Blurb

Gwendal, a Breton roofer, and his partner Louane, a midwife, must take over Gwendal’s parents’ small farm following their sudden deaths.

At the same time, Louane loses her job when the maternity ward where she worked closes, and she struggles with the prospect of a meager existence on the farm.

After a trip to the beach, she suggests to Gwendal that they switch their type of livestock.

Out go the local dairy cows, replaced by new foreign breeds—German, English, and Irish.

These breeds are invading Breton beaches in ever-increasing numbers each year, driving away the locals.

The young couple devises an ingenious way to exploit these invasive species to produce milk that commands a far higher price than what Gwendal previously produced.

Their ambitions, however, do not stop there.

A novel for mature readers. Young women are abducted and integrated into a herd to be transformed into dairy cows. Human milking via milking machines and breeding until conception.
