Chapter Five Lash

I don’t know how long I’ve sat here with Sophie in my arms, but she finally cried herself to sleep.

I know she’s been holding all that in, trying to be brave for everyone and she needed to get it out.

Despite her not wanting me to be right now, I’m her safe space.

She’s always been tough for everyone, except for a select few people.

She doesn’t want anyone to worry about her.

Luca has always been one of those safe spaces for her, but right now she doesn’t want any of us to be.

Her daddy is the other one, but I think she is more angry at him than she is anyone else.

She wanted him to end this stuff sooner and he didn’t.

She thinks that cost her her mama. I know Bulldog is crushed, Sophie and him have always had a very special bond.

I know he loves all his kids, but Sophie and him have always been the closest.

So he is feeling a very big loss all around with Sophie not talking to him.

Also now navigating being a single dad raising two kids.

I look over at the clock on the nightstand and I need to leave, so I carefully maneuver myself out from the bed and place my pillow behind her back.

Then grab her body pillow and place it in front of her to cuddle with if she wants.

I then go to her studio to grab my clothes, wallet, keys and phone.

I figure while I’m here I can grab a change of clothes so I can leave my shirt for her to wear.

I feel like she’ll need the extra comfort right now.

I know she’s going to be worried about everyone that’s going out tonight.

After getting my change of clothes on and putting my jeans in the hamper and leaving my shirt on the chair by the closet, I go and grab a piece of paper and a pen to leave my beautiful girl a message before I head out and text the men I want with her.

Sweet Girl,

I had to head out to go meet up with everyone at the clubhouse.

I hope you get a few more hours of sleep.

When you get up I left my shirt on the chair for you, you better put that on.

Don’t need Savage and Blade seeing what is mine.

They will be here when you wake up and will be staying with you until they get word to bring you up to the hospital.

I love you with my whole heart, baby. Make sure you get some food in you when you wake up.

Maybe text a couple of your siblings. Doesn’t have to be the boys in the club, but maybe text, Davis, Tillie, Peyton and Parker.

I place the note on the nightstand by her phone and pull my phone out as I head out. Being VP has it’s privileges like I can get these fuckers here in no time. I mean it shouldn’t take them long anyway even if we are at the back of the club property.

Me: brothers, I’m going to need you to head to my house and sit with my wife. Stay in the living room or kitchen.

Savage: We are on Sophie duty tonight?

Me: yeah need to make sure you guys make sure nothing happens to her or my baby. Also get her to the hospital when I call. She’s going to be a wreck.

Blade: got it VP.

After messaging them I probably should let Luca know that I’ve secured those two for his little sister.

Me. Pres, got Blade and Savage on Soph tonight. They are heading there now. Are the other brothers here yet?

Luca: Grim and Riot are here and ready to go.

They’ve brought Reaper, Rogue, Ravage, Blaze and Inferno.

They want to get those kids back, they are family of the Rebels too.

They of course brought more of their men with them.

Left the Valkyrie and the other woman at their clubhouse to hold down the fort.

Is Sophie okay? I know you were going over there to talk with her about some shit, you’ve been gone awhile man.

I’m assuming that’s a good thing. I know you want your family back and I want my sister back.

Me: she’ll be okay once we get Dallas and Dash home. We are going to work on everything. She finally gave into some of her pain while I was there. So we are going to get her some counseling. Are any of the other charters here yet?

Luca: Well I’m glad you guys spent some time together and talked.

I’m really glad that you were able to help her relieve some of that pain.

So like I said Grim, Reaper, Rogue, Ravage, Riot, Inferno and Blaze are here.

More of the Untamed that are here are Hawk, Tank, Ward, Maverick and Ghost.

Then from Chaos Devil’s Hollow we’ve got Judge, Scrap, Iron, Rage, Slate, Wrecker, Switch and Breaker.

Burnt Mills we’ve got Sentinel, Torch, Ash, Snag, Lockjaw, Roadie, Speed, Grip, Pulse, and Blaze.

Devil’s Gate we’ve got Rook, Burn, Flame, Skip, Spade, Cage, Wire, Clutch, Snaps, Razor, Throttle, and Ruin.

Ironcross, we’ve got Rebar, Torque, Fury, Pulse, Diesel, Bruise, Rott, Tug, Fuse, Grudge, Snag, Grin and Hex.

Get to the clubhouse so we can go over the game plan.

I’ve got Wizard getting a look at how many men are at which places.

Me: On my way.

I put my phone away and head to the door.

As I open the door I see my woman’s protectors for the night.

Savage and Blade are walking up the steps.

I thank them and slap them on the back as I head to my truck.

I left my bike at the clubhouse because I didn’t want her to know that I was headed here.

We’ve got a few hours to get everything set up and scouted before we hit these houses.

We’ve got some of our men staked out already watching to make sure that no one moves from the homes.

When I pull up to the clubhouse and walk inside there are more men in here than I have ever seen before.

We’ve basically kicked out all the whores for the day.

None of them knew we were planning on having anyone here, they are being made to stay in town today.

We told them we were renovating. There is a mole or two in our house and we are very sure that it is at least one of the whores.

I spot all Sophie’s brothers and her dad standing by her uncles talking so I head over there.

Dad is currently at home with mama because they are keeping my kids safe.

I believe they have a few more brothers watching their house.

As I walk up they all look over, Bulldog looks ready to go and if you look deep into those hazel eyes of his you can see the pain hidden behind his eyes.

“How’s my girl?” he asks me as I walk up to him.

“Well she’s not great. She’s ready to get her babies back that’s for sure. She’s dealing with a lot of emotions and a lot of stuff I wasn’t even sure she was dealing with. She did let some of it out earlier while I was there. She’s got so much on her plate.

I did tell her to reach out to everyone so that we can grieve together and get through as a family. I am not sure if she will listen to me or not. I did fill her in on everything that is going to go down tonight and she just wants this all to be over.

We talked and we are going to get her into some counseling. As well as all the kids because they’ve all been through a lot, especially Dallas and Dash.”

Everyone nods their head and Luca tells everyone we are going to go through the plans out here in the common room since it is only the brothers here.

We set up five separate teams; the team that I am on is heading to the house where the kids are being kept, then the other four teams are going to be hitting one other safe house and three warehouses.

We are taking vans to keep a low profile.

We are hoping that we can get the whole club when we get there.

The last we heard there are only a couple brothers at the house that the kids are being kept.

So we are taking a smaller group than the other groups.

We are going to take them out, if we can capture a couple of them we are going to be doing that.

We need to know what their plans are and why the hell these fuckers are coming after our club and in our territory when we have been here going on third generation right now.

As we are getting ready to load up around 10 pm, my phone beeps. I pull it out and see that it is the big family group chat that includes pretty much everyone in Sophie’s family.

Sophie: Be careful, all of you. I love you. Bring my babies home and bring yourselves home with them. Make those fuckers pay for mama.

I look over at Bulldog and he’s got tears in his eyes.

He looks up at me, Luca, Grim, and Reaper who are all that is heading out in our group.

“You heard my girl. Let’s head out and make those fuckers pay. Let’s get my grandbabies back.”

We slap his back and head into the van that Thorn is driving.

I feel my phone buzz again, I look down at it as the other brothers get situated in the van.

Bulldog: I love you, baby girl. I’m going to get your babies back for you. I’m going to destroy the fuckers that took your mama. See you when we get back. I miss you, sweetheart.

I put my phone away and get ready to head out.

As we pull up towards the gates I watch as the other four vans head out in different directions.

Tonight we are going to hopefully put an end to all of this bullshit and this threat to the club.

I am about to lay eyes on my kids for the first time in four months and I cannot settle down.

The house that we are headed to is about an hour and a half out of town.

Hopefully what our guy at this house told us is correct and there are only a couple of men there.

I don’t want Bulldog to go off because we need to get information from these men.

I think our game plan is to capture the men at this house, so we can interrogate them.

I plan on getting my kids and getting them out of there.

If I know anything about these two despite being four, it is that they are really brave.

Dallas is a sassy little princess and she does not let anything get to her.

Dash is a protector. I swear they better not have done anything to those babies or I will lose my shit and blow everything up.

I am going to hunt every last person down who had anything to do with this.

The people who are going to sell my kids if we didn’t give into their demands, they are going to learn not to fucking mess with Devil’s Chaos.
