Chapter 7 Keep Fighting

That calm voice was like a spark dropped into a powder keg.

It lit the rage that had already been barely contained.

Gu Chaonan turned around.

He smashed a hard punch into his face.

Through gritted teeth: "What do you mean by saying that now?"

Shen Leyue went to support him, face full of panic.

"Gu Chaonan, what are you doing? He's still injured!"

He pulled his hand back with a cold scoff.

"Coveting my wife. He deserves it."

"Are you sick? They're in the past. You've been brothers for over twenty years!"

Shen Leyue glared at Gu Chaonan.

But Xie Yiheng brushed her hand away.

His gaze cut through the crowd and landed hard on my face.

Our eyes met. No calm left.

"I can't get past it."

His voice was soft, like he was talking to himself.

But it fell clearly into everyone's ears.

Dead silence.

Chen Chen covered his face, unable to watch.

Shen Leyue looked at him, her face pale.

Tears slowly filled her eyes.

Xie Yiheng stood up and walked in front of Gu Chaonan.

Ignoring his split lip, there was a storm in his eyes I had never seen before.

"Coveting your wife?"

"She was my wife first. You're the thief who took advantage!"

Gu Chaonan exploded. "Xie Yiheng, you're asking for death!"

Punch after punch, each heavier than the last.

Xie Yiheng gave as good as he got.

Both of them were beating each other half to death.

Chen Chen rushed in to break it up, face crumpled.

"Stop! Xie Yiheng's hand is still hurt. What if you wreck it?"

Seeing he couldn't stop them, he looked at me for help.

"Wen Yu, look—maybe make them stop first?"

I smiled mildly.

"Keep going. If they beat each other to death, even better."

Both of them froze mid-motion.
