Chapter 5 The Painful Reminder

Pei Sijin's face changed instantly.

After a good while, he squeezed out a sentence through his teeth.

"Song Zhiyuan, I'm giving you one chance. Take back what you just said."

I smiled.

"How is it not disgusting? Do you think it's decent for one adult man to buckle the underwear of another adult woman?"

Pei Sijin looked at me deeply.

"Every time we fight, you never look for the reason in yourself."

"Don't tell me you don't know how ugly the words coming out of your mouth are."

"Have you forgotten how you cried to me the year your dad passed away, saying how much you regretted..."

"Pei Sijin!"

I turned completely cold.

My dad had died in an accident.

That day, he had argued with me a few words before heading out. Five hours later, an air disaster struck during his business trip, leaving no body behind.

I had always regretted arguing with him that morning and not seeing him off properly.

But I never expected Pei Sijin, who clearly knew my pain, would still choose to use it to hurt me.

Seeing my emotions spiral out of control, Pei Sijin looked like he had said the wrong thing.

He opened his mouth.

I ignored him completely.

I left the changing room and spent a long time calming myself down.

I played the game absentmindedly.

Until I heard bursts of cheering and booing, I realized that in the next part of the plot, Su Yu was supposed to call me out as the mistress.

The DM told Su Yu to just go easy on it.

But Su Yu refused. "Isn't the point of playing the game to go all out? If you're acting, you have to make it real."

As soon as she finished speaking, she pulled out a large cup of water from somewhere and splashed it right at me.
