“What is it, Dimples?” he asked, hurrying over to me. He palmed my face, staring into my eyes.
My heart beat a mile a minute. I needed space. Whenever he was close, the ability to think disappeared. I took a shaky step back from him. He frowned, tilting his head to the side.
“Are you sure this is what you want?” My voice trembled, and my lips wobbled. I felt like I was about to break down. If he said no, I would be crushed.
