My dearest wife Indy,
How are you? I hope you’re doing well. We’re about to head out, but I wanted to write you a quick note. I won’t be able to send it out until I’m back later today. But I’ve been meaning to write this to you.
I’ve been dragging my feet on this since I saw you last March in person. The thing is, Indiana, I don’t think this is fake for me anymore. This is more than an agreement for me. Everything we’ve done is real. I want us to give this marriage a real shot.
I’ve thought a lot about this and after all the time we spent together that weekend, I just feel we need to give this marriage a go.
I’m not sure where things are going with me and the Army, but even if I continue forward, maybe we talk about it together.
The decision should be something we decide as a unit, because I don’t see a future without you by my side.
That being said, would you like to give this marriage the effort it deserves? I’m willing to be the partner you deserve. Being around you is effortless and I love everything about you.
Your letters have become my salvation on my hardest of days, I can’t imagine not having you in my life on my best days. That weekend, waking up with you in my arms was the best gift. I want this, Indy. Please tell me you feel the same way.
Georgie is calling for me. We’ve gotta do a patrol into town.
