Chapter 11 /Edited
After Eric texted me yesterday that I should come over.
I was ecstatic. I also kept wondering who I was meeting.
I didn't know what to wear and it was seven thirty.
I was panicking. I don't know why I was worried about what I was going to wear.
I never do. Maybe it because I keep thinking he wants to introduce me to the pack.
I heard a car pull up and look out the window to see Eric. He knocked on the door and I think my mom opened for him. I heard them talking but I couldnt hear what they were saying. I heard footsteps coming towards my room then a knock on my door.
I was still in my pjs and I opened the door. Eric smiled at me and I looked behind him to see my mom give me a thumbs up and ran back downstairs. "Hi Eric." I said.
"Why are you still in your pj's?" He asked. I smiled and pulled him into my room, closing the door behind him. He looked at my bed then back at me.
"I don't know what to wear." I said. He looked at me weirdly then laughed.
"You don't know what to wear." He continued to laugh. I hated being laughed at.
"Yes. Especially since you said I was going to meet someone. I kept thinking its the pack or your parents so I panicked." I said. He fell silent and looked out my window. "I am meeting the pack. Am I?" I asked.
"And my parents." He said. I threw myself on my bed and screamed into my pillow.
"What am I supposed to wear?" I asked him. He looked at the clothes on my bed then walked into my closet.
I followed him as he looked around. He took a pair of jeans and my favourite blue shirt with my blue jacket. "There. Wear that." He said and handed me my clothing.
He stood ther like he expected me to change in front of him. "Out." I said and he walked out. I closed my closet door and put on my outfit and my black nikes.
I opened the closet and walked out and Eric walked to me. "See. It wasnt that hard to pick out clothing." He said. I rolled my eyes and he gave me a quick kiss on the lips. "Lets go." He said.
We went downstairs and and said bye to my mom. We got into his BMW and he drove off. "So...how is this going to work?" I asked.
"We are first going to meet my parents." He said.
I looked out the window as the trees zoomed pass us. "Do you think they'll like me?" I asked. He started to chuckle.
"Yesterday my mom slapped me on the head because I didnt tell her about you." He said.
I couldn't help but laugh. His mom soumds like a nice lady. "Well then. Im sure she will like me then." I said. We pulled up at the pack house and I was too nervous to get out. Eric took my hand and I looked at me.
"Don't be nervous. They can sense it." He said.
"How does that help?" I asked. I started to freak out.
"Take a deep breath and calm down." Eric said. I took a deep breath and relaxed.
"Ok." I said and got out of the car.
Eric walked next to me and held my hand. We went inside the house and into their living room. There stood a woman with light brown hair and emerald green eyes.
She smiled at me and looked at Eric then back at me. "Mom. This is Blake. Blake this is my mom. Julie Daniels." He introduced us to each other.
"Its nice to meet you Mrs Daniels." I said.
"Its a pleasure meeting you too Blake. I just wish it could've been sooner." She said and glared at Eric like he murdered someone. I smiled and Eric avoided looking at his mom.
"Eric did want to keep me safe and I wasn't ready to interact with wolves once I found out." I said
"Have a seat." She said as she gestured to the couch and we sat down. We talked for a bit when I guy who looked like the older version of Eric and a girl who looked younger then me. She had black hair and green eyes.
"Dad. Penny. This is Blake. My mate." He introduced. "Blake this is my dad, Casey Daniels and my sister Penelope." He said. I smiled and Penelope smiled back. Mr Daniels didn't look happy.
"Eric. She's human." He pointed out.
"I know dad. There is nothing wrong about it. Most hybrids always have human mates." Eric said. Mr Daniels eyes turned a brighter green and he growled. Mrs Daniels went to calm him down but it didn't work.
"She wont be strong enough for the pack." Mr Daniels said. He got more mad and I got scared. No. This isn't the time to get scared.
"Casey calm down. Blake is sweet and strong in her own way. You should be happy for your son." Mrs daniels said.
"Dont tell me to calm down." Mr Daniels said.
"Dad stop or your going to shift." Penelope said. He got mad and I heard bones starting to snap. Why did Mr Daniels have such a short temper?
"Eric get her out of here." Mrs Daniels said.
Eric took my hand and lead me outside. I looked back and a dark grey wolf bursted out of the house. Eric and I ran into the forest, trying to loose Mr Daniels but he was behind us. As we ran I tripped and Mr Daniels was standing right in front of me.
He bared his teeth at me and I moved back. I heard another growl come from behind me. I looked to see a wolf as dark as the night. His fur was black and so was his eyes. He went after Mr Daniels and they fought.
I felt someone touch my arm and it was Gabriel. "Get on my back." He said and shifted into a dark brown wolf. I climbed on his back and he ran off. We lost Eric and his dad but I didn't know where Gabriel was taking me.
We stopped at a small cabin and I got off Gabriels back. He ran back in the direction of Eric and I was alone. I sat on a step and waited for someone. I took a deep breath and went inside the cabin.
I looked for more books on hybrids. I found a book and skimmed through the pages.
I landed on a page about hybrids temper.
It said that a hybrid who was mated with a wolf and has an hybrid offspring teach them to be like them.
If their mates happen to be human the father hybrid wouldn't like it at first cause the hybrid secret will be known to more humans if the human mate doesn't want to be involved.
The father hybrid will only approve of the human mate if they can stand up to them. Time to put my stubbornness to good use. I ran out the door and towards Eric and the others.
When I got there Gabriel, Nate and some other wolves were injured and Eric was still fighting his dad. Ok. Time to be brave and stubborn. I went closer to them but Nate manage to block my path.
"Nate move." I said but he didn't budge. "Nate if you don't move I will find a way past you. Get out of my way!" I demanded. He moved to the side but stayed behind me. Mr Daniels looked at me and growled.
Eric looked like he hurt his leg and winced in pain. His wound probably didn't heal completely yey. I looked at Mr Daniels as we walked closer. "Im not scared of you." I said. He walked closer and bared his teeth. Time to be stubborn.
"Show me your teeth what is that going to do? You think humans aren't strong because werewolve are born stronger than us. I dont care what you think about me. Just stop acting like an asshole and just have a normal conversation with me."
He growled and I could feel everyone staring at me.
Mr Daniels still wasn't listen and I started to get annoyed now.
"Look asshat. I have had the worst couple of months of my life.
My friends turned out to be werewolves. Everything that I believed was a myth is real.
A hybrid is my mate and I feel like my brain is going to explode with all the questions I have. "
He stopped growling and stared at me. "If you are a good father to your son and care about him, you would shift back into your human form and talk to him and me. Maybe even learn that Im not as weak as you think I am." I stated. He shifted back and he was in his underwear.
"Oh my god." I turned around and heard a lot of bones snapping. I think they all just shifted back.
"Blake." Eric tapped on my shoulder.
"No. I am not looking at any of you. Just take me back to your house." I said and grabbed his hand.
I covered my eyes with my other hand as he lead me back. I heard the others laugh as we left. We walked for a while then we stopped. "Can I open my eyes now?" I asked.
"Yes Blake." Mrs Daniels said.
I opened my eyes to see Mrs Daniels and Penelope with me outside. "Where's-"
"They went to get dressed." Penelope answered my obvious question. We went inside and sat in the living room.
Penelope got me some water and I drank from it. I placed it on the coffee table and waited for Eric. Eric walked in and I got up to hug him. "What were you thinking he could've hurt you?" He asked.
"What happened?" Mrs Daniels asked. We sat down and Eric told them everything. Thats when Mr Daniels walked in and sat next to Mrs Daniels. The room fell silent and I didn't like it. Before I could break the someone else did.
"Blake. Im sorry for my outburst. You were right when you said you are strong in your own way of course. I hope you can forgive me for my mistakes." He said. I smiled and thought about it.
"I forgive you Mr Daniels. I just acted more stubborn than you did." I said with a smile and They all laughed.
"Were you always this funny?" Eric asked. I hit him on the arm and they continued laughing.
"Don't be mean Eric." Penelope said.
"Its fine. Im actually the mean one." I said with a smile.
"So. When is the pack meeting Blake son?" Mr Daniels asked. Eric fell silent.
"Are you still scared?" I asked. We all stared at him and I smiled. "I'll take that as a yes. Eric if I can take on your father Im sure the pack would be a piece of cake." I said.
He smiled and nodded. "Your right. Lets do it tomorrow. I think you had enough excitement for today." Eric said and looked his father. "I'll take you home." He continued. We got up and I said my goodbyes to his family.
We got into the car and Eric drove me home. "Your family is amazing." I said. Eric chuckled.
"Your still better. Im pretty sure your more stubborn than my dad. How did you know what to do?" He asked
"When Gabriel took me away, he dropped me at a cabin. I found a book and it gave me the answer to my question. What to do when a hybrid father doesn't approve of his hybrid son's human mate." I said with a smile.
