BINGO!!!
Hey guys!
I've been reading all of your comments, and honestly, some of them made me laugh. ??
But after reading them, I realized something.
There were a lot of things about this story and these characters that I didn't fully realize until you guys pointed them out.
When I first started writing Amor and Emery's story, I kept thinking about one thing: what kind of situation could realistically break them apart?
I didn't want it to be something that would immediately make everyone point fingers at one person. Because let's be honest, in a lot of stories, there's usually someone to blame. There's cheating, a toxic friends, toxic parents, or someone who becomes the obvious villain of the story.
And there's nothing wrong with that.
But I wanted to explore something different.
I wanted to write a story where the conflict wasn't necessarily another person.
I wanted to write about two people who genuinely loved each other but still ended up hurting each other.
Because sometimes that's what happens in real life.
While building Emery's character, I wasn't really focused on whether she was right or wrong. I was focused on her emotions. I was trying to understand where she was coming from and why she made the decisions she made.
Maybe that's because of who I am as a person.
I've always been the type of person who tries to understand every side of a situation. I don't immediately look for someone to blame. I try to understand why people do what they do, even when I don't agree with their choices. And honestly, I think part of that comes from my own experiences.
One of the reasons why I don't easily enter relationships is because of what happened to my parents.
Even now, I still carry some of that fear.
I've had people I liked before. There were people who liked me too. There were situations that could've become something more. But most of the time, I stopped myself not because I don't believe in love but because I'm scared.
Scared of getting hurt.
Scared of things falling apart.
Scared that no matter how much two people love each other, things can still go wrong.
And I think that's one of the reasons why I understand Emery's situation-not because I'm the one who created her character, but because I understand where that fear comes from.
I know there are people out there who have experienced the same thing, who carry the same fears and struggles, even if they don't always know how to explain them.
I'm not saying what she did was right.
I'm not defending her actions.
What she did hurt Amor, and that pain can't simply be erased.
But at the same time, I understand where her fear came from.
Sometimes people don't hide things because they want to deceive someone.
Sometimes they hide things because they're afraid.
Afraid of hurting the people they love.
Afraid of being misunderstood.
Afraid of losing something important to them.
The sad thing is that sometimes those fears end up causing the very thing they were trying to avoid they think they're protecting the relationship but they
don't realize they're already hurting
the person they love.
And that's what happened to Emery.
Her fear backfired on her.
The more she tried to protect Amor, the more she ended up hurting her.
But at the same time, Amor also has flaws. Amor wasn't written to be perfect too. One of her biggest flaws is that she runs away from things that need to be talked about.
When she's hurt, overwhelmed, or scared, her instinct is usually to pull away.
She overthinks.
She assumes the worst.
She imagines future outcomes before they even happen.
And sometimes she ends up believing those fears before giving herself a chance to see any other possibility.
That's one of the saddest things about her character.
A lot of the time, she's fighting battles inside her own head.
There are emotions and fears she doesn't fully understand herself (Hindi kona sasabihin baka maging spoiler ako), so she struggles to explain them to other people too Just like Emery.
And because of that, she runs not because she doesn't care but because she doesn't know how to deal with what she's feeling.
That's also part of the reason why Emery struggled to explain herself completely.
Their problems didn't happen because one person was completely right and the other was completely wrong.
Their problems happened because both of them had flaws, fears, and wounds they hadn't fully healed from yet.
And honestly, that's the kind of story I wanted to tell.
A story where two people love each other deeply.
A story where nobody stopped loving.
A story where nobody chose someone else.
A story where love existed, but love alone wasn't enough to fix everything.
Because in real life, not every broken relationship has a villain. Sometimes there are just two people trying their best while carrying pain they don't fully understand yet.
And about Robert...
I've seen some comments about him and it's kinda funny.
But if you guys will ask me, I don't think Robert created the problem.
I think he exposed it.
The fears were already there.
The secrets were already there.
The unresolved emotions were already there.
Robert simply became the reason everything finally came to the surface because sometimes we don't realize how much we're avoiding something until we're forced to face it and I think that's what happened to Emery.
Anyway, I genuinely enjoy reading all of your thoughts and reactions and honestly, seeing some of you get frustrated, angry, emotional, or invested in these characters makes me happy as the one who make this story.
Not because I enjoy seeing you suffer but because it means you care.??
It means the characters feel real enough for you to get attached to them and if some of you hate Emery right now, then maybe I did my job well enough to make you feel something.
So thank you.
Thank you for reading.
Thank you for commenting.
And thank you for caring about these characters as much as I do.
I won't be able to update today because some relatives came over, and I'm going to spend some time with my family.
See you guys soon, and thank you for being here. ??
