Chapter 19 #3
She slipped into the water and let it lap over her. The heat relaxed her shoulders and she rested her head back on the lip of the tub. She remembered their time together how she and Dante had spent some time making love in the tub. She couldn’t make herself call it fucking.
It had been hot and a couple of times they had spilled water on the floor when they were in there together.
It had been fun. Her nipples hardened at the memory.
She wanted to touch herself, but she wouldn’t.
She had been in there long enough. She didn’t want Dante to walk in on her, so she drained the tub and got out.
Since she had all her clothes, she could wear lounge wear to bed instead of her usual.
But she liked night dresses. She didn’t like to wear pants or shorts to sleep in.
But she could suck it up for the time it would take for them to find a bigger place.
She knew she and Dante could restart their physical relationship, but she couldn’t.
It would only draw her in deeper. She knew he wouldn’t push her to either.
But what she had told him was true. She didn’t want to be married to the mob, although she now was.
But that was something else. He had said she wouldn’t get in trouble.
But look where she was now. Married to a mobster to keep from being put in jail, even though she didn’t know anything.
She had been right not to trust him. So there was not going to be any accidental sleep sex between them.
She would wear a tank and pants. Because she couldn’t trust herself.
That decided she dressed for bed and went to sleep.
Madison woke up to find Dante’s hard cock pressed against her ass. She worked her hips on it to try to help it find her entrance. Ugh, why did she have these stupid pants on? She reached for his cock and could feel the weight of it in her hand. With her other, she tried to pull her clothes off.
Why wasn’t Dante helping? It was normal for him to pull her panties to the side and plunge in. He couldn’t because she had pants and panties on.
“Dante.” It had been like routine that when she said his name, he knew what she wanted and gave it to her, but this time was different.
Dante peeled her hand off his cock and moved her over to the opposite side of the bed.
Right, that’s why she had on pants and panties. So this wouldn’t happen. If it had been someone else, they wouldn’t have stopped her. But that was one thing with Dante. If there was anything iffy or if there wasn’t clear consent, he wouldn’t move forward.
Even in the middle of the night, he would make sure she was awake and wanted it, before he acted.
He rolled over, and she lay there embarrassed.
She wanted to cry herself to sleep, but that would go against everything she was trying not to do.
She didn’t want him to know she was awake. She lay there until she fell asleep.
It happened several times that night, because in sleep, they would be drawn together. Each time Dante moved her over. She guessed that that was the last straw because he just got up and left the room and then she did let soft sobs take over until she cried herself back to sleep.

Madison woke up alone. She wasn’t sure if Dante was still home or not. She needed to meet her model Becky that afternoon. She would have to tell her the location had changed. Or maybe she would just do it at her place. They packed it up, but she still had the apartment for the month.
She dressed and went out to find Dante in the kitchen.
“Good morning.”
“Good morning, thank you.” She took the coffee he held out for her. She didn’t know where to look, she could only remember him rejecting her over and over and over during the night. He looked tired. Where had he gone to sleep when he left the bedroom?
“What are your plans for the day?”
“Nothing much. Fashion week is this weekend, so it’s just the final touches. I meet with Becky today, and tomorrow the fashion house is letting me do the interview.”
“Oh, that’s great.”
“Yeah. They were more sympathetic once they learned Henry had died.”
“I can see you beating yourself up, but you didn’t know. You were doing what you believed was best in the situation. We can always see the better path after you’ve taken a different one.” He sat his coffee cup down. “Come here, please. You look like you need a hug.”
And she did. Her legs didn’t listen to her brain and walked her over to Dante’s embrace. It was comforting being in his arms again.
“I wanted to talk to you about a couple things before I left for the day.”
“Ok, sure.” She stepped back. Her body reacted to being near to his, and she needed to put some space between the two of them.
“First, I looked for a house in our holdings, but there is nothing that fits what we will both need. So I’ll work with Lucca to find a place.”
“Ok. How long do you think that will take?”
“I’m not sure.”
“How long did it take you to find this place?”
“It took a couple of years to find it, and then I needed to renovate it, so it was close to three years before I moved in.”
Shit. She couldn’t go on like last night for three years. She didn’t know how she would make it a week.
“Second, I’ve assigned men to follow you, just to make sure you’re ok.”
“Why?”
“Because of my ties, people might think that by getting to you they can get to me.”
“So I’m in danger again.”
“It’s possible. But my guys are good. You won’t notice them unless you need them, and this is more a precautionary measure than anything else. There haven’t been any threats made.”
“But it’s still early, right?”
He tilted his head in acknowledgment. “True.”
“Ok. Is there anything else?”
I think that’s it. I have a meeting, so I’ll be out for most of the day.”
“Ok.”
“I’ll be going.” Before she knew what hit her, he dropped his head and put a quick peck on her lips. The touch was electric, and she moaned and Dante deepened the kiss. She fisted his shirt and tried to get closer to him. He broke away from her.
“See you tonight.” And he was gone.
