Chapter 7

It has been 3 hours since Kris has been going around the area for clothing stores and beauty shops looking for whatever she likes. The painful part is that I'm with her.

It's raining today so it's kinda hard to go from shop to shop and plus, we didn't carry an umbrella with us.

Groaning, I let her keep dragging me.

For what seems to be like forever, Kris decided to stop.

Kris and I decided to settle down and eat.

I checked my watch to see it's already 5 o' clock.

I was about to tell Kris the time, but before I could raise my head, I bumped into someone. Luckily not falling down on my butt, I regained my balance.

Did he just call me rogue?

Before he could walk away, I grabbed his arm.

Did I just swear.

I don't tolerate disrespect, ever.

He laughed, he freaking laughed. My face remained stoic.

I looked at him up and down. He was wearing an expensive looking tux paired with a Rolex watch.

Would you look at that.

I got distracted and let my guard down, damn it.

My face hurts. I touched my left cheek and hissed. It's gonna leave a bruise.

There goes my calm state. I raised my head and looked at him dead in the eye.

He just 'tsked' and continued walking. Obviously ignoring my presence.

But before he can, I grabbed his arm and turned his face to me. And I did I thought I wouldn't do.

I punched him straight in the face, making him close his eyes, and letting him feel the burning sensation on his face. He hissed.

When he lost his balance and fell on his knees, I kneed his face, then I kicked his sides with so much force, I know it'll leave a bruise. Now we're even.

I was so mad.

Who punches a girl for bumping into them? Jerks.

Then I flicked his forehead. He flinched.

Before I could do anything more worse than that, my sister pulled me out of the circle and grabbed our bags.

Wonder what his problem was. _

Thinking of forgetting something, I checked my watch to see that it's past 5. Oh no.

I hurriedly walked, dragging Kris with me to where our Aunt left us before.

She furrowed her eyebrows but nodded, understanding my point.

When we got there, Aunty was walking back and fourth.

She turned to us and sighed. She looked at the sky and closed her eyes for a brief moment and opened them.

We went home after that. Aunty has been quiet ever since. She cooked our dinner but she didn't talk, she washed the dishes but still didn't talk. She was quiet the whole time. I knew she was thinking of something.

It's already 9 PM so we headed to our rooms. The blue eyes still present on my mind.

I made the decision to give up since I was exhausted and go to bed early. I wrapped the blanket around my face.

Before I could sleep, I heard a whoosh then darkness consumed me. I forgot to close my window.

I was standing in the middle of the forest. Wherever I look, it's dark and what you see is very limited.

I was looking around when I heard a loud growl behind me.

Shocked, I slowly turned around to see a big dark wolf baring it's teeth at me.

I gulped. Is this where I die?

Before I knew it, I was running for my life.

No. No. What is this?

I curiously looked back while still running to see the wolf not moving an inch. But it must be bait to stop me so I ran faster.

I ran for what felt like a minute until I came across a large, dark cave. I entered and allowed the gloom to engulf me. I sat down and sighed.

That's my first time seeing a wolf that big.

I heard a bark outside this cave so I peaked. There it was, its front was bend, sniffing the ground.

It continued to sniff as it ascended over this cave. Time passed, and all I could hear and feel was the wind's chill and the whooshing of the trees.

Gathering all my courage, I went out of the cave. I looked around noticing nothing.

I took a deep breath and sighed. I think I'm safe.

I spoke too soon. Before I know it, I was tackled to the ground. I close my eyes as instinct.

When I opened them, I was facing a green eyed wolf snapping it's teeth at me.

So I screamed and hit it the best I can.

I opened my eyes to see the wolf barking.

Wait.

Did the wolf just talk?

"Katie!" That's my name!!

"Katie wake up!"

Wake up? What?

"Katie, get up!"

Slap!

Right. Again.

In frustration, I closed my eyes. I can't believe that still occurs; for a while, I believed I was past it.

When I was 9 years old, I use to have those bad dreams. The wolf chasing me, the wolf talking but inaudible, which is still a mystery to me.

Every night, my parents would wake me up from sleep to stop my screams and cries. It stopped when I was 11 years old.

In those years, my parents tried to get me a sleep specialist. So it was hell for the whole family.

The nightmares were to blame at the time, but now I blame myself for letting cowardice rule.

So she did lie down with me hugging her teddy bear and me.

When I knew that she was sleeping peacefully, only then did I sleep. Good thing that the nightmares didn't occur a second time.

Let's just hope it won't happen again tomorrow.
