Sunday sucked. I crawled into my bed when I got home, and laid there as long as I could.
Replaying every moment with Tyson. He was too good to be true.
I checked my phone once more before plugging it in and going to bed.
He didn’t call me or text me and honestly I deserved that.
Monday needed to come quicker. I needed to get out of my head.
“You did what!” Sophia threw the pillow that was on the couch in my office right at my face. I caught it and threw it back.
“I just left. I couldn’t do it again. I couldn’t be let down. Again. Soph, I’m fucked up. I know.” If she kept yelling, Marigold, one of the other editors would come in.
“He wasn't and isn’t that dickhead you were with before.” She leaned forward, putting the pillow behind her. “C’mon call him. Call Tyson.” She swooned. “Call Mr. Pierced cock and tell him you're sorry for being a sad flaky bitch.”
“Okayyyy! Enough.” I put my hand up. “Please know you're only allowed to talk to me like that because you're my best friend.” I shook my hair out. “How do I get Mr. Pierced cock back?”
“Yes!” Sophia jumped up and ran around my desk. “First, go to this gym of his.”
“And…” That was looking to be the easy part.
“Flaunt your beautiful curves and hopefully he hasn’t moved on.” She said that it would be a breeze.
“WOW thanks for that.” I pushed my chair back. “Where is his gym?”
“Conveniently half an hour away.” She slid an address towards me. Convenient…right.
I did a double take. She meant half an hour towards my house as it was near where I lived.
Of fucking course it was. “Hold on, that’s down the road from my house.
” I leaned in closer. I could easily cross paths with him again which would be mortifying.
That’s what I get for not asking more questions.
“So…are you going to talk to Tyson McNally the MMA fighter again?”
My computer dinged and I grinned. “Oh look, a meeting with Mari, see you later.” I clicked on the link and her video popped. Sophia flipped me off on the way out.
