Cheese Puffs
Cheese Puffs
These are delicious little bites of goodness. They are equally good served hot or at room temperature, so they are great to take to parties as they don’t have to be kept warm.
This recipe makes thirty puffs. If we go by what my Nana taught me, it is enough to feed ten people as on the average people eat three appetizers. If your family loves olives it might be more like a serving for two to three people.
ORIGINAL RECIPE
1 INGREDIENTS:
5-ounce jar of bacon/cheese spread (the kind that is on the shelf and comes in a jar)
4 TBSP butter
Dash Tabasco

? cup flour
30 stuffed green olives (not the jumbo ones)
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Blend Cheese and butter with seasonings and add flour.
Form dough around olives and roll into balls.
Bake for 15 minutes.
ALTERNATE RECIPE
INGREDIENTS:
⒈/⒋ lb shredded cheddar cheese
2 TBSP butter
⒈/⒉ cup flour
Dash Tabasco
25 stuffed green olives (not the jumbo ones)
DIRECTIONS:
Cream the cheese and butter, then blend in the flour and Tabasco.
Form dough around olives and roll into balls.
Bake for 15 minutes.
NOTES:
I’ve used both recipes, and both work well, though I might slightly like the first one more. It’s the easiest to blend and, in my opinion, to work with. They are great to have with drinks before dinner or to set out with appetizers at a party.
