Hank came in to do his nightly check on me, and I lunged for his waist the second he came in, scratching my daggering nails into his flesh.
I wanted this to look as real as possible, which meant doing it.
His black licorice smell hit me as I snarled.
All the rage I felt for him unleashed in that single moment as he shrilled.
He kicked me down and held me in place to force himself on me.
I kept my fist closed as he did his dirty act for his memory to remember that I could’ve taken the key.
“You fucking bitch. You think that would be enough to stop me from doing this?” Showing me his hard cock, I had to remember it’d be the last time he’d do this.
It was the final fucking I’d have to endure while here.
Not saying anything, he smirked down at me as though I serviced him already. “I like when my bitch gets feisty.”
His bitch. I gritted my teeth and bore through the pain of him grating his dick over my stitches.
Hopefully, nothing ripped open during this brutal fucking he gave me.
Closing my eyes, I kept thinking about having my fist above my head with it shut.
He probably thought it meant solidarity to my virtue, but it was to play him the fool later.
He released already; the one perk about this loser.
He didn’t know how to last longer than a few minutes.
No wonder he never found someone, turning into the psycho he was.
I imagined he’d been rejected too many times and flipped his crazy switch.
Making sure every last drip made it inside of me, he quickly stood up and buckled his flaccid dick back into his pants.
This Beta scum could never knot in me like the Alpha’s Saul brought in.
***
“If it weren’t for the vagina between your legs, you’d have no use.
It’s good thing you learned to take a knot.
” Chuckling on his way out, it turned into a whistle.
That was my sign to begin because he wouldn’t come back for a few hours to give me more drugs.
Ignoring the gush of cum that came out when I sat up, I knew I didn’t have a minute to lose as I fished the key out from my bandage.
Undoing my ankle, I scurried to the window and quietly opened it far enough that it looked like I went through.
I had to think of all the possibilities, and I knew Hank wouldn’t look at the flooring if he noticed the window.
Part of me wanted to run right now, but I knew Damien’s plan held a better probability for my freedom to last.
Now that my body hurt again, I knew this next part would be tougher as I crawled back to the spot I had been in.
The floorboards below me weren’t giving way, so I used the key to help hoist the first one up.
After I got two out, I hurried to slink through them.
I hated how skinny I fell that let me fit with ease, but my health could be fixed once I was gone.
Underneath the house, I lied with rats and spiders, but I didn’t care.
I hurried to set the flooring back into place.
Holding my breath as I did so, I grew terrified someone might hear me.
My hands kept trembling until the last withered board clicked into the center of the two around it, and I sighed in relief.
With my heart nearly pounding out of my chest, I knew I couldn’t rest until the time came.
No sleep would find me now that the plan was in motion.
Nesting below the house, I coiled into a ball on the cold ground.
Being naked made it harder, but I knew I’d run naked through the streets of the city for everyone to see rather than spend another day here.
Shivering, I closed my eyes and thought of my fonder memories.
Though, they involved the men that left me so many months ago.
My mind left the thoughts of them, and I found Anika instead.
She was the one friend who would know something went wrong, but I was terrified of them getting her too.
My racing thoughts began to let panic set in.
What if something did happen to her? Shaking my head, I knew better than to put that energy into the universe.
Anika wasn’t weak like me. She stood as strong as an ox, and she had her brother to help protect her.
They’d be fine, and I’d find them once I got out of this hellhole.
The room to my door began to open, telling me Hank came in for his nightly check. This would usually be the time he fucked me, but I made him mad earlier. A pause settled before I heard him curse and run to the window. “She’s escaped!”
Good. He believed the window idea. Watching from above, I noticed more feet coming in from the light being turned on for once.
I could never reach the switch for them to isolate me even more.
Four pairs of boots were walking over the surface before they ran out to inform their boss.
They left the door open, so I could hear the rage now coming as Saul stormed into the room.
Somehow, I managed my timing just right because he berated the guard outside for falling asleep.
Sheer chaos ensued above me as all the men scurried to get outside.
Saul barked orders as all the trucks sounded their engines.
Some peeled out of the gravel, and I could hear it all from my claustrophobic hiding spot.
Waiting several minutes, the silence told me I’d be safe to leave.
I also knew I needed to give the drivers more time to exit the trailer park.
The time came to be brave, so I began moving the flooring to climb back inside.
With the house empty, I hurried out through the window just in case someone waited in the living area to be the standby person.
Everything hurt, and my muscles weren’t sure if they could support the motions I was doing to climb out, but I had to.
My heart broke when I stepped over the dead man who tried to help me, and the guilt of his death would riddle me sick forever.
He’d have to live through me, so it meant having to survive now. Somewhere deep inside me, my fight for survival kicked in, and I ran like hell the second my feet slammed against the ground.
The forest sat up ahead as I swung my arms at my sides to push me harder, one holding the screwdriver.
My breathing turned sporadic from the rush and terror filling me all at once, making my adrenaline a live wire.
Hurdling over the debris of the uneven ground, I wouldn’t stop until I made it.
Nothing would hunt me now that I was free because I refused to be their prey ever again.
Short-lived, someone managed to tackle me to the ground just as I made it over halfway to the meeting point.
A small shriek left my lips before the air was lost to my lungs from being knocked out of me.
I didn’t know who had me in the darkness, but I didn’t care as I rolled onto my belly to crawl away.
Their rough hands held me down as the larger frame came over top of me.
“You little bitch! You’re going to get me killed for pickpocketing me,” Hank growled. I recognized his voice right away without needing to see his face. His black licorice scent always drowned me when he found me in my dark room.
Wanting to give in from the trauma of my past experiences, this time would be different. It was only me and him, and I had a weapon. I had a way to overcome it all. Closing my eyes, I stopped fighting long enough for him to think he bested me. I whimpered to play along.
Right when he rolled me over onto my back, I plunged the screwdriver into the side of his neck just like Damien told me to.
I’d never forget this moment, taking my first life.
A sick satisfaction swept through me when I felt the metal tip drive through his meaty neck, loving how it felt to be the one controlling the weapon.
Having to get out from under his gurgling frame, I ripped the screwdriver out for him to stumble back onto his knees.
His blood spurted over me, but I didn’t care.
One of my enemies was gone as the light left his eyes.
As much as I wanted to watch his last breath depart, I had to run before another came.
Getting on my feet, I started my sprint all over again.
Today would mark the last day I felt this weak because I’d push myself to get stronger for Saul to never hurt me again.
My limbs wouldn’t burn with every step as though my muscles were going to snap.
Biting my cheek, I kept persevering to make it.
This wouldn’t be my end as I sampled Hank’s blood from licking my lips.
I’d be the predator, the hunter. I’d become who no one thought I could, and I’d slowly take them all out for hurting me like this. An Omega was precious and revered… I didn’t want to be that anymore. I’d become the thing that could rival them all. I’d make myself an Alpha they’d bow down to.
This new idea stuck with me as I made it to the walking path.
Stopping my run in the center of the track, I saw the headlights flashing up ahead, catching me in their brightness.
I knew I looked like a wild animal, but my savagery calmed down when they blinked their lights twice at me before rolling forward.
Damien.
I made it to him. Running toward him as he drove my way, I wanted to find safety faster than standing around and waiting. Opening the door, I climbed up to sit in his truck. When my body molded to the seat behind me, I tried catching my breath. My lungs burned, but I still breathed.
“Holy shit! It worked!” Damien’s hands were white knuckling the steering wheel.
Laughing during my huffs, I began to cry a little. Joy found me for the first time in years. “I literally owe you my life.”
“You owe me living your life,” he changed my wording.
Without saying anything else, I closed my door for him to get us out of here.
Moving his way, I nestled into his side with a whimper from the pain of my injuries.
Now that I wasn’t running for my life, I felt it all.
He began driving, but he was aware of my proximity to him.
Turning my head up, I knew this was going to sound horrible to him.
“Do you have any drugs? My body is killing me.”
He slowed as we rolled up to a stop light, glancing down at me with concern. “You’re addicted.”
I didn’t want to admit the truth to him because Damien had to feed me drugs when I was injured and needed to sleep it off.
He’d blame himself if I ever confessed to having a problem.
Quickly rethinking what to say, I knew this was also a form of denial.
My time in the trailer made me heavily addicted to what they had been giving me, but I needed it in the same sentence.
“I’m hurt,” I started. “My vagina is full of stitches that Hank might’ve reopened, and we both know some of my ribs are at minimum cracked from today. I want to take the edge off the pain after running.”
I kept my eyes forward. It was just an excuse to get my hands on more without making him feel like he became the dealer who got me hooked.
Ryatt’s family sold the drugs, so I knew who to loathe for it even though I’d be seeking one of their dealers when I left here.
Part of me also needed to find them and make sure they weren’t just as gutted as me.
“Can you promise this will be the last time? If I give you this, you’ll get clean?
” His dark eyes were haunted by drugs, but I knew I wasn’t strong enough to stop myself.
Pulling into a parking lot, I knew we’d be parting.
As long as I didn’t run into him too soon, I could hide what I had done to myself.
“I promise. Just take the pain away.” Sticking my arm out, he readied the syringe and stuck it into the tracks I already had on my arm. I closed my eyes, feeling the soothing rush of drugs. A level of bliss most wouldn’t understand.
When I opened my eyes, I found Anika standing in the distance with her brother.
They were driving a rundown Buick, but at least they had a ride.
Damien shrugged out of his flannel top to let me cover my body, and it smelled like him.
Inhaling it hard, he saw me give myself away.
Blushing just a bit, I also smiled. “You’re everything I can’t have, but I’ll never stop wanting you. ”
He pulled me in and kissed me deeply, letting me scent his sandalwood.
I held my breath for him not to smell what had been building in grossness for months.
Pulling back, I let my head fall to his chest. It was hard to part from him, but we knew neither of us could say the three little words sitting on the tips of our tongues.
This goodbye hurt more than I initially thought because I wanted him.
He got out first, coming to my side and carrying me over to my best friend. My arms circled around his neck as his sturdy body held me one last time. Then I was in the arms of the only person I trusted.
New tears found me as the drugs began kicking in. Anika took me, and thanked Damien right as I grew too tired to keep my eyes open. Closing them, it was to watch him walk away from me, but unlike Ryatt and his pack, he said goodbye.
