21. Chapter 15

Andrew

Pulling back up to the club, I slide my helmet off.

This whole day has been exhausting. Who is messing with our shipments?

Better yet, why are they doing it? The one thing I learned early on in life, is there’s always a reason for everything.

It’s always intentional and always to benefit themselves.

That drink Zach mentioned sounds like a great idea right about now.

I meet up with the guys at the bar, and I realize Kay isn't here.

“How did it go with getting Kay's stuff?” I ask Tommy. “If you mean a little backpack, full of a few tarnished things, then it went well. Plus, her dad wasn’t even there.” He shrugs nonchalantly.

“She did take a fall down the stairs. There are a couple of bruises, but nothing too bad.” He continues as he sips his drink.

“How did she fall down the stairs?” I immediately ask.

“I'm telling you, she's clumsy. We might as well bubble wrap her and lock her up in her room.” Tommy says, and I start laughing back at that comment.

“She is human, man. Don't be too hard on her, she can't help what she is.” Andrew says in response to my laughter.

“She's my mate, Andrew. Do you think I really care what she is?” I replied to him.

“Nah, but others are talking, wanting her out.

They don't like a human being within the ranks.” Andrew says before he takes a sip of his scotch.

“Great, how did I see this coming?” I say out loud.

“Zach also sent a little message, so stay prepared. I'm not sure who or what is coming next, but something seems off.” Mathew says, to keep me updated on the situation. The bartender slides over my Jack and coke as we’re talking.

“So, what's going on? Is Kay coming down?” I ask the group.

“She should be down any minute, man. She said she needed to get ready. You know women. This one is no exception.” Tommy answers, with a smirk on his face.
