Holy shit, H. That’s the definition of go big or go home.” She grins. “Like real big.”
My blush this time has little to do with being embarrassed. “He was so patient.”
Yes, my heart flutters remembering. No, I’m not telling Kenz that. But when he kissed me outside the coffee shop, oof, my heart leapt in my chest. He makes it so easy to want to be with him.
Kenz leans back. “Now I’m jealous I’m only getting one dick. It’s a good dick, but you get five.”
“Sore. That’s what I am.” I’ve showered and drank a glass of cranberry juice as a precaution. Pretty sure that’s my new go-to morning juice this year.
“Girl, I’m lucky to get a couple orgasms, but you get a couple from each guy. I understand why the girls will riot when they realize the only pussy the guys want is yours.” Kenz gives me a kissy face.
I crash on the bed next to her. “How long were you sore after the first time?”
Kenz laughs. “Oh, honey, I took one cock, one time, and then we waited a few days before going at it again. I don’t know what your situation would be like. But damn, seven times, H.”
She puts her hands next to her head and makes a mind-blown gesture.
I sigh. Yeah, I was afraid of that. I’m just not sure how much time I’ll get to recuperate. “How are you and Brandon?”
“Apparently I’ve got to get him up to certain standards. I thought three times was a lot.” She shakes her head. “But we’re good. He’s been sweet lately, and getting to spend the night with him on Friday was awesome.”
I move closer to Kenz and whisper, “Caden and Luke slept here last night.”
“For real?” Kenz glances at my door. “What about your mom?”
“She works nights this week.” I shrug but then remember. “Think you could spend the night?”
“I’m not sure. I can ask Mom. You could always stay at my place. I’m sure she wouldn’t mind.” Kenz picks at the bedspread like she knows what I’m going to say.
Spending the night at Kenz’s means sleeping in a sleeping bag on her floor, surrounded by dirty clothes. “It’s okay if you can’t stay here. I’ll be good on my own.”
I’ve been fine here on my own many nights before the horsemen noticed me.
“I’ll check, but she doesn’t really believe I spent the night here on Friday.” Kenz tugs at her hair and grins. “It’s like she’s got a sixth sense for shenanigans.”
A knock sounds on my door before it opens. Mom stops in the doorway.
“Hey, girls.” Mom smiles. “Catching up?”
“Yeah.” I roll to sit on the edge of the bed.
Mom steps into the room and brushes my hair off my face. She tips up my chin and looks confused for a moment. Can she tell what I’ve been doing all day? What they did to me all weekend?
“I’m making breakfast for dinner tonight.” I give her a smile, hoping to distract her. Releasing me, she brushes it off.
“Are you staying for dinner, MacKenzie?” Mom’s dark eyes leave me, and I breathe a little easier.
“No, Mom’s on a rampage about family dinners.” Kenz shrugs. “But your breakfast sounds better than meatloaf any day.”
“What about the guys?” Mom’s questioning gaze falls on me. Heat floods my face. Yeah, I don’t think seeing the guys with me will be a good thing right now. Mom will definitely figure out something happened.
“Yeah, Harper, what about the guys?” Kenz makes eyes from behind my mom.
“I’m not sure what their plans are for tonight.” And I honestly don’t. I’m a little curious, but not enough to text and get lured in again. Am I supposed to turn on my webcam? “I could use a night off.”
“Sounds like hanging out with them is a job.” Mom searches my eyes.
She’s not far from the truth. It might as well be a job. They’re a lot to keep up with, but I’ve had fun too. It’s nice to have people to hang out with. And they aren’t all bad.
“They have big personalities, and I’m used to being on my own or just with you two.” I smile. “I’m going to enjoy the silence.”
Kenz snickers, and I smack her leg.
“Well, I look forward to dinner with my number one bestie.” Mom squeezes my shoulder before she heads out the door.
I close the door after her.
“What really needs a break is your vajayjay.” Kenz falls over snickering into the pillow.
I shake my head, but she’s not wrong. I’m curious enough to ask, “Do you want it all the time?”
Kenz grins and nods. “That first week we did it so many times.”
“I’m so screwed.” Times five. Five guys who want in my pants all the time. I fall back on the bed again.
She leans over me. “Yes, you are.”
“Is Kenz coming back and spending the night?” Mom asks before eating a bite of waffle dripping in butter and syrup.
“No, her mom said not tonight. Apparently she was gone most of the weekend.” I eat some of my waffle. Kind of like I was.
“You did okay last night on your own?” Mom’s eyes search mine.
“Mmhmm.” I continue to chew my waffle, glad my mouth is full. The guys have been radio silent for the past few hours. I don’t know whether to be worried or grateful they’ve given me this time without the constant communication.
“I’ll be fine. Bob and Fran are a call away. It’s a school night, so kids won’t be running around pranking the neighborhood.” I lick the syrup off my fork and pierce a sausage link. “I’ll watch something nice and wholesome before bed. No zombies.”
Mom grunts around a mouthful of food before swallowing. “That’s a good plan. I had zombie dreams all day today. All that moaning…”
I swallow hard.
Shaking her head, she cuts her food slowly. Her full attention is on her plate when she asks, “The guys aren’t planning on hanging out with you?”
“We studied earlier, and it’s a school night.” I shrug. If I asked them to, they would. But they think Kenz is spending the night, which may be why they haven’t asked to webcam. But they would have to communicate with me to find out if anything changed, and right now, they’ve basically dropped me.
“You could have them over, if you want.” Mom glances over at me. “They definitely would scare off anyone stupid enough to mess with you.”
I smile a little. “They do strike fear in the hearts of others.”
I never found out why Tanner was over here the other day. What did he hope to accomplish? He said he was worried about me, but then basically threatened to take me from the horsemen. I’m definitely avoiding him in the future, and I blocked his number.
After what Caden told me about his sister, I want nothing to do with Tanner Lewis. I knew he wanted to use me to get revenge, but I didn’t understand the lengths he’d go to. A shiver runs down my spine.
“Still not settled on just one of them?” Mom hedges. “Maybe Nico? You two were inseparable as kids.”
“Not dating exclusively this year, Mom. You’ll just have to deal with me hanging out with a group of guys.” I lift my fork and point it at her. “I’m going to college next year and don’t need to do the long-distance thing. Besides it’s kind of nice having all of their attention.”
I shove a bite in my mouth to keep from thinking about all of their attention.
“As long as everyone is on the same page. You don’t want to end up with hurt feelings because someone didn’t get the memo. Guys can be emotional too.” Mom pushes her plate away.
“Not these guys, but yes, we’re all on the same page.”
Except maybe Caden, who wants to keep me. And maybe Nico. Who knows what Luke is thinking? Maybe Eli. Possibly Jack. Fuck, that would be weird.
I shake my head and grab my plate and hers.
“I need to get ready for work. Do you need help with the dishes?” Mom stands and stretches.
“No, I’ve got them.”
After the pans are in the drying rack and the dishwasher is running, I take my books out of my backpack to make sure I have all my homework done. When I get to my statistics homework, I have two worksheets.
Jack’s name is in bold at the top of the extra sheet. Oops.
I grab my phone and pull up my texts.
Me:
I accidentally grabbed your statistics homework
Famine (Jack):
Should I come get it?
Me:
I’ll see you tomorrow morning right?
Famine (Jack):
Maybe I want to see you tonight
“I’m heading out, sweetie.” Mom stops and kisses the top of my head. “Stay safe.”
“I will. You too.”
She grabs her keys, and I blow her a kiss she catches before heading out the door.
Me:
I’ll give it to you first thing in the morning
Famine (Jack):
Is Kenz there?
I lean back in my chair and stare at the text. Do I lie and say she is? Mom’s gone, and I’m all alone tonight, but seriously, I could use some time off.
Me:
Not yet
Famine (Jack):
Come play with me online then
My laptop is still closed on the table. I have to open it to finish some of my homework. It’s not like I can lock Jack out of my computer. If I could even find a way, he’d find a way back in.
I open my laptop, and the video streams come up as my camera turns on. Jack grins, and something settles inside me. Luke walks by his camera with no shirt on, dripping sweat. He has AirPods in his ears, and his hands are wrapped in white tape.
Sweet mother of mercy, that man is hot.
“No drooling, sweetheart.” Jack makes my gaze return to him.
“You guys aren’t hanging out tonight?” The other rooms are dark and empty.
“Finishing up homework. My parents wanted to have dinner as a family. Luke’s home alone, but Caden’s family is in town tonight, so they’re pretending to be normal. Not sure what Eli and Nico are up to.”
“Oh.” So maybe no one would be able to spend the night with me after all. Guess I didn’t need to worry. “I just had dinner with my mom.”
“Yeah?” Jack leans back in his chair. “She off to work?”
I nod. Luke walks by his camera again. His blond hair falls around his face as he tugs at the tape on his hand with his teeth. His muscles are all in sharp relief, and sweat rolls down the valleys between them.
“He’s got a gorgeous body.” Jack runs his fingers over his lips, his eyes locked on the screen.
“Yes, he does.” I sigh, remembering his bare chest rubbing against mine in that dark car. I press my thighs together.
“He can hear you two.” Luke’s eyes shift to look at us without turning his head. I didn’t notice his headphones weren’t in anymore. Oops.
“Whatever.” Jack waves a hand at the screen. “You’re hot and you know it. If you bent even a little in my direction, I’d be all over you.”
Luke shakes his head as he drops the wad of tape in the trash. “What are you doing on?”
I’m not sure if he’s asking me or Jack.
Jack answers before I can. “Harper stole my homework so she’d have an excuse to text me.”
He winks, but I shake my head.
“Where’s MacKenzie?” Luke leans his hands against the edge of his desk, and his face fills the screen.
Fuck, he’s gorgeous. Even hot and sweaty. Maybe even more so hot and sweaty.
“Uh…” Yeah, my brain has left the building as all the blood in my body focuses between my legs.
Luke’s eyebrow lifts, and the corner of his mouth tips up. “You all alone, princess?”
Jack isn’t being helpful anymore. Instead, he looks curious.
“My mom just left for work.” Stick as close to the truth as possible.
Luke uses his teeth to rip up the end of the tape on his other hand. A whimper slips out of me before I can stop it.
My eyes widen. Oh, fuck. I grab my book. “I have homework I have to get done.”
“Feeling needy, princess?”
I glance at Luke’s knowing expression. Yes, my body hasn’t gotten the memo it’s not getting any tonight. “Nope. Just need to work on homework, then go to sleep.”
He makes a knowing noise before he throws the tape in the trash. “I need a shower.”
“Have fun in your shower.” I wave a hand in his general direction. He stretches up, and my helpless gaze flutters to his abs and that V that leads to his D.
Luke chuckles before moving out of frame. I drag in a breath and blow it out.
“Fuck, sweetheart. I swear I feel the heat rolling off him all the way over here.” Jack takes a drink of his water. His look turns naughty. “Want to flick the bean? Take the edge off?”
“I still have homework to do.” I glance around my kitchen at the windows, like someone could peer in.
“It doesn’t take long, sweetheart.” Jack leans forward. His dark hair falls over his blue eyes. “I bet you could get off faster than I can.”
I’ve only masturbated the one time, with Luke guiding me through it. My pussy throbs with need. It’s got to be better than having one of them come over and take care of it. Then again, they’re really good at getting me off.
“Take me up to your bedroom, sweetheart. We’ll strip down and get off to each other.” Jack’s voice is like a siren song luring me to do forbidden things. “You can’t get in trouble if I’m doing it to you.”
I’d forgotten I’m prohibited from touching myself without permission. Would I just be making myself even more needy? How many times have I already come today? When will it be enough?
“I should do my homework.” I bite the end of my pen as I pull over my history textbook.
“Fuck, sweetheart. Suck on the pen.” Jack’s hand works his cock below the line of the camera, but it’s obvious what he’s doing.
My pussy pulses in time with his strokes. I pull the pen out of my mouth. “What?”
“Your mouth is fucking divine. When I slip my cock between your lips and you suck—”
“Jack! What if someone comes into one of the other guys’ rooms while you’re doing that?”
“Hmm, you’re right. Fuck it.” He stands. His cock, red and swollen, fills the screen before he pulls his sweats up. “Be right there.”
His computer clicks off.
“Wait. What? Jack? Oh, fuck.” I grab my phone and text.
Me:
What do you mean?
Answer me
Walking over to the door, I make sure it’s locked. I return to sit in front of the computer, but his screen is still down. I don’t know what to do to bring it back up. He’s not coming over here. Right?
Fuck, what if he’s coming over here? They’ll find out Kenz isn’t coming over.
What if he wants to fuck me? Ugh, I should not be getting wet thinking of him fucking me.
Me:
You shouldn’t come over
How far away is Jack’s house to mine? The way he drives, he could probably be here in a few minutes. What am I going to do?
“What’s wrong?” Luke appears in a towel and fuck, he looks even better damp and freshly showered.
“Jack said he’d be right here. Does that mean he’s coming over?” I glance toward the door like he’s going to magically appear in front of it.
Luke sits in his desk chair in only his towel. “What exactly were you two doing, princess?”
