Chapter 136

The Malhotra Mansion was decorated with the lights and diyas.

The house helpers were arranging everything, moving here and there carrying sweets and gifts.

Advait was standing in the living room talking to someone on the call.

Shreya stepped into the living room, holding a diya in her hands and jingling her anklets.

Advait looked in the direction and his heart skipped a beat looking at his gorgeous wife.

The soft glow of diya was radiating on her face making her looking more beautiful under the glow.

She stepped forward and stopped in front of Advait. He hung up the call before tossing his phone in his pocket and with a swift motion he pulled her by her waist catching her off guard. The diya was still in her hands and his arms were draped around her waist.

"Beautiful." He murmured near her lips making her blush.

Her neck turned red in shyness and she looked down but suddenly looked up at him with narrowed eyes.

"Kya hua, biwi?" He asked softly.

She swatted away his chest before making a distance, "Aapne aaj bhi kaala pehen liya?" She asked in a slight irritation. Advait rolled his eyes at her exaggerated reaction.

"Kitni baar kaha hai festivals par kaala nahi pehente lekin nahi meri sunni hi nahi hai.

" She ranted while placing the diya on the table but Advait held her wrist and twirled her back to him before pressing his cold finger on her lip, "Shh.

" She blinked her eyes looking at him innocently.

He leaned down to her eye level and mumbled, "I love you.

" The air was tensed between them because of the close proximity.

"Hum hall me hai, koi aa jayega." She said weakly.

"To phir room me chalte hain." He said in a husky voice.

"Maine kuch nahi dekha." Vanya chirped loudly, jolting them straight.

Advait groaned in annoyance making Shreya giggled at his reaction.

Vanya stepped forward and hugged Advait, "Happy diwali, bhaiya." She squealed in his embrace. Advait smiled softly before pecking on her head, "Happy diwali, Princess." He wished her back.

Vanya turned towards Shreya and hugged her tightly before murmuring an apology with a giggle to spoil their moment. She wished her and Shreya wished her back.

"Baaki sab log kahan hain?" Shreya asked.

"Wo log pooja kar rahe the, mai bore ho rahi thi islie jaldi aa gayi." She replied making Shreya shook her head at her behavior.

Angad wheeled himself to the living room and smiled at everyone. Shreya walked to him and bent down to touch his feet. Angad smiled before patting her head lovingly.

"Khush raho, beta." Angad blessed.

Advait hesitated but bent down to touch his feet murmuring a, "Happy diwali." Angad's heart swelled with the happiness as he wasn't expecting this that Advait would acknowledge him. He blessed him with all his heart.

Angad's eyes shifted on Vanya who was standing there with a nonchalant look on her face, "Happy diwali, beta." He said with a smile.

"Sad diwali." Vanya replied with a tight lipped smile.

"Vani." Shreya chided her making her look away.

Vanya's gaze landed on Sadhwi who was coming out of the kitchen. She smiled and ran to her before pulling her in a tight hug, "Happy diwali, Sadhwi." She said.

Sadhwi blinked in a slight disbelief as Vanya was talking to her with a smile on her face, "Same to you, mam." She replied.

Vanya waved her hand in the air, "Oh please, formality ki jarurat nahi hai... You can call me Vani like others." She said.

Sadhwi smiled but then blinked with a pout, "But aap to mujhse badi hain to mai aapka naam kaise le sakti hoon?" She asked.

Vanya rolled her eyes, "Okay to di bol lo mujhe koi problem nahi hai." She replied.

Sadhwi quickly nodded her head, "Okay di." She said with an innocent smile.

"Aap aaj bohot sundar lag rahi hain." Sadhwi praised.

"Wo to mai har roj hi lagti hoon." Vanya replied, flipping her hair back.

Aditya stepped down the stairs and walked to Advait. He bent down to touch his feet, "Happy diwali, bhaiya." He said cheerfully.

Advait hugged him to his chest, "Happy diwali, baccha."

Aditya shifted his gaze towards Shreya and touched her feet, "Happy diwali, bhabhi maa." He said, kissing on her cheek, "Mera beta." Shreya pulled his cheeks in a playful manner.

Angad was also there and waiting for Aditya's acknowledgement. Shreya noticed it and gestured to Aditya to take his father's blessings but he shook his head in return.

"Adi, dad hain wo tumhare unka aashirvaad nahi loge?" She said in a low voice.

"Maine apne dad ka aashirvaad le liya hai, bhabhi." Aditya replied and walked away from there.

Shreya glanced at Angad who was looking down with a defeated face.

Sadhwi was walking in the hallway while adjusting her hair when her jhumka got stuck in her hair strands.

She stopped and started fixing her jhumka when she heard a sound of clicking a picture from behind her.

She looked back and Arush was standing there, holding his phone with a mischievous smile on his face.

"Tumne meri photo click ki?" She asked, narrowing her eyes.

Arush nodded his head and turned back his phone to her side to show her the picture.

Sadhwi smiled at the photo, "Wow kitni acchi photo li hai tumne." She said.

"Photo acchi nahi hai, iss photo me jo hai wo acchi hai." Arush replied smoothly, taking steps towards her.

She looked down with a blush coated on her cheeks. Arush stopped in front of her and leaned down before gently pulling her jhumka out of her hair strand without breaking an eye contact with her. The butterflies started dancing in her stomach at the simple gesture.

"Happy diwali." Arush whispered, looking straight in her eyes and walked away from there with a smile.

Sadhwi kept froze on her place. Her breathing was heavy. Her chest was heaving up and down and her gaze was fixed in front of her at nothing.

Abhishek was scrolling in his phone. His gaze was fixed on the screen. His muscles were flexing in his perfectly fitted kurta making him look hot. He turned back when a soft voice reached to his ears.

"Happy diwali, Abhi."

Abhishek turned back and looked at Sia who was looking extraordinary beautiful in the white anaarkali suit. Abhishek's gaze lingered on her for a moment longer.

"Looking beautiful, nerdy." He said, stepping towards her.

"Thank you!" Sia replied shyly.

"Tum bhi acche lag rahe ho." She replied.

"Dad ne pandit ji se baat ki thi unhone isi week me engagement ki date nikaali hai." She informed him.

Abhishek nodded his head.

"Tumhe koi problem to nahi haina?" She asked.

"Mujhe koi problem nahi hai." Abhishek replied with assurance.

"Tum khush ho na?" He asked her.

She nodded, "Bohot jyada." She said in a low voice, barely hiding her smile.

Abhishek looked at her smiling face and it gave a familiar peace to his heart. He stopped in front of her before cupping her cheeks, "I promise mai tumhare chehre se ye smile kabhi nahi jaane dunga." Abhishek said to her. His voice was filled with sincerity.

Sia's heart swelled with the happiness. She was feeling tingling sensation inside her body just by his mere touch.

"I love you, Abhi." She whispered.

Abhishek felt a pang of hurt inside his chest for not responding to her feelings but he pulled her in a hug to masked it. She was surprised but melted in his arms, wrapping her arms around his torso.

Vanya was in Aditya's room and clicking mirror pictures of herself.

Aditya was watching her, silently sitting on the couch.

Vanya looked at him through the mirror and winked at him making his heart skipped a beat.

She turned around and gestured him to come to her with her finger.

Aditya obeyed without hesitation and walked to her but the moment he reached to her, she grabbed him by his collar and stood up on her toes before kissing on his lip.

Aditya caught off guard, he was bewildered, it would be an understatement.

His heart had stopped beating and his whole body turned cold due to the unknown sensation.

He blinked his eyes when he heard a sound of a click.

Vanya moved back and showed the picture to him.

"Kaisi hai?" She asked teasingly.

In the picture, Aditya's one arm was wrapped around her waist. She was holding him by his collar from her one hand and there was the phone in her another hand. Their lips were pressed to each other. Their bodies were forcefully glued to each other.

Vanya looked at his shocking state and snapped her fingers in front of his eyes.

He jolted out of his shock and the next moment, pressed her to the near by wall before pressing his lips onto hers.

Vanya smiled through the kiss and started responding it, moving her lips in the sync.

Aditya's hand was tightly gripping her waist, there was no room left between them.

The proximity was heavy and tensed between them.

Vanya's hands were roaming over his back and her eyes were rolled back in pleasure.

After kissing the hell out of the each other's, they pulled back and joined their foreheads.

Their chests were heaving up and down and eyes were misted.

"I love you, Vanu." He whispered.

"I love you more, Adi." She whispered back and again pecked his lips.

Reyansh was looking at his wife with a tired face who was having sweets like dinner. Tia was craving sweets so Reyansh offered her one piece of it but she shoved that one piece in his mouth and snatched the plate from him.

"Baby, bas karo." Reyansh requested.

"Just one more." Tia said with her mouth full.

"No more. Itni sweets khaogi to health kharab ho jayegi tumhari bhi aur humari choti si baby ki bhi." Reyansh said, snatching the plate away from her hand.

"Choti si baby nahi, chotu sa baby." Tia corrected him.

Reyansh shook his head, "No, choti si baby matlab meri angel." He said with a smile.

"Tumhari angel nahi, mera hero aayega." She said with a smirk.

"Accha ji, tumhe bada pata hai?" He murmured near her face.

"Baby kiske tummy me hai?" She raised her brow.

"Point." Reyansh agreed, "But mujhe to meri choti si angel chahiye." He said with dreamy eyes.

Tia chuckled, "Angel ho ya hero, hoga to humara hi baby na. Hum dono ko hi bohot saara pyar karenge." She said with a smile.

Reyansh placed his palm on her tummy with a grateful smile on his face, "Mai bohot khush hoon Tia finally humari family complete ho jayegi." He said in a low voice, his emotions were bubbled up in his throat.

"I love you, Ansh." She said.

"And I love my both babies." He said, tucking a hair strand behind her ear.

Everyone was enjoying the diwali, they were bursting the crackers together. Vanya was bursting the crackers and Aditya was taking videos of her. Arush was taking selfies with Sadhwi as she was lighting up a fooljhadi. Abhishek and Sia were looking at them while standing in the corner.

"Arey bhabhi ji aap bhi aaiye na." Aditya said to her but she shook her head.

"Nahi, mujhe patakho se dar lagta hai." Sia replied.

Aditya shook his head and held her hand before taking her with himself, "Chaliye na bhabhi, kuch nahi hoga. Mai hoon na." He said in a reassuring voice.

But Abhishek held Sia's hand from behind and stopped her. He made Aditya leave her hand before saying, "Usne bol diya na usey dar lagta hai, phir kyun force kar raha hai?"

"Ohhhhhooooo!" The troublemakers started hooting in a teasing manner.

Abhishek looked away and Sia looked down with her face turned cherry red.

"Possessive huh?" Aditya asked teasingly.

"Lagaun abhi ek?" Abhishek threatened him.

"Bhaiyaaaa!" Aditya ran away from there shouting.

They all were seated on their respective chairs in the dining room.

Angad was also present there, Abhishek, Aditya and Arush had objected but Advait shut them down with a glare.

Aditya was seated beside Vanya and Abhishek was seated beside Sia.

The poor Arush was missing Sadhwi so much but kept his gaze on the food in his plate.

"Pandit ji ne iss hafte ki sagaai ki tareek nikaali hai." Tripti informed everyone.

"Sagaai?" Angad's voice echoed, "Kiski sagaai?"

"Aap khane par focus kariye na." Aditya replied.

"Adi." Advait said in a warning tone.

"Abhi ki sagaai ki baat ho rahi hai. Sia ke saath." Shreya informed him.

Angad smiled listening to it but stayed silent.

"To phir taiyaari shuru karte hain." Tia chirped up.

Sia smiled looking at her sister's excitement. She was happy because her sister has accepted the alliance.

"Par itne kam time me itni saari taiyaari kaise hogi?" Sia asked in tension.

"Tum aur Abhi bas kal jaa kar rings pasand kar lena baaki ki taiyaari hum par chordo." Shreya replied assuringly.

"Oh my god!" Vanya said in excitement, "Itne time baad ghar me koi shaadi ho rahi hai, kitni saari shopping karni baaki hai maine to abhi tak dress bhi select nahi ki aur jewelery aur mak......

"Bas bas bas Vanu relax." Aditya calmed her down, "Mai hoon na, hum dono saath me shopping karne chalenge." He told her.

"Mai bhi aaunga." Reyansh spoke up in a protective tone and everyone looked at him.

He awkwardly scratched the back of his neck, "I-I mean hum sab aayenge. Hum sab saath me shopping karenge." He covered up.

Advait's phone ringed up and he left the table before excusing himself.

He walked to the living room, his phone was pressed to his ear.

He was engrossed on the call that he hadn't noticed a chandelier was hanging over his frame only with a one hook.

The chandelier was slowly moving left to right as it was trying to balance itself.

The end was loose and finally it slipped down from the ceiling and fall but someone had pushed him and the chandelier touched the floor, making a huge sound and breaking into pieces.

"Vani!" Everyone shouted when they noticed Vanya's arm was bleeding. The chandelier touched her arm and it's sharp edge cutted her delicate skin making the blood flow out of it.

Everyone ran to her, Advait was trying to comprehend the situation but his senses got altered when he noticed the blood on Vanya's arm.

"Aru, first-aid laa jaldi." Advait instructed him.

Arush ran away from there to bring the first-aid.

Everyone made Vanya sat down on the couch.

Simran sat down beside her and took her in her embrace as she had started crying in pain.

Shreya was glancing between the chandelier and Advait.

She couldn't even imagine what could have happened if Vanya didn't pushed him on the time.

She hugged Advait to reassure herself that he was safe.

Aditya was sitting in front of Vanya on his knees. His face was covered in concern for her, "Vanu, please stop crying." He said, gently wiping off her tears.

Arush returned with the first-aid box and handed it to Aditya but his hands were trembling looking at the blood on her love. He wasn't in the condition to bandage her, Reyansh took the first-aid from him and started cleaning her wound. He bandaged, wrapping the gauze around her arm.

"Kya jarurat thi superman banne ki?" Advait chided her gently, taking her in a hug.

Shreya hugged her tightly, her breathing wasn't stable. She pulled back and cupped her cheeks, "Tu theek hai?" She asked.

Vanya nodded her head wiping off her tears with the back of her hand.

"Thank you so much, Vani. Agar tu time par bhaiya ko dhakka nahi deti to...." Abhishek thanked her. He wasn't able to complete the sentence.

"I'm proud of you." Reyansh murmured, pecking her head.

"Jyada pain ho raha hai?" Raj asked.

She shook her head in denial, "Bas thoda sa."

"Vani di ki to happy diwali man gayi." Arush said in a joking tone but everyone glared at him making him shut his mouth down.
