Chapter 5
Sa'er himself had zero interest in it. He entered the cell, curled up, and went straight to sleep.
I left Dream-Eating Mo to watch him and returned to my own resting area.
At dawn, I was woken by a piercing alarm. On the way there, I heard that a monster had broken out.
Dream-Eating Mo returned to my side and spat out a Dream Bubble containing a dream.
I didn't have time to examine it carefully, so I put it away and headed straight for Sa'er's supervision room. It was empty.
He was gone.
Ten minutes later, I found him at the drainage outlet of the Supervision Office.
Several guards lay scattered around Sa'er. He was half-kneeling on the ground, confronting the remaining twenty or so men.
Blood flowed from his calf. His beautiful brows and eyes were filled with gloom.
"Who allowed you to shoot?"
The bullets carried by the guards were specially made. Wounds inflicted on monsters would not heal.
"Reporting to the Director, the patrol team discovered his escape and pursued him all the way here."
"Understood. Stand down."
After everyone left, I reached out to help him up.
