Chapter 4 Shen Huaizhi’s Breakfast Errands
When Shen Huaizhi returned, the atmosphere in the hall had turned a bit stiff.
He approached my side cautiously, not daring to breathe loudly. "A Yue, take a look..."
I gave the things he brought back a glance and let out a cold laugh. "Shen Huaizhi, I have a weak stomach. You brought me heavy greasy breakfast and wine heart chocolates?"
"You are really something!"
Shen Huaizhi's face immediately filled with panic. "A Yue, it was my negligence. Please forgive me this time, okay?"
I smiled. "Of course..."
His eyes brightened.
"No!" I turned my words sharply. "Go buy it again for me!"
Shen Huaizhi begged bitterly. "A Yue, just let me go. By the time I return, it will probably be noon already. It wouldn't be right for you to eat breakfast then."
"Who was it that stopped me from eating breakfast?" I looked at him sideways with a trace of contempt and countered.
Shen Huaizhi still wanted to argue a few more words, but seeing that everyone's attention had instantly focused on him, especially my dad's eyes that looked ready to tear him to pieces.
He knew he was at fault and went out to drive the car once more.
A mocking smile tugged at the corners of my mouth.
Breakfast?
Did I need the servants in my house to prepare something like that?
I had already eaten at home early on.
Two hours later, Shen Huaizhi returned once again.
And I used the excuse that the breakfast had cooled and the snacks were too rich to make him go buy once more.
Shen Huaizhi tried hard to calm himself down and went off dutifully again.
During this period, Gu Yehan did his best to please my parents, though it seemed to have no effect.
When Shen Huaizhi returned, our whole family had already finished lunch.
He carried a thermal box with still warm breakfast and all kinds of snacks inside.
"A Yue, how about me this time?"
I elegantly wiped my mouth with a napkin and looked up at him with indifference, the corners of my mouth lifting in just the right arc. "Shen Huaizhi, you came late. I have already finished lunch."
He could no longer restrain himself, anger filling his eyes.
"Song Yue, you did this on purpose, right?!"
"So what?" I wore a playful expression. "Didn't you say I 'act up'? Then today I will properly 'act up' for you to see!"
