Forever After

Calista

“You know this could’ve waited until next week,” Georgia says, sitting beside me at my vanity table.

I shove aside my scattered makeup and glance at her in my periphery. “No, I just wanted to get it done now. No need to have to make another trip here.”

Georgia softly touches the top of my hand, stopping me from jetting my signature across the paperwork.

“It’s over, Cali. You’ve been granted full permission from the United Alphas to be the Kismet Omega and proceed with your sterilization.

That’s not going to change how long you wait to sign these. ”

I exhale a sharp breath. “I just—I need it done. Now.”

She nods and motions to the documents. “Noted. Sign those two highlighted spots, and we’re finished.”

Gliding the pen over the paper, I smile as I draw my signature.

My heart flutters, my whole body tingling with a new lightness I’ve never experienced before.

It has always felt like the weight of the world crushed my shoulders, always trying to push me down, but now?

I’m free. I’m officially Pack Kismet’s omega and have been granted independence to make my own decisions, which is the first time ever for an omega.

“Great, that’s it. Now all you have to do is go out there and say your vows.

We can go over the restitution from Pack Daines some other time.

” Georgia slides the stack of papers into her purse and stands up.

She proffers her hand and helps me to my feet.

“I’m sure Misters Kismet are all anxiously awaiting outside the door. ”

She’s right. I can smell the collection of their delectable scents from here.

I laugh and nod, taking a moment to peer into the mirror one more time. The flowing baby blue dress I picked from Mom’s closet fits perfectly. This is my way of having her with me in a moment neither of us could’ve predicted would come. If only she could see me. See how happy I am.

“Gorgeous,” Georgia chimes, giving me a long look. “Simply gorgeous.”

I smile and let her lead me to my suite door, where Nolan opens it before we even make it within a foot.

“Congratulations, Pack Kismet. I heard the news from my friend serving as a United Alpha Rep. It was well deserved.” Georgia slides past my three alphas and into the hallway.

“Thank you. We hope to make a positive change,” Nolan says, letting Georgia past him.

“You will. I’m sure of it.” Georgia offers another smile. “Now see you all in a bit. Enjoy this quiet moment while you can.”

Lucas and Jensen wait until Georgia disappears down the staircase to join Nolan in circling me, using their bodies to cage me in. I relax my shoulders at their closeness and savor their scents and palpable emotions crashing around me.

Silence hangs between us, the moment helping us collect ourselves.

This isn’t only our bonding ceremony. It’s also our announcement that the United Alphas have granted the expansion of Pack Kismet into an Omega Resort far bigger than the one I came from in Nevada.

We will now be a safe haven for all omegas who want independence to figure out what they want in life—whether it’s freedom from their packs to find their own love to omegas who want a different life completely.

And the best part?

We’ve chosen to accept omegas without a huge fee. Our sanctuary will not be run for profit. It’ll truly be a safe place for all.

I almost don’t believe it.

Pushing the negative thought away, I finally get myself together and lift my head to meet Nolan’s eyes first. I turn to Jensen next and then Lucas, giving each of them a moment to savor my attention.

“I’m ready if you are,” I say.

Lucas slides his arms around me, pulling me from between them. “I’ve been ready.”

“Me fucking too,” Nolan adds, sandwiching me to his brother.

Jensen breaks between them to kiss my cheek. “Hell yeah. Let’s go.”

Picking me up, Jensen carries me like the blushing omega I am, not letting my feet touch the floor until we come to the glass door with a view of the floral-decorated terrace with a view of Poppy Cove below.

The salty air engulfs me in a fresh wave, blowing my curled tresses like a whispered kiss.

If my alphas didn’t ground me, I would float away on the joy lifting my spirit.

A piano plays a slow melody, drawing my attention to the crowd seated on white fabric-covered chairs with chains of colorful floral garland in shades of pastels.

Hydrangeas hang from arches behind a small white platform, the perfect backdrop for the occasion.

I love the soft colors of the floral arrangements lining the aisle waiting for me.

“Please rise for your leaders of Pack Kismet,” Georgia says, standing on the platform at the end of the aisle. I thought it most fitting to have the woman who helped me through all the legality be the one to officiate our vows. I’m just so happy she agreed.

Nolan leads us with me between Jensen and Lucas past the crowd of mostly unfamiliar faces. I know many have come from outside of Poppy Cove to watch our ceremony, but a part of me wishes it were intimate with only those I know by name.

But I’ll get used to it.

I’m no longer the choiceless omega who had to fight against doing what she was told almost her entire adult life. I’m now in a position of power. A position to create a future better than the past I ran from. The past I never have to worry about again.

“Please be seated,” Georgia begins, facing the crowd while Jensen, Nolan, and Lucas all stare at me.

“We are gathered here today to bear witness to a monumental occasion, the bonding of the Kismet Alphas with the Kismet Omega, solidifying the strength and power passed down through the great late Henry and Jessica Kismet.”

My heart aches for a split second, hearing my mom’s name.

Nolan reaches out and takes my hand, squeezing it gently. I smile at him, tuning out Georgia’s speech as she recognizes a few things about Pack Kismet. None of that matters in this moment. The most important things in the world stand before me.

“Now, Nolan, Jensen, and Lucas Kismet, please recite your vows in front of the power of the United Alphas and your beautiful, blessed omega Calista Kismet.” Georgia’s statement reminds me that the world still spins outside us, and we’re at its center.

“I, Nolan, promise a lifetime of happiness, peace, and passion to my beautiful omega. Cali, I vow to always put us first and foremost, because together, we are the foundation of the incredible life we will create.”

“I, Jensen, assure an eternity of pleasure, good times, and companionship without jealousy or any of that other stuff that could steal your smile.”

I giggle at his words, knowing he truly means them.

Jensen grins. “I also vow to keep my brothers in check and assure you are fulfilled in every way imaginable.”

I turn to Lucas next and take his hand.

“I, Lucas, swear to protect and cherish you, Lis. I vow to always look after you and fight for you. I promise to respect you, love you, and grant every one of your desires—in life and between us. You are our everything. Our bond can never be broken.”

“Do you accept your alphas’ vows and agree to this bond that will last beyond a lifetime, through the positive times and peril. Through thick and thin. From now and forever more?”

I nod my head. “I do.”

“Now please state your vows to your alphas,” Georgia says.

I lick my lips and let Lucas and Jensen hold one of my hands together and Nolan the other.

“I, Cali, promise to stand beside you as my pack. I vow to treat you equally with endless love, hope, faith, and ecstasy beyond your wildest fantasies,” I whisper, my cheeks blushing with the last words.

“I will always take care of your needs, mutually respect your wishes, and support your leadership with the same grace and devotion you always carry. I love you with every fiber of my being, and I swear on the universe that will never change. You’re mine. All of you are mine.”

Lucas releases a small growl of appreciation, making me smile wider. Staring at the three men who have chosen me, protected me, and have made me their world helps me forget everyone outside of us. I’ve never felt so powerful in my life.

“Kismet alphas, do you accept your omega’s vows and agree to this bond that will last beyond a lifetime, through the positive times and peril. Through thick and thin. From now and forever more?” Georgia asks.

“I do,” the three of them say in unison.

Georgia raises her arms. “By the power vested in me, I proudly announce the union and bond of Nolan, Jensen, and Lucas to Cali. You may now kiss the omega.”

A whirlwind of scents cascade over me, and the crowd’s thunderous cheers circle the four of us.

Nolan scoops me up first and kisses me with enough passion to steal my breath.

Jensen captures my mouth next, his tongue soft and purposeful like his vow, reminding me of every sexy moment we’ve spent together.

Lucas spins and lifts me off my feet, resting his forehead to mine as he kisses me, his love helping me breathe again.

The excitement of the moment sends electricity to my core, and I revel in our new life.

“You’re the best thing to ever happen to us,” Lucas murmurs, carrying me away from the podium with Nolan and Jensen on each of our sides.

“Our irresistible omega. Our perfect woman,” Nolan adds.

“I love you so damn much, butterfly.” Jensen kisses me again, forcing Lucas to stop just inside.

“I love you guys more than you know. More than anything. This is everything I could ever imagine.” I motion for them to hug me between them. “It’s almost hard to believe it’s real.”

“Believe it, Cali. This is our life now. Our pack. Our home,” Nolan says, kissing me.

I blink my happy tears away. “Forever.”

Lucas hums his agreement. “Even longer than that.”
