Grandma’s Message from the Dream

When the wheat was not yet ripe, I dreamed of my grandmother Abigail Garcia telling me, "This fall, there will be a locust plague. Sell the family fields and switch to fish farming. That way, you can secure your income."

I convinced my parents, Roman Garcia and Layla Garcia, to harvest the wheat early and sell it, then flood the fields to raise fish.

But later, we faced a severe drought. All the fish were dried to death. Our family ended up in heavy debt.

Just when we didn’t know what to do, Abigail appeared in my dream again and told me, “Under the apple tree behind the old house, gold bars are buried. Exchange the gold bars for money to pay off the debt, and there will still be plenty left.”

I was determined to save Layla, so I threatened Everett with my life. He finally agreed to perform surgery on Layla.
