Guerilla Gardener Strikes Again

In lighter news, the anonymous gardener has struck again, adding a border of bright blooms to the pothole outside the Rose & Wimple.
The flowers – a type of carnation never seen before – release a lovely fragrance that covers up the unfortunate smell of the stormwater work going on beside the village green.
Over the last few weeks, the Guerrilla Gardener has struck in several parts of the village, leaving behind blooms in the dead of night.
It’s a welcome distraction after the unsolved murders in the village, although law enforcement is concerned that the Guerilla Gardener’s night-time activities could turn malicious.
“The flowers may be pretty, but according to town ordinances, they’re technically graffiti,” says Inspector Haynes. “If the Guerilla Gardener is reading this, I suggest they confine their activities to their own allotment, lest they incur my wrath.”
