Chapter 17
Chapter Seventeen
Jenna
I’ve been biting my tongue about why the men around me act like they saved the day, but this motherfucker snuck into my class. Put my girls in danger, and I haven’t unleashed half the pent-up rage I have coursing through my body yet.
I can not believe we’re back to the waiting game.
“Babe, let’s get you cleaned up.” I shake off his hand, pissed that Lawrence got away before I was done with him.
“I’m fine.” I hiss at Troy, but I must not be fooling anyone, ‘cause Spector’s men avert their eyes, but one of them whispers a warning.
“The fuck she is. Watch your six.”
I walk away from them all as the slight snickers turn to robust laughter. I slam my hand into the locker room door and kick my bag across the floor.
“Do we need to talk about this attitude, or should I just adjust it for you?” I whirl around on him.
“I had him pinned on the floor, helpless, and the moment I let him go into your men’s hands, he fucking escapes!
Now I’m back to looking over my shoulder, hoping he fucks up again so we can nab him.
I have every fucking right to be mad. So take your attitude adjustment and shove it up your ass!
” I heave in lungfuls of breath once I dispel the words filling my mind.
“Feel better?” I hate how calm he is right now.
“NO!” I scream, wanting to punch a wall, anything to stop the need to explode inside me.
“Good. Then I won’t feel bad for this later.” Troy grabs me and pushes me against the cold lockers, hard.
I hear my leggings rip, and then his fingers are plunging inside me.
“Get the fuck off me! Sex doesn’t fix everything.” I buck my hips back, giving him better access, and he takes full advantage of me trying to stop him.
“Say that to me again once you’ve cum.” He bites my neck, lifting my right leg up so he can shove his cock inside my drenched entrance.
I moan at the fullness and arch my back to take more of him.
“Good girl. Take out all that anger on me.” He loosens his hold on my wrists, and I drop my leg, pushing him away.
I turn around to face him, wanting to hit and fuck him, so I decide to do both.
I shove him onto a bench and grab his cock, leading it back to my pussy so I can sit and ride him. I hold him down by the throat as I work out all my anger, all the aggression, all the need to keep control of my own life that seems to be floating away out of reach.
Troy lays under me and takes everything I give him and uses his hands to encourage me to do more.
He flips up my sports bra to suck my nipples whenever they graze his lips.
When my thighs start to shake, he takes my hips and pounds me down on him, making me scream out his name as I cum.
His thumb finds my clit to rub it furiously to prolong the sensations, making me fall limp on his chest when they finally subside.
He just holds me as I cry softly into his chest, rubbing my back and kissing my face.
“Better?” he asks again with a knowing smirk on his face.
I should not give him the satisfaction of hearing me say yes.
“My turn.” He sits up and thrusts inside me hard.
He’s not gentle, soft, or any of the other things I’ve come to love from him. Right now, Troy is trying to prove a point, and I just look into his eyes as he uses my body exactly how he needs to. He’s searching for something inside me with a determination to seek and destroy.
“You are mine. Say it,” he growls the words in a tone that makes me shiver.
“Yours,” I agree as he bounces me even harder.
“Mine to protect, even from yourself, to love. Don’t you ever fucking forget it.” His hand slaps my ass, leaving a sting I know will bruise.
“FUCK!” he roars as he comes, holding me as close as he possibly can.
“I won’t forget,” I whisper after a few seconds.
“Troy?” He hums as he holds me.
“I love you, too.”
We shower before exiting the locker room. I have a change of clothes, but Troy ends up going commando, and the knowledge leaves me with a permanent grin on my face.
“Wiped the security feed but made a copy for you before deleting it.” Spector slaps a USB drive into Troy’s hand.
“You son of a bitch.” Spector raised his hands in the air, ready to defend himself.
“Didn’t watch.” I let out a breath as the tension between the two snaps.
“Didn’t have to. Heard it all loud and clear.” Spector turns away from us, and I cover my mouth to hide my laugh.
“Did he just really say that and walk away?” Troy asks me in disbelief.
I nod as the laughter bubbles over.
“I’m going to fuck him up. I swear to God he’s been asking for it for days,” Troy complains the whole way out into the alley.
“Ready to go home?” I nod, but then his words hit me as I put on my helmet.
When he asked about home, I didn’t think about my apartment. My mind immediately went to the suite we share in the clubhouse. I’ve started to get too comfortable, and when this is over, and it’s time for me to go back, how am I supposed to pick up my life where I left it?
The rise back is uneventful, and I’m glad because I don’t think I can take any more revelations tonight.
Troy notices my mood has changed but waits until we’re alone to say anything. The club had ordered in Chinese, and he fixed us both plates before we retreated to our suite to eat alone.
“Are you nervous about the party?” I stop playing with the noodles and put my chopsticks down to look at him.
“Yes, but that’s not it.” I’m not going to pretend I’m confused, ‘cause it’s not fair to him.
“Okay, so what is it?” He stops eating too, and I sigh.
“I love you.” He smiles and reaches for my hands.
“And I love you. Is that a problem?” I look at him like he’s crazy.
“Well, yeah. A big fucking one.” That gets his attention.
“How so?” Shit, where to fucking begin?
“Hell, pick a problem.” Troy’s eyes rise, and his face gets deadly serious.
“Wasn’t aware we had one.” He points between us, so I understand he means personally and not the shit show that is our life at the moment.
“No, we don’t, but—” he cuts me off.
“No buts. We don’t have a single fucking problem, so don’t create any.
Our love and what we do with it are between us and no one else.
All the outside drama is exactly that. OUTSIDE.
Love is not a clean, neatly packaged thing that you never have to work at.
It’s hard, complex, and needs constant tending.
But the minute you start adding issues that don’t belong between us, it will fall apart.
So, no buts. You and I are solid. We will build a life around our love that will make us both happy one day at a time.
” Talk about leaving a girl dumbfounded.
“Didn’t think I could be that profound, huh?” He picks up his fork and continues eating like what he just said didn’t just rewrite our futures.
I laugh and nod at him, grabbing my chopsticks ready to eat now that my stomach is no longer tied in knots.
“Never would have dreamed it,” I admit with a grin.
“Just you wait. I’ve got a lifetime of surprises in store for you.”
