Chapter 40
The rain was coming down so hard that I was scared to get out of my car.
I shouldn’t have even been my ass here but I was and I was curious to know what tonight was going to hold.
Summer was holding on to the baby and we only had seven weeks left before they decided to either let her go into labor or induce.
The light from the garage door caught my attention and then a text came through my phone telling me to park my car in the garage so I wouldn’t get wet.
I told myself that I wasn’t going to do this but my needs weren’t being met by Summer because of her condition.
It wasn’t a good thing but I came back to the person that could satisfy them without opening her mouth about it.
This was my second time coming over this week, and tonight was going to be my last. After I got what I needed from her, I would be able to hold off and wait for Summer to give birth.
LJ had completely stopped fucking with me when I told him I was sleeping with Pinkie again.
He tried to talk me out of it but he was getting his needs taken care of by his baby mama.
My girl was always sick. So, I had a decision to make.
“I’m glad you decided to come when it was raining. I hate thunderstorms,” Pinkie stated.
This muthafucka knew just how to work her magic.
Before I could get in the house, my dick was hard from what she was wearing.
She had this long ass pink and blonde hair flowing down to the top of her ass.
The lingerie she was wore was barely covering her body.
Her nipples were out. Her ass was out. Hell, even her pussy was out.
Sade played from the speakers as we walked into the house from the garage.
Candles were lit and the aroma of incense and perfume filled the house.
Pinkie had it laid out like she was serving a king.
This is why it was hard to just leave her alone.
The sex was great, she was a boss, and she knew how to keep her mouth shut.
“Are you hungry?”
“No, I ate with Summer.”
“This is my time, right?” She spun around on her heels and handed me a glass of Hennessy. She knew that was my favorite drink to get me to loosen up. I gulped it down and she poured me another glass.
“What you mean?” I asked her.
“I mean, when you’re here, it’s my time. Right?”
“I guess so, why?”
“Because you mentioned your girl’s name during my time. We agreed that you wouldn’t do that. When you here, you’re single.”
“We ain’t agreed to shit, but you to handle my needs and shut your damn mouth.”
“I’ll shut the fuck up about us, but when you’re in my house, don’t bring her up and you’ll get whatever you want from me.”
Pinkie started pulling on my pants. Physically, she looked good but she damn sure wasn’t my type.
Something hit me out of nowhere. The feeling was the same feeling I had when I was at the restaurant with her.
This time it was worse. My heart started having palpitations and my breath was becoming short.
“Stop! Pinkie, stop.” I warned her before I grabbed my chest. “Something’s wrong. I’m not sure what the hell is wrong with me.”
“Come and sit down.” She helped me towards the chair.
“My fucking chest is hurting.”
Pinkie ran to get something cool for me to drink. The sweat was starting to drip down my face. My shirt was starting to stick to me, and my left arm went numb.
“I’m calling 911, Law. You don’t look too hot.” She poured the rest of glass out as she was on the phone giving them her address. She was cleaning like she had something to hide. I was too weak to do anything.
There was no need for me to stop her because she was already on the phone with them. How was I going to explain my whereabouts when Summer found out I rode in an ambulance from this bitch house.
“Here, call my mama and tell her to meet me at the hospital.” I gave Pinkie my phone.
Ten minutes later, I was rolled on the back of an EMT at the brink of cardiac arrest. I had indeed had a heart attack. My energy was completely gone and all I could do was lay there as they started the IV and asked questions.
When they opened the back of the ambulance door my mama was standing there waiting and so was Pinkie. I didn’t have the energy to say anything to her but I was sure my mama was going to get her ass together for me.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” My mama asked.
I was finally able to get one visitor in ICU and it was her. Her face was red and she was pacing like she was nervous and upset.
“Mama,” I weakly said.
“Law, don’t mama me. Do you know how this looks? Oh, and by the way, your pregnant fiancé is waiting to see you. Are you going to tell her that your side bitch is downstairs waiting to see how you are doing as well?”
“Why you didn’t make her leave?”
“Make her leave? That’s your problem, not mine.
You had no damn business over there and that’s why you suffered that heart attack.
It could’ve been worse. When are you going to grow the hell up?
A baby on the way, a woman that owns her own business and y’all building.
What is your problem that you can’t be with just one woman? ”
“I tried. This was it for me. This is not how I raised your ass. I’m disgusted with you. I could’ve lost you, you selfish son of a bitch. Do you care about anyone else besides yourself?”
“I care, mama.” My mama put her hand up and walked out the door.
The nurse rolled Summer into the room and left us alone.
Watching her struggle to get out of the wheelchair to get to me broke my heart.
I was a no-good ass nigga, and she deserved way better than me.
After getting in her ass about that nigga being in her room, here I laid, ready to lie to her when she probably already knew the truth.
She didn’t need me. She needed a real man that would love her and only her.
Summer’s hair was braided back away from her face, showing her pregnant glow.
Her skin was free of any blemishes. I gave her a faint smile so she could come closer.
All the tubes and shit they had hooked up to me scared her.
As long as we been together, I was always healthy.
She looked at me like she knew something that I didn’t. Summer always knew. Who was I fooling?
