Judica?l felt very positive about the experience; thanks to the well-adjusted background music, he hadn't heard a single protest from his gagged "cow."
She was securely strapped to the mounting frame, so her movements didn't hinder him, yet her rump retained enough freedom of movement for the act.
He could easily envision a second session, unless the test mating proved successful.
Nolwenn confirmed that the mounting frame would remain in place for a second session if needed before the couple left the farm. As it turned out, that wouldn't be necessary; the first session did the trick.
Thursday: Today, Louane is accompanying Guéna?lle to an appointment with Anne Le Mo?l, the head of the maternity ward at the Rennes University Hospital.
Le Mo?l wants to review the situation. She welcomes the two women into her office and immediately puts them at ease: from her perspective, everything is going well.
Her main concern is increasing milk deliveries; she is currently unable to meet the demand from other university hospitals, and it is clear that this frustrates her.
Louane knows her own production won’t rise until spring, when new tourists—and thus new cows for the barn—arrive.
Guéna?lle is the only one likely to recruit more clients willing to sell their milk.
She currently works part-time; the operation breaks even but generates little profit.
However, Louane recognizes that this serves as a legitimate showcase for selling the milk from her own, more profitable herd.
She promises the hospital administrator a quick answer regarding whether she can promptly increase the milk supply before taking leave.
On the drive back, Louane asks Guéna?lle if she would be interested in switching to a full-time role—an offer Guéna?lle readily accepts.
This will allow her to expand her service area and find new clients more easily.
To help Guéna?lle settle into the position, Louane tasks her with calling Anne Le Mo?lle the very next day to confirm that delivery volumes can be increased.
Louane plans to get through the winter this way, supporting Guéna?lle’s ramp-up in activity alongside the arrival of new cows for her herd.
In the weeks that follow, Nolwenn continues its recruitment of couples in need of calves.
A good part of the herd has been bred and six new cows are pregnant, Sarah, Anneliese, Isla, June, Harper and Maureen.
Despite the general performance of the Breton bulls, three of them required two coverings to be fertilized, Anneliese, Isla and June.
The pregnancies are closely monitored by Nolwenn and Louane and are going well.
Activity slows down a little in the heart of winter, but February is already upon us and Bixente indicates that the season on the Basque coast will begin quickly, he is back on the hunt.
New cows would be welcome because there are only three available for pregnancy and this reduced choice also reduces the opportunities for selling calves.
The only problem that worries Gwendal and Louane a little is Nolwenn's celibacy.
The three partners now know each other very well and were able to talk to each other about all subjects.
The couple thus understood that if Nolwenn was attracted to girls, she had difficulty accepting it and experiencing it through meetings.
However, even if Louane teases her a little sometimes, she has always been and remains very professional in the care given to the cows.
Gwendal recently opened up to Louane, telling her in substance that this must be a difficult situation for her, especially when she has very beautiful cows in front of her every day.
Louane approved and the couple finally decided to talk openly about it to Nolwenn.
This is the subject of the exchange today at the café.
Nolwenn: “It’s nice of you to care. It’s true that I have difficulty accepting this attraction to girls and that my practice in this area has not been very frequent in the past and non-existent at the moment to be very frank with you.”
Louane: “But it seems to me that you really have a weakness for Freja, no? ?
Nolwenn: “It’s true that I find her cute but I don’t confuse work with pleasure.”
Louane: “I grant you that and there is no subject on that but at the pace at which you work, you will have difficulty meeting people, plus we are in the countryside and not in Rennes where morals are certainly more open and the possibilities more numerous”.
Nolwenn can only agree, Louane continues.
Louane: “Freja is not pregnant and I think that this cow must be in need of breeding, jealous of her friends who saw the bull. Why don't you allow yourself to invite her to a little stay with you in the chalet? ?
Nolwenn: “I’m not sure she agrees.”
Louane: “I'm not sure that the other cows either, but a cow must be bred regularly regardless of its shape. Maybe she prefers your company to being held by a bull, it’s certainly worth a try.”
Nolwenn: “But we only have 3 cows left for pregnancy, including Freja”
Louane: "Look, since Gwendal and I are certain of the quality of your work—which speaks for itself—we figured there must be a reason why Freja hasn't been chosen yet. We think that Swedish breed might be a bit far removed from our Breton standards. Too blonde, eyes too blue.
Remember what our first couple, Quentin and Ma?lle, said? When they chose Alma, they literally told us that Freja was 'too pretty'."
Nolwenn: "That’s true, and I imagine they weren't the only ones who thought so, even if they didn't say it out loud. But you’d be giving me a real gift, because I’ve thought she was delightful from the very start."
Louane: "You’ve probably noticed that I usually leave it to you to change her diaper?"
Nolwenn: "Yes, I know."
