Chapter 6
Pak!
Pak!
"What the f-" Pak!
Aunty smacked us in the head with her big brush.
She's standing in front of us with her hands in her waist. She's dressed in a plain blue shirt with a little pocket on the left side, and denim shorts that reaches her knees and she is wearing blue sandals. She has her black hair tied up into a bun.
"Seriously, what is wrong? You made us come here just to hit us? What a warm welcome." She added.
We obeyed what she said and followed her there.
Her room was big considering she only lives alone. Her room is full of canvas, all made by herself of course.
How do I know? Well, it's not hard to guess. She always leaves the same mark in all her paintings, a little wolf.
Whenever her paintings are light, she puts a darker version of the wolf then if it's a dark painting, she puts white to make it more visible.
A wolf...
That's why I don't want to enter her bedroom, she has a wolf in every corner. She never knew of my nightmares because it was kept to us only.
She has a king sized bed at the left side of the wall, then she has a desk together with chairs at the foot of it.
Ever since the discussion in her room, Aunty has been actig more weird, she has been checking all the windows to see if it's locked or not. She always reminds us to lock it whenever we go to sleep.
She has been doing that for 4 days straight.
My sister and I are in separated rooms. My room is across from hers. Her room is tainted with pink walls, a cream colored bed, white drawers, cabinets and etc.
Mine has black walls, white ceiling and floor, brown cabinets, drawers etc. My bed is a queen size one and is color blue.
But the house only has one bathroom and is currently located beside the kitchen room.
In the past, we always share a room. That room was perfect for two people. But since she changed the whole look of the house, we have now our own rooms with our own taste.
There's one room though. Decorated with a light blue wall, furnitures are white and a comfortable king size bed.
It's empty and I know who it belongs to.
Thinking about him brought tears to my eyes but I held it in. Not now, not when our parents need us.
I am currently laying in my bed, looking at the ceiling, thinking of all the things that happened since I came home.
My parents disappearance, the letter I found, Aunt's words. It all doesn't make sense. It's giving me a headache.
I sighed heavily. I got up lazily and headed to the window. I looked up to the sky to see that the moon is full.
You'll know it's peaceful just by looking at it.
I closed my eyes for a brief moment and opened them. When I did, I looked down not knowing why I did, to see blue eyes found in the dark.
I suddenly backed up a little due to shock.
Who is that?
Gathering my courage, I opened my window to shout at them as to whoever they are. But before I could, they disappeared. My eyebrows knotted, confused. I blinked a few times.
What the.
It must be someone who is lost.
My heart was beating so fast. I speed walked to my bed and lied down.
I don't remember Aunt having ghosts around, nah uh.
I closed my eyes and sighed deeply, relaxing all my muscles and thinking about nothing.
Before I know it, darkness has consumed me. I didn't think it was possible for me to sleep after what I saw.
Yesterday night has been bugging me. It's so weird to see a person looking straight at you in the middle of the forest and at night.
We just finished breakfast and Aunty told us to come with her to visit some friends.
We're now in a very large town that's miraculously not far from Aunt's house. Note the sarcasm.
She literally chose to stay there when there's a town here. We've never got the chance to know that there's a town here, Aunt usually keeps us locked up inside, everyday.
She nodded back then walked away, leaving us in the middle of the town.
I should've said I don't have money.
