Chapter 6 Momo’s Arrival at the Song Family
But I would not let him off so easily.
In the evening I brought up the matter of canceling the engagement with my dad.
My dad naturally supported me.
The next day while I was still lying in bed asleep Shen Huaizhi arrived with that Momo.
I had just changed my clothes when I heard a sharp and sarcastic voice.

Before I could speak my dad slammed the table and stood up, his tone harsh.
"This is the Song family, Shen Huaizhi—not your Shen family!!"
"Shen Huaizhi if you don't like Yueyue just say it. Cancel the engagement then. Why insult people here!!" My mom also spoke righteously.
She had originally quite approved of me and Shen Huaizhi as childhood sweethearts but unfortunately Shen Huaizhi was not acting like a decent person.
Shen Huaizhi said, "Uncle Aunt I didn't mean that. I just hope that when A Yue speaks she can be a bit gentler..."
Hearing this I felt extremely disdainful.
"Yueyue is the daughter of the Song family. She doesn't need you to lecture her!!"

"I've seen the tricks of rich people before. Just bring it on! I'm not afraid if you dare!" Momo looked stubborn, appearing extremely pitiable.
But at this moment the only one who could help her, Shen Huaizhi, was still enduring the fury from my parents.
Feeling my gaze my parents smiled at me as if to say—
Relax, we've got this.
I turned my head to look at the still struggling Momo and said fiercely, "You really think I don't dare?!"
I threw her directly to the ground. She let out a painful cry, trying to attract Shen Huaizhi's attention.
But Shen Huaizhi didn't even deign to glance at her.

My parents and I watched his clumsy act with cold eyes.
