Chapter 5 Gu Yehan’s Identity
"You!"
Shen Huaizhi was instantly at a loss for words.
"If Young Master Shen cannot even tolerate this, why not yield the position of Yueyue's fiance?" Gu Yehan stood up and came to my side.
Even though my dad and Gu Yehan had some unpleasantness before, Gu Yehan was after all a junior. The previous matters between the families had nothing to do with him.
My dad would not end up with a reputation for being narrow-minded.
"Where did this rotten kid pop out from?!"
Shen Huaizhi did not dare to go against the Song family, but for a nameless nobody he still dared to speak up.
But Shen Huaizhi holding such thoughts was clearly not going to have a good outcome.
"Allow me to introduce." The corners of my mouth lifted as I watched the show unfold. "This is Gu Yehan, the person I mentioned to you before who took care of me in the Gu family. He is now the head of the Gu family."
Shen Huaizhi and I grew up together, but Gu Yehan was after all a few years older than us. He went abroad shortly after graduating.
Shen Huaizhi had only seen Gu Yehan a few times and was not familiar with him.
He scrutinized Gu Yehan's face carefully. Sweat broke out on his forehead. He stuttered out "Gu Yehan" and then a fawning smile appeared on his face, though the smile did not reach his eyes.
Gu Yehan said directly, "Know your place."
Meanwhile I clutched my stomach and burst into laughter beside them.
After all Shen Huaizhi's performance was truly amusing.
"Since you know you are not worthy of Yueyue, why not hurry and cancel the engagement?"
Gu Yehan smiled warmly at me, then his gaze turned icy as it stabbed toward Shen Huaizhi.
Instead Shen Huaizhi smiled, a hint of smugness in his eyes. "Gu Yehan, marriages are arranged by parents and matchmakers. It's better for Gu Yehan not to interfere in family affairs."
His tone carried arrogance.
"Since that's the case then what does that Momo have to do with you and me? You should stop bringing her into our matters." Displeasure showed in my eyes. "Don't let every stray cat and dog come and provoke the Song and Shen families."
"You agree right Shen Huaizhi?" My tone was cold.
No matter what, I had to step forward.
Gu Yehan's expression softened.
Shen Huaizhi suppressed the anger in his eyes and said with grievance, "A Yue you are right. When I have time that day I will bring Momo to apologize."
"That's for the best." I sneered, the disdain in my eyes toward Shen Huaizhi.
Shen Huaizhi took a deep breath. "Since A Yue is fine now I will take my leave first..."
"Wait take this breakfast with you. I don't eat late breakfast." I pointed at the thermal box that Shen Huaizhi had casually set down.
"Okay, Yueyue."
There was a hint of gritted teeth in his voice.
