CHAPTER 32
*~* Breaker *~*
Walking into the craft shop, I smile at the woman behind the counter. “Morning, I hope the hoodie is ready?”
“It is…just a moment and I’ll get it for you.” The woman rushes into a back room and then returns with a bag, which she hands over to me. “I hope it’s what you wanted.”
I take the hoodie out of the bag, and the back of the hoodie has the club logo nice and bold. It looks fucking awesome. Turning it to look at the front, I smirk because where you would have a breast pocket is a small club logo with Breaker underneath it. “Perfect. That is fuckin’ perfect.”
“I’m so happy that it is what you wanted. I have it all set up now, so if you want another, or a t-shirt, or anything doing, even a mug I can do it for you.” The woman gives me a huge smile, and I can’t help but return it.
“You can do me another hoodie, to fit my old lady. But where mine says Breaker it will need to say Babe.” The woman creates the invoice, and I pay upfront because that’s how she works, and I can’t wait for her to get it done. “I’ll be back later in the week if that is okay?”
“I’ll have it done in 48hrs so any time after that,” she says, and I look at her name badge, which stays Alicia.
I give her the cash. “Thanks, Alicia. I’ll see you later in the week. Oh, keep it a black hoodie.”
“Sure will,” Alicia replies and I quickly head out and back to the clubhouse.
Back at the clubhouse I take off my cut and place it on the table with brothers watching what I’m doing. Cannon walks over and peers into the bag I’ve started to open. Nudging him out of the way, I take out the hoodie, shake it out dramatically, then slip it on.
Now, I’m an asshole I know, and I rub this in their noses.
Walking up and down the rec room as though I’m on one of those fashion walkways.
Twist at the end and then walk back again.
Brothers step closer and take a better look.
Wraith grabs my arm and holds me still while he looks, and I can see he’s interested. In fact. They are all interested.
“What’s going on?” Whack asks as he walks into the rec room from the kitchen.
Wraith points to me. “This asshole has got himself a club hoodie. I want one of these; they're fucking awesome.”
Whack walks over and frowns right before he looks me in the eye. “Where did you get that?”
Now, I smirk knowing I’ve got something they all want. “Well, I found someone who does this shit, and she’s doing one for Molly too.”
Whack grunts, “Who wants one?” Everyone quickly replies they want one, and that all the brothers will want one. “See Breaker, he’ll sort it. Oh, get mine done too.”
“No, I’m not organizing this shit!” I panic, but when Pattie giggles, I give her a serious look, which knocks the smile right off her face.
“Well, Pattie, you are it. You are the marketing person, so get marketing. The woman in the craft shop did it.” That’s all I say as I get the hell out of there and leave Pattie to it.
I head to the bar we’ve placed an offer on and am still waiting for the acceptance or rejection.
The man who owns the place would be stupid to turn us down.
I sit outside, and when I hear a hog approaching I look over my shoulder.
Saddle pulls up and gives me a dirty look.
“You are not supposed to be out on your own yet. Good thing I saw you leave, or Pres would be all over your ass.”
“I wanted to check what was happening at this place. By the looks of it, nothing at all.”
“Why don’t we speak with the realtor. Shove things along a little. I could do to let some aggression out.”
“Why’s that, Saddle? It’s not like you to feel that way,” I ask as I take a close look at him.
“Bri isn’t speaking to me. She’s pissed off that I’ve not stopped Julia from touching me. You know it’s nothing, and I know it’s nothing, but I thought Bri would know it’s nothing too. I just wanted to make her jealous and then have a fierce make-up session.”
I look at Saddle like he’s lost his mind. “What the fuck, man! Are you stupid!” I nearly shout because the shock of what he’s just said and the idiocy of it is simply a mind-fuck.
“I know, but I just thought it would be fun. I didn’t think Bri would take it to heart as she has. She won’t speak a word to me. I’ve tried talking to her, and she just looks through me and gives no response at all. What the fuck am I goin’ to do?”
“Well, in your shoes I would lock her in a room with me until she decided to get all her anger out. Then I’d fuck her six ways to Sunday until she’s right again.” I chuckle at my reply because it sounds like it could work.
“Right. I’ll do that as soon as we’ve seen the realtor.” Before I can respond Saddle has his helmet on, hog started and starts to pull away.
By the time I get to the realtor’s Saddle is already inside. Fuck, he must have smashed all the speed limits to get here this fast and already be inside.
“Find out what’s happenin’, we are not waiting any longer. He either accepts, or we take our cash somewhere else. NOW!” Saddle bellows the last.
The poor fucker rushes over to a phone and makes the call. The man is shaking, and I look at Saddle who is usually so calm, and see how unhinged he looks. Man, not speaking to Bri has really put him in a spin. “Calm yourself, Saddle. Let the man find out what’s happening.”
“I’ll tell him what’s happenin’. He either accepts it or we go find somewhere else to spend our cash. Fucking weeks we’ve been messing around with this prick.”
The realtor walks over and gives us a nod and tentative smile. “He accepts. I’ll get the paperwork to you within the next three days.”
“Right!” Saddle snaps and walks out. I give the man a shrug as I follow Saddle out to our hogs. I keep quiet because I don’t want to get on his bad side just at this minute.
I arrive back at the clubhouse, minus Saddle who headed to his house to sort out Bri once and for all. Well, that’s what he muttered to himself. Me, I think he’s going about it all wrong, and he shouldn’t have let one of the club girls touch him when he has an old lady.
Fury storms out of the clubhouse and stomps over to the picnic area. Throwing himself onto the top of a bench, he lifts his feet onto the seat. “You okay, Fury?” I ask, not really wanting to know because I’ve just left one miserable asshole and am not really in the mood for another.
“I’ve fucked up, and I don’t know how to fix it,” Fury snarls.
Ah, so this is still about Jamie. “Fury, you knew what you were doing when you went with Floss and I suppose the others, so you can only blame yourself. Jamie is a great woman, and you were lucky to have her. I’m not sure you can come back from this.
You know she’s gone away for two weeks don’t you? ”
“No!” Fury throws his hand up and grabs his hair, gripping it tightly. “Fuck, fuck!”
“Calm yourself, brother. You need to take a good look at yourself. You either want Jamie or you don’t.
Stop playing her like you can pick her up and drop her when you feel like it.
She works hard, runs her practice and helps us when needed.
She took on Molly, trusting that I knew things would be okay.
Prove to her you are worth the risk now, after all you’ve put her through. ”
A loud whistle gets our attention, and turning to look at the clubhouse Griller is standing at the door waving us inside. “Church!” he shouts, and we quickly make our way inside.
“Okay, let’s get this shit talked about,” Whack states as soon as the door to church closes.
“Para has contacted me. You all know we have a truce at this time. It’s not an easy truce, but it is one, and one that I hope we can keep.
We all know Para has been unreliable, and as his name states a parasite wherever he went.
I have had Paxton watching their clubhouse and doing what he does best to gain information.
It seems Para has taken a step away from being a piece of shit and has cleaned the club up since our last fracas with them. ”
“What did he want, Pres?” Chips asks.
Whack rubs his neck. “He has come across some information about a senator's son. This son is and has been for two years trafficking. The information Para has is that the son is moving his operation over this way because he can’t take more girls off the street where he is, as it’s becoming noticeable something is going on. Even the cops have upped patrols.”
The room erupts into chaos because none of us want that happening in our territory.
Bandit’s sister was trafficked, and when we eventually found her she was a shell of a person.
Although she was out she was trapped in her mind, and after a while she shot and killed herself.
She left a note for Bandit saying she loved him but couldn’t carry on.
“None of us will sit and watch this happen in our territory. We’ll tear them apart and feed them all to the wild hogs. I’d be happy to chop the fuckers up or feed them into a furnace,” I state while looking around for everyone’s reaction.
“I’ve already spoken to Mr. Bentley and informed him of what is happening and what could happen. He’s happy to use the furnace for whatever we need, after hours of course,” Whack informs us.
Mr. Bentley is the funeral home owner, and for him to offer the use of the furnace says he’s with us on the trafficking issue. Looking at Pres, I make a suggestion. “How about we start our own funeral place, you know the furnace part? It could come in handy, and its extra cash for the MC.”
Mumbles are flowing, and most are for it, but I smirk when Bear states loudly. “I’m not chopping up bodies, or burning corpses. I’ll kill them; you clean up.” Brothers break out laughing, and it eases the tension somewhat. Even Bandit has a small smile on his face.
“I’ll look into it because there have to be a lot of rules involved with it being human remains. Or how about we do a pet cremation service? That may be better.” Bull rubs his thumb and forefinger on his chin, and we all nod that he may have a point.
“Get the information, then come back with it,” Whack says, then continues.
“I want you all to get any sources you can on the job of watching and listening. We need every pair of eyes and ears we can get to be ready for these fuckers hitting our territory. As soon as they do, we take them out fast and clean.” Whack is a mean fucker when he needs to be, and this is a time we need to be.
Walking out of church, I have a feeling that some form of shit is going to happen, and maybe Ghost is going to be handy for this particular problem? I’ll suggest that to Pres when he comes out of church.
I wait around the rec room for Whack to appear, and when he does, I follow him into his office, close the door and tell him Ghost could be an asset with this problem. Why not use his skills to prove he’s suitable to join the MC.
After considering it for a while, Whack’s smiles. “That’s a good idea. I’ll speak to him, and I’ll send Riddle with him. Time he learned a bit more than washing vehicles and running errands.”
I find Ghost and send him to Whacks office, then make myself a mug of coffee and wait for what orders I’m going to be given.
Looking around the clubhouse, I’m imagining what Molly and the other two are planning for the wedding.
I can’t wait to make her my wife, and I’m one lucky fucker to have got kidnapped and find someone like Molly kidnapped too.
