Chapter 81 Nobody Believes Her

These words were clearly the weather forecast that the program team placed on the screen for the viewers. After the audience realized this, the live stream comments surged, mostly with schadenfreude.

user @MiaIsKind: "I just said the program team was acting like jerks, and they immediately started causing trouble."

user @QueenBee: "These guests haven't done anything since they arrived. Will they all be drenched like drowned rats soon?"

user @SophiaProtector: "Even when it's not raining, the strong winds and waves on the sea are terrifying. A heavy rainstorm? I can't imagine."

user @MyHusbandEzra: "Seeing these guests still completely clueless, they're going to suffer tonight."

user @AppleSeed: "Hahahahaha, I love watching this.

I like seeing the program team tormenting these guests to death.

What's the point of shows that constantly elevate these celebrities and let them enjoy fine food and clothing every day?

Zero entertainment value. Program team, let the storm come even harder! "

user @DetectiveSoo: "Eh? Kendall opened her eyes. What's she going to do?"

user @GoddessMia: "Heh, she slept for two hours right after getting here, didn't participate in anyone's conversation, and has no enthusiasm or sense of teamwork. I hope everyone realizes the program team isn't coming back and kicks her out."

Kendall opened her eyes, the look in them clear and alert.

She had simply been resting with her eyes closed for these two hours and wasn't actually asleep.

Kendall stood up, her gaze calmly looking out into the distance.

The sea was turbulent, and waves rolled repeatedly towards the shore, crashing against the scorched rocks.

"Are you awake?" Henry cautiously approached Kendall and whispered, "The program team hasn't arrived for some reason. Everyone agreed to keep waiting."

"Mm-hmm." Kendall nodded without saying anything.

However, their actions still caught Mia's attention. Mia turned to look at Kendall and feigned surprise, speaking in a clear voice. "Kendall, you're awake? Two hours have passed, and the program team still hasn't arrived. We're discussing what to do. Do you have any good suggestions?"

Mia immediately threw the problem at Kendall.

Although there was no camera now, she didn't need to intentionally show goodwill to Kendall, but there were still a few other guests present.

Through two or three attempts to talk to Kendall today, where Kendall was consistently dismissive, Mia had realized that after her personality change, Kendall had not only become violent but also stubbornly inflexible.

Someone with Kendall's straightforward personality, who didn't understand pretence, was easy to deal with.

The kinder Mia's attitude was toward Kendall, the more it would highlight Kendall's coldness and lack of courtesy. All the guests were people. It would be strange if they developed a favourable impression of Kendall seeing her indifferent attitude!

Once director Sean and his team returned to resume recording, no guest will be willing to interact with her and she would definitely be hated by the audience!

Mia hadn't expected Kendall to answer her properly, but unexpectedly, after hearing her question, Kendall calmly said, "We can't keep waiting here."

"Ah? Why?" Mia pretended to be surprised, but secretly gloated, cursing Kendall as an idiot in her heart. Daniel just suggested everyone wait in place, and now Kendall was saying they couldn't wait here. What was that if not slapping Daniel's face?

user @ObsessedWithMia: "What's wrong with Kendall? She says she wants to leave the moment she wakes up?"

user @UnapologeticallyHonest: "Hmm? If she doesn't leave, should she wait to be drenched like a drowned rat?"

user @JustHereForFun: "Mia is acting weird.

She's tried to talk to Kendall several times, but Kendall's attitude is clearly cold, yet Mia keeps trying to warm up to her.

When everyone was talking and Kendall was 'sleeping', Mia looked at Kendall no less than ten times.

Now that she's awake, Mia immediately starts talking to her. It's so strange."

user @QueenMia: "Screw you! You're talking nonsense, you grew up eating poop! What do you mean our Mia is trying to warm up to Kendall? Kendall doesn't deserve it!"

Kendall looked up and pointed overhead. "If we don't leave soon, it might start raining. Our current location is too low and prone to high tide, so it's not safe."

user @RedUmbrella: "Ah???"

user @SophiaIsMyWife: "How does Kendall know it's going to rain!"

user @DanielDieHardFan: "Looking at the sky on the screen, it's clearly as bright as before, with a little bit of sunshine. If the program team didn't hint at it, who would know it's going to rain? Is Kendall cheating?"

Not only were the viewers on screen confused, but even the guests were clearly unconvinced after hearing Kendall's words. Ezra pointed at the sunlight breaking through the clouds and scoffed with disdain. "The sun is still out, and you say it's going to rain?"

Before participating in the show, he had read information online and knew that Kendall was not only living under the roof of the Hansen family but was also an ungrateful wretch.

Ezra especially looked down on Kendall. Only because the program team was present and cameras were rolling earlier did Ezra not express his inner disdain.

Now that there were no cameras, Ezra was naturally less cautious.

user @BlackDress: "Ezra's expression...? Why did his attitude toward Kendall suddenly change?"

user @EzraFan: "What do you mean suddenly changed? Our Ezra and that scum Kendall have never had any contact, okay."

user @EzraIsTheBest: "Our straightforward Ezra, who's been holding back for half a day, is probably about to lose it. Rightly so. Who wouldn't be disgusted by a heartless wretch?"

Kendall closed her eyes, feeling the slight coolness and humidity in the sea breeze, and said, "It's fine if you don't believe me."

She had said what needed to be said. Whether they believed it was their own business.

Kendall wasn't a particularly enthusiastic person.

In fact, her own personality was completely unrelated to the word 'enthusiastic'.

As a fellow participant, she offered a kind warning, but if the other party didn't believe it, she wouldn't force them. Everyone had the right to choose.

She hoisted her backpack and turned to walk in another direction.

Seeing that Kendall actually just walked away, everyone's expressions instantly froze.

"Seriously? She just left like that?" Liam looked incredulous and yelled at Kendall's retreating back, "Kendall! Get back here!"

Although he didn't like Kendall, she still carried a trace of Hansen family blood.

This isolated island was so deserted, and there was no telling what dangers lurked.

More importantly, if the program team returned and found someone missing, they definitely wouldn't just leave Kendall alone.

Kendall wasn't carrying any electronic devices or communication tools.

Wouldn't they then have to trouble them all to go look for her!

Hearing Liam's voice, Kendall didn't look back, only raising her hand to wave a perfunctory 'goodbye' gesture, which only made Liam angrier.

user @IAmHungry: "Huh? What's going on? Liam was the first one to try and stop Kendall from leaving?"

user @LoveTravelling: "Liam's expression looks so gloomy and angry. Scary."

user @CuriousCat: "Judging by Liam's attitude when he spoke to Kendall just now, do they know each other from before?"

user @BrattyBabe: "Kendall stayed at the Hansen family for a while, so of course they know each other. Seeing how bad Liam's attitude is toward her, you can tell how unlikable Kendall is."

Henry looked at Kendall's solitary figure leaving, a little worried. "Is it really okay for her to leave like that? I'm afraid something might happen."

Liam angrily retorted, "If something happens, she brought it on herself! We told her to come back, and she didn't listen!"

Henry lowered his gaze and stopped talking, but his expression suggested he was hesitating about something.

Sophia stood beside Daniel and pouted. "Why would it rain out of the blue? The sun is still out. Besides, the program team wouldn't choose rainy weather to film a show, would they? If we get sick, can the program team afford to handle it?"

user @CoolTeen: "Hahahaha, Sophia, you would never guess that the program team is the one causing this rain."

user @WildlifeExpert: "The person who says it won't rain because the sun is out, have you never heard of a sun shower?"

"I'll go with her. She's a girl, it's too dangerous for her alone," Henry suddenly spoke. He lifted his hiking backpack onto his back and then quickly followed after Kendall's retreating figure.

Watching Henry leave as well, the remaining people couldn't help but look at each other.

"I'm not leaving. I'm going to wait for the program team here," Ezra was the first to speak. He disliked Kendall to begin with, so chasing after her was absolutely impossible!

As for whether Kendall and Henry would run into any danger, that was even less of a concern for Ezra. If Kendall were to have a little accident, he might even secretly think, 'Heaven has eyes'!

Elijah had always stuck with Ezra, so if Ezra wasn't going, he naturally wasn't going either.

As for Daniel, he had just told everyone that staying put and waiting for the program team was the best method, and Kendall immediately contradicted him. He was a little displeased with Kendall's action of contradicting him and silently watched the two figures leave without saying anything.

"Oh dear, it's so dangerous for the two of them to leave like that," Mia stood there watching Kendall and Henry's figures, feigning worry as she stamped her foot. "What if they run into danger?"

"Don't worry about her," Jasper raised his hand and put his arm around Mia, a hint of distaste in his eyes. "Even if she runs into danger, she brought it on herself. It has nothing to do with us."

"Exactly. I already told her to come back. What can we do if she doesn't listen?" Liam agreed.

user @MiaNumberOneFan: "Oh my god, they said Kendall tried to seduce Mia's fiancé before, and now it seems it's true! Otherwise, why would Jasper dislike Kendall so much?"

Since no one else planned to leave, Sophia certainly wouldn't go either. She was an artist in the entertainment industry and preferred to associate with Daniel, Ezra, Mia, and the others.

Kendall and Mia's relationship determined that she couldn't have much contact with Kendall. As for Henry, who barely spoke a word all day, a penniless civilian with no utility value, he wasn't worth a second glance from her.

The remaining seven guests showed no intention of leaving. They returned to their previous spots and sat down, their eyes fixed on the waves across the sea, silently praying countless times for the program team to appear.

Mia frowned and quietly said, "I'm a little thirsty."

"I have two bottles of mineral water here, Mia. I'll get them for you," Jasper said, immediately rummaging through his backpack.

"I think I'm a little hungry too..." Sophia said awkwardly.

"Does anyone have anything to eat?" Her backpack was filled entirely with clothes, accessories, and cosmetics.

At this moment, Sophia regretted not at least putting one or two compressed biscuits in, even if she didn't pack a whole backpack full.

"I have some here," Daniel, who was next to her, replied.

"I have some snacks," Ezra said.

In fact, it wasn't just Sophia, they were all getting a little hungry.

Jasper said, "How about this? Everyone take out what you have to eat, and we'll share."

Hearing Jasper's suggestion, everyone reached into their backpacks to take out food. Sophia hadn't packed any food, so she didn't move. Mia was drinking the mineral water Jasper handed her, so she didn't move either.

The others took out the edible items from their backpacks.

A few bags of snacks and one bottle of soda water (Ezra), one bottle of mineral water, a few pieces of chocolate, and compressed biscuits (Jasper), two bottles of mineral water and five slices of bread (Liam), three packs of instant noodles and three bottles of water (Elijah), ten compressed biscuits and three bottles of water (Daniel).

Daniel asked, "Did everyone take out everything?"

Everyone nodded. Mia also nodded hesitantly.

user @TopCommentor: "???... I think I remember Mia secretly putting some snacks from her suitcase into her backpack... Why isn't she taking them out?"
