Chapter 8 The Accidental Collision

Moreover, the technical department discovered a half fingerprint on the victim's collar.

The young officer gestured toward me and Chef Zhang. "The captain said the fingerprints of related personnel all need to be collected for comparison."

He Tingzhou nodded and looked at me. "Let's go. First, take you for fingerprint collection."

The fingerprint collection was quick. The results would come in at most an hour.

I sat outside the examination room waiting for the results. He Tingzhou bought me some bread and water. "Eat something to tide you over. The cafeteria won't open for another half hour."

I thanked him and took it, but only unscrewed the water and took a sip.

"What's wrong?"

He Tingzhou had been standing beside me. Seeing this, he bent down to check on me. "Worried the results will be unfavorable?"

I shook my head and yawned. "Too sleepy. No appetite for food."

He Tingzhou smiled and reached out to rub my head. "I find you so heartless. If anyone else was listed as a suspect, they'd be anxious out of their minds. But you? You can still get sleepy."

I got even sleepier from his rubbing. I squinted my eyes. "With you here, what do I have to be anxious about?"

He Tingzhou's movements paused slightly. "Three hours ago I was still pointing a gun at you. You can still trust me like this. That's pretty impressive."

I couldn't help looking him up and down. My gaze lingered for two seconds on his bulging chest. "Pointing a gun at me shows you're the one without class, not believing my innocence—but I'm different. I have class."

"Letting your looks dictate your morals? That's what you call having class?"

He Tingzhou couldn't hold back a laugh. "Then I guess I can only try my best not to disappoint your morals."

As he spoke, he sat down beside me. The warmth from his body seemed to pass through the clothes in an instant. I inexplicably felt a bit dry in the mouth and took another sip of water.

"It's getting cooler these days. Drink less cold water." He Tingzhou reached out and pressed down on my water bottle. "If you're really sleepy, stand up and walk around a bit. Once eight hours are up, you can sleep all you want."

"I'm okay..."

I yawned again and accidentally knocked the bread to the floor. I subconsciously leaned sideways to pick it up, but collided with He Tingzhou who was also bending down.

Then, my face landed perfectly, without missing by half an inch, right into his chest!

Holy shit, the sensation!

He Tingzhou froze for a moment, then hurriedly pulled me away in a panic. "Where are you bumping into?!"

And I was completely dumbfounded.

So full and soft!

"You did that on purpose—"

He Tingzhou's accusing voice suddenly halted. He looked at my face, his actions even more flustered. "Stop staring at me! You're getting a nosebleed!!"
