At Oberoi Office : ??????

The atmosphere inside the conference room was intense. Not a single unnecessary sound could be heard.
The long glass table reflected the bright lights above, separating two of the most influential business groups in the country.
On one side sat the representatives of Oberoi Industries.
On the other side sat the members of Thakur Industries.
Every person present carried the same expression..
Focused.Professional.
At the head of the table sat Aarav Oberoi.
His posture was calm and confident. His sharp eyes moved through the documents in front of him, carefully analyzing every detail.
Beside him sat his senior team members, ready with their reports.
Across from him sat Omkar Thakur.
He was completely different.
The playful smile was gone. The careless attitude had disappeared.
In business world , he looked exactly like a businessman.
Focused.Professional.
A large presentation screen behind them displayed the details of the upcoming project.
One of the Oberoi team members stood up and began explaining the financial structure.
"The estimated investment will be divided into three major phases." His voice was clear as he pointed toward the presentation.
"The first phase will focus on product development and infrastructure."He clicked to the next slide.
"The second phase will focus on market expansion and customer reach."
Another slide appeared.
"And the final phase will focus on international distribution and establishing a global presence."
Everyone listened carefully.
The team member looked toward Aarav.
"These projections are based on current market conditions and future growth possibilities."
Aarav remained silent for a moment.
His eyes stayed fixed on the numbers.
Then slowly...
He closed the file in front of him.
"The structure looks good."His voice was calm.
But the authority behind it immediately caught everyone's attention.
However, he continued.
"There is one thing I want to make absolutely clear."
The room became quieter.Everyone looked toward him.Aarav leaned slightly forward.
"The quality of this project should never be compromised just to increase profit margins."His tone became firm.
"There is always pressure to reduce costs and increase numbers."He looked around the table.
"But we are not creating something that will disappear after one successful year."His eyes became sharper.
"We are building a reputation. For both companies."
A small pause followed.
The Thakur Industries members exchanged impressed looks.
They understood exactly why Aarav had built such a successful empire.
He wasn't only focused on money. He focused on legacy.
Omkar, who had been quietly listening, leaned back slightly.
A small smile appeared on his face.
"That's exactly why Thakur Industries agreed to work with Oberoi Industries."His voice carried respect.
"Because both companies believe reputation matters more than temporary success?"Aarav looked toward him.
Omkar nodded. His expression remained professional.
"Businesses can recover from losses. But once trust is lost...It's difficult to earn it back."His eyes moved briefly across the room.
One of the investors smiled and said,"It seems both of you share a very similar vision."
He looked between Aarav and Omkar.
"That is rare in partnerships."
Both men remained silent. Then Omkar gave a small smile.
"Maybe or maybe...we simply understand what good business requires." His eyes briefly moved toward Aarav.
He adjusted the documents in front of him.
Aarav noticed the hidden meaning behind his words. But he chose not to react.Instead, he looked back at the contract papers.
"We still have a few details to finalize before signing the agreement.Let's complete those first."His voice returned to its professional tone.
The meeting continued.
For the next hour...Every single point was discussed carefully.
Both companies analyzed every possibility before making the final decision.
Finally....
The last document was placed on the table. One of the investors smiled.
"I believe everything has been finalized."He looked between both companies.
"We hope this partnership becomes a successful milestone for both Oberoi Industries and Thakur Industries."
Aarav stood up.His expression remained calm.
"It will." Aarav said.
He extended his hand. The investor shook it firmly.
Omkar stood next.He exchanged handshakes with the remaining members.
Then finally...
He turned toward Aarav. For a brief moment, two businessmen looked at each other.
"Looking forward to working together."Omkar extended his hand.
His voice carried sincerity. Aarav looked at his hand for a second.
Then accepted it.
"Same."His reply was short.
After the final greetings were exchanged, everyone slowly left the conference room.
The sound of footsteps faded.
Aarav remained standing near the table for a moment. Looking at the signed documents.
Another major deal completed. Another responsibility added.
He picked up the file and walked toward his office.
Meanwhile..
Omkar stood outside the conference room for a few seconds. His usual carefree expression slowly returned.
But something about today's meeting stayed on his mind.
Especially Aarav's words.
"Reputation matters more than profit."
A small smile appeared on his face.
Then he turned and walked away.
Inside his office..
Aarav placed the file on his desk.
He loosened his tie slightly and sat down.
The calm businessman from the meeting disappeared. He looked out through the glass window of his office.
The office was dead silent, save for the hum of the air conditioner, but his mind remained tethered to an exhausting mountain of work.
Suddenly...
Knock. Knock.
Aarav didn't even lift his gaze from the paper in his hand.
"Come in," he called out, his voice laced with the heavy fatigue .
Silence.
His eyebrows pulled together in a slight frown. Maybe the hallway noise had drowned out his voice.
He shifted in his leather chair, waiting, but the door remained firmly shut.
Knock. Knock.
This time, Aarav looked up, his patience already fraying at the edges.
"Who is it? Don't i tell you come in!!" He said.
Nothing but hollow silence. A spike of irritation flashed through his chest.
"Is someone seriously trying to waste my time right now?" He shouted on that person.
He stood up, straightened his suit jacket, and walked over to the door.
Pulling it open, he looked left, then right down the long, carpeted hallway.
It was completely empty.
Aarav let out a harsh, irritated sigh.
"Unbelievable. It's prank or something . " he muttered, shaking his head.
He pulled the door shut, walked back to his desk, and dropped heavily into his chair.
He had barely touched the armrests when..
Knock. Knock.
His jaw tightened, a muscle ticking in his cheek. He shot up from his seat, his eyes darkening with anger.
This wasn't a mistake; someone was deliberately playing games with him.
"Enough of this stupid prank or i promise you will regret!" he called out, striding back toward the entrance.
"Whoever is outside, stop wasting my time!" He said.
Silence answered him once more, followed immediately by another soft, teasing knock.
Aarav yanked the door open violently, ready to snap at whichever intern was pulling a stunt.
Nobody.
He stared into the empty corridor, his breathing slightly heavy then he left the door wide open as he turned back toward his desk.
He hadn't even taken three steps inside when a pair of soft, slender arms suddenly wrapped around his waist from behind.
Aarav froze instantly, his heart slamming against his ribs but before he could move, a faint, lingering fragrance hit him jasmine and vanilla, delicate, warm, and painfully familiar.
It was a scent etched so deeply into his soul that his body recognized it before his mind even processed it.
His breath caught in his throat. His chest heaved as his eyes widened in sheer disbelief.
"Aditi? Is that you?.." he whispered, his voice trembling with an overwhelming wave of shock.
The soft body pressed against his back gave a light, musical chuckle.
"How did you know it was me?" Aditi asked him.
Aarav turned around slowly .
The moment his eyes landed on her standing there in a radiant crimson dress.
The pending deals, the mountain of stress, the crushing weight of his duties everything vanished.
"Aditi! Iam dreaming? Is this really you.." His voice cracked, thick with an emotion .
He stared at her, his jaw slightly slack, unable to process that after six agonizing months of long distance separation, she was finally standing right in front of him.
Aditi offered him a soft, breathless smile, her own eyes glistening with unshed tears.
"Yeah it's me. Your lover !!"Aditi said.
" How..! I mean..i just don't believe!!" He said as he was so shocked.
"Surprised, my love?" Aditi asked him.
Aarav took a breath as his eyes got tears which he was holding , his hands trembling as he reached out, gently cupping her cheeks as if checking whether she was truly real.
"You... you are impossible." he breathed out.
Aditi let out a melodious laugh, leaning her face lovingly into his warm palm.
"That's not a proper answer, Aarav." Aditi said.
"Why didn't you tell me?Why didn't you give me even a hint that you were flying back today?" he asked softly, pulling her an inch closer, his one hand on her waist .
Aditi looked up into his dark eyes, a proud, playful glint dancing in her gaze.
"Because I wanted to see this exact look on your face. I wanted to catch you completely off guard." Aditi answered him.
Aarav shook his head, a breathless, utterly smitten laugh escaping his lips.
"You have no idea what you just did to me. You are really something." he murmured.
"You have no idea how agonizingly much I missed you. Every single second felt like an eternity." He said to her.
