36. Chapter 36
Glenda
Pinkie brought me a tumbler of Crown, but I downed it in one gulp. It went down smooth but tingled a few seconds later. Putting my hand up, I told her, “I’m good. Thanks.”
“You guys should have seen it!” Allie was going on about how we snuck in and what happened.
Linny listened in awe and Pinkie drank her beer, nodding.
The room had cleared a decent bit. But my guess was most of the guys were patrolling or in the room with Leigh and them.
Pinkie also brought me some ice for my hand. My adrenaline was finally starting to drop. I could feel the pinch in my leg and my knuckles were throbbing.
“Such a baddie,” Allie said as she took a long draw from her beer.
“I’m glad you’re not dead!” Linny said.
“Yeah, maybe we didn’t plan that very well,” I chuckled as the liquor warmed my insides, loosening me up. I wasn’t much of a liquor drinker.
“If these assholes weren’t so secretive about everything, we wouldn’t have to sneak around,” Allie said.
We all got quiet. They had a code. And the code was for the brotherhood. As much as I hated it, I knew it was part of the life to keep women in the dark. Part of that was our own protection. But sometimes, it would save a lot of trouble if they just talked.
I could wallow over all the time I’d lost with Leigh. Over the fact I didn’t know that Reggie turned, and had not only disrespected me the ways I knew, but was hiding shit from me. Then to learn he was talking about me… to that whore?
But Lydia, or Lady, did me a favor. Reggie was a piece of shit, and I’d chosen to be ignorant to it.
What I did to her wasn’t about Reggie. It was about Leigh.
She could’ve had Reggie. Good riddance. But I’d be damned if she thought she was fucking up my real love and threatening my man. But that problem was dealt with.
“Hey, you ready?” Leigh asked from behind me.
He put his hand out, so I took it and stood. “Very.” Turning back to the table, I said, “Thanks for the ice. I’ll see you guys tomorrow unless I sleep this off.”
They all waved and I followed Leigh outside.
Looking around, I didn’t see his truck. “How are we getting home?”
“How you feel about some wind therapy?”
A huge smile spread over my face. “Really?”
He grabbed the pocket of the hoodie I’d finally put on while I waited around and jerked me closer. “Only if you think you’re up for it. I can figure something else out if–”
“No! I wanna ride. But where’s your bike?”
“Butterbean and Dega went to get it a while ago.”
Glancing around the lot, I finally saw his bike. I’d never been on it, and I was looking for the truck, not his bike so I overlooked it. “Well, let’s go!”
I grabbed his hand and practically dragged him to the Harley. Someone must have grabbed my helmet, because it was there, hanging off the handlebar with the purple stripe gleaming. He pulled it off and placed it on my head, then clasped it.
He grinned down, heat in his eyes. “Sexy.”
“C’mon, c’mon,” I urged him.
He threw his leg over the seat, then reached his hand out for me.
I climbed on behind him and he put his helmet on, then fired it up.
The roar of the engine vibrated through me and my eyes closed.
Just to be on the bike, knowing we were about to take off already had a sense of calm wrapping around me like a blanket.
He rolled us backwards enough so he could turn, then reached back and grabbed my hands. I tucked closer to him and clasped my hands together over his chest.
He pressed the throttle and we took off. I took a deep breath. The smell of asphalt, sand, and dirt was different on a bike than when you rolled a car window down. The cool air pressed against my arms, but my body was warm against him.
He reached down with one hand, squeezing my thigh. I wrapped my arms tighter around him, resting my helmet on his shoulder.
The ride wasn’t long to the house, but it was still amazing. When we pulled in, we were met with several members.
He had me wait while he spoke to them all briefly then grabbed my hand and led me upstairs. From what I overheard, they’d already swept the house, the yard, and let Bruce out back. And it wasn’t an easy task.
We made it upstairs, and Leigh pulled me against him, melting into me. “Goddamn, Glenda. I’m so glad you’re safe.”
“I’m fine. I’m right here.”
He squeezed me tighter. “If something happened to you…”
“Well, I wasn’t about to let something happen to you. Especially when I hadn’t told you I love you.”
He pulled back, still holding me. His dark eyes looked down at me questioningly. “Is that why you came?”
“Well, yeah.”
He crushed my lips with his. It was deep and frenzied. I tried to pull away when Bruce started scratching at the back door, but Leigh grabbed my thighs and picked me up before wrapping my legs around him.
I gripped his shoulders, giggling through the kisses as he hustled us both into the kitchen and opened the back door, then closed it once Bruce was inside.
After that, he bounded down the hall, not breaking our kiss until he dropped me onto the bed.
I yanked my hoodie off as I worked the shoes from my feet.
He pulled his cut off and hung it on the hook before he practically tore his clothes and boots off.
He went for the drawer but I stopped him as I pushed my pants and panties down my legs. “No, don’t.”
“What?”
I leaned up, grabbing his hard cock that was bouncing in front of me. “I have an IUD. My tests were all good. Weren’t yours?”
A rumble came from his chest. “Fuck, yes.”
He pushed me back onto the bed, crawling over me. I opened my legs to make space for him. He kissed me hard again, his fingers running through my pussy. “Goddamn, you’re so wet. Are you sure?”
Reaching between us, I said, “I killed a woman for you. Stop talking and fuck me already.” I guided him to my opening and he pressed himself in.
He growled as he slid inside, slow and torturous. “Glenda.” His voice was low and wobbly.
I pulled his face to mine, and he kissed me deeply. I pulled him deeper inside, wrapping my arms around him. I needed him closer.
He thrust hard but slow and rhythmically as we kissed.
This wasn’t just amazing sex. We’d had that lots of times.
This was different. More. It wasn’t just sensual, it was deeper.
Our chemistry had been there all along, but this was binding our connection.
I always thought it sounded cheesy when people said they became one, but that’s what this was.
He was mine, and I was his.
We kept going at the perfect, steady pace. My hips rocked with him as he drove himself deep inside. He had one hand on my hip, the other tucked under me, gripping my shoulder as he continued kissing me, thrusting over and over. Tickling warmth swept through my body.
Pressure built in my core and my fingers dug into his back. I mewled into his mouth as my channel pulsed around him.
He didn’t stop kissing me, but the kisses slowed and got sloppier as he grunted. After he took one last deep thrust, his cum filling me up, he finally pulled away and we both panted but didn’t move.
His forehead was against mine, and my eyes were closed.
On a ragged breath, he said, “Look at me, Glenda.”
I opened my eyes and his dark ones were looking back at me. He pulled back a few inches and my eyes adjusted.
“I love you. I want you to be mine.”
“I already am. I love you, Leigh.”
